You don’t need to believe in god to be a good person. Just be a good person! I believe in god btw.. but bo is absolutely right with the stuff he says in this song.
I concur :)
Ive found people who believe in an afterlife just use that as an excuse to not care about this life. Its sad but no one wants to die so I guess we have to have this global scam so people can pretend they get to keep living when they die. So many christians are only christian because their country had gold when the Spaniards arrived.
@@SebsDuran What you said in response as to why you are religious is how you can tell the charlatans from people who take the best messages of religion to heart. Coming from a scientist/atheist, it seems to me what is happening is that people will either use strict adherence to dogmatic literal-ism as their guiding star out of fear of damnation, making them little more than rule making, overbearing, authoritarians. But those with true empathy and conviction will distill the text down to life lessons that make things better for the entirety of creation, and at that point, who we think did the creating doesn't really matter to me, it's still a positive process...Thank you for your honesty, just two cents from a different angle. It's very reminiscent of the line from Bo Burnham's God song, "My love's the type of thing that you have to earn, and when you earn it, you won't need it." If you're a good, empathetic, and compassionate person, you won't have to worry about God's love saving you...Peace bro...
@@42Mrgreenman I think you've kinda summarized the good and the bad of Christians perfectly without even being a Christian lol. I did see a lot of people with that same idea though that the "my loves the type of thing" line means that if you're a good person, you don't need God's love, though that isn't true. The only way to heaven is through God and his love and grace, not your own good doings. I guess that stuff wouldn't really matter to you if you aren't a believer though lol.
I do wish that others could see Christianity as you do though because a lot of people look down on Christians and think we hate everyone, which is mostly because of those of us who use the Bible to condemn others rather than use it to spread a positive message.
Yeah it's called being good for goodness sake
Bro you get a like purely because of the fact that you're reacting while on the treadmill--respect! 😅
I love you!!
@@SebsDuran I also found the treadmill to be very unique. If I could very humbly suggest, have you ever considered decreasing speed juuuust a tad so that you're not quite so winded during videos? Not trying to backseat on your workout man, just think it would improve the quality slightly. In any case, thanks man and have a good one.
@@SebsDuran Is it hard to write replies to the comments while walking on the treadmill?
@@DarthBil1 he never stops
Hmm, that's why I stopped watching it he was breathing heavy before it started
I am an atheist and the last half of this song is so touching and beautiful.
As a former Christian now Atheist/Satanist this song while not the only thing, was definitely one of the things that pushed me to abandoning my faith. It definitely holds a special place in my heart.
It's very eye opening
When he says, "My loves the type of thing you need to earn, when you earn it you wont need it." I consider that, if we all are what Gods wants us to be, Earth would be peaceful and loving and we wouldnt dislike living here so much. God will still love us when we earn it, but we wont need it because at that point we're Good. Lol, idk. Just my thoughts
Quite beautiful. I dig that.
I cant imagine any other way to take that so grats?
That's the way I've always seen it too. Most simply, if you want God's love, you want to be a good person. But if you are truly a good person, you didn't really *need* God to tell you to be good, that kinda thing
Personally i thought of it as to earn the love of god you need to be a good person, not for god, but for yourself. So if you are a nice person for youself and not for god then the fact that you earned his love won't matter.
This was the line that hit me so hard.
"Remember, this is funny, don't take offense. That was really funny, respect" - that moment showed me all I need to know to know you're a good person.
And I felt how that last line hit you right at the end. The setup gave you that impression of "that would be a sad thing to belief" but then it's tied together by that final line and you realised where it was going. I follow a different path from yours, but it's something I think most people believe. You need to be able to give love in order to truly accept it.
As someone who has a religious brother he looked at me on the line 'i send gays to fix overpopulation' he literally sighed at me
Sighed as in "They're not wrong you know"?
Bro heard the word gay and couldn't take it 💀
The issue is the bible. It says gays are an abomination, but religion forgets that men wrote and edited the Bible and its absolutely fallible
@@coreyg3658 And it also says eating shrimp is an abomination. So being an abomination can't be all that bad.
Bo grew up very religious, and is now atheist. But personally I don't think the belief about God is the main point he's getting at, so I'm very glad you were able to separate that part and still enjoy the song. I think to me, the key points are "you shouldn't need to believe in a god to want to be a good person" and the very end "if you want love then the love has got to come from you".
Love is what the world desperately needs. And Bo may no longer believe, but it's also what the Bible says. Love thy neighbor as thyself. At the end of the day it can come from religion or it may not. But hatred is the sickness and love is the cure. I find this song incredibly uplifting and it fills me with such a spark for life. I think anyone getting caught up in his views on God is missing the larger message and should give a second listen with an open mind and open heart.
And in recent years he’s identifying as a little more agnostic than atheist. The distance from overly religious people can soften that strong opposition
@John Brown Atheism / Theism deals with belief or lack thereof. Agnosticism is regarding knowledge (actually not even specifically relevant to religion). They're not mutually exclusive terms because of that fact. This is one of the biggest misconceptions, or logical fallacies rather, people have these days it seems like.
Atheism means "lacks belief in a deity". It's what everyone is born as. It's not a "strong opposition". It's just a word that has to exist because Theism is a thing.
I think the confusion comes from thinking Atheism means "believing a god doesn't exist" as opposed to "lacks belief". "Not believing" is not the same as "believing that it's not". One introduces belief, the other lacks it. Again, it introduces confusion because we use those terms interchangeably in day to day conversation. But realistically, they're quite different.
Basically, what I'm getting at is, Agnosticism, how it is used today, is just incorrect and doesn't make logical sense. If I ask you "do you _believe_ in a god" and you answer "I don't _know_ if a god exists or not" you're answering a different question. I asked about belief, not knowledge.
So, if you respond "I don't know if a god exist or not, so I don't have an opinion.", you aren't actively believing (believe is a verb after all). You are therefor, by definition, an Atheist. Until you, potentially, figure out you want to believe that is.
@@ProxCyde true. I was using the terms as they are colloquially understood today. Atheism, in the general public’s eye, is “there is no God” while agnosticism is “is there a God?”
It’s not a perfect definition, but it’s generally understood this way.
@@XboxJohnBrown Yeah, I get that. But regardless, it's a logical fallacy. No matter what the general public thinks of it. 🤷♂️
@@ProxCyde so when i believe there is a "god" but dont see the reason why it simply existing should be reason for me to worship it, and me therefore not following any religion, I am theist?
Im glad that every religion (and atheists) can just come together to appreciate this song. Some stuff he says really hits hard-
Even as a “atheist” myself.
I've never seen any of you videos and Imma be real, I was expecting a bit of bitterness, but your laughter is so dang infectious! Thankyou for the chuckles my friend :3
What I love about UA-cam is that it allows people from completely different backgrounds to connect. And sure, sometimes that gets ugly, but sometimes it's beautiful. As someone who has suffered, even literally today, violence and discrimination form people who used their religion as a reason for their actions, I honestly do have some prejudices towards "The Religion". But watching your reaction honestly gave me a feeling of hope and understanding that we are all just humans. And that being religious in and of itself isn't a bad thing. I understand that religion provides a lot of perspective and positivity for many people, but because I often deal with some of the nasty sides of it, I closed myself off from those people. And maybe we shouldn't have to.
Whether we believe that there is something like heaven after this life, I think we should all at least make sure the time we have now is as close to that idea as possible.
Sorry for the rant. It's been a day :P
I truly appreciate your "rant" but not one at all. I am sorry that that happened today and any of the times it has happened. This flaw of us people of wanting to find moral superiority by any means necessary is quite gross, yet unfortunately seemingly impossible to eradicate.
My DMs are open any time. And your words were beautiful.
@@SebsDuran Thanks man! I appreciate you!
I'm so sorry that the bad ones are the loudest ;w; my grandma for instance is a wonderful woman IMO, but some of the stuff she says about others when we get to talking about religion... no wonder so many people think we're hateful people! I swear she loses herself when she talks about the LGBTQ+ community. The problem is that some Christians would rather use the Bible as a weapon instead of using it to spread positivity. Many Christians take parts of the Bible out of context in order to push a certain view of theirs when, in reality, the Bible probably doesn't actually say what they claim it says at all... it's mostly older Christians who already have their minds made up that certain groups of people are just damned to hell. Most of the younger ones are much more open and accepting.
@@howdoesonesocial I agree completely! I grew up as a Lutheran, so I was taught certain specific things that I couldn’t wrap my head around. My mom became a pastor later in life and she even told me about verses left out of the Bible. The church she preached at opened up to the LGBTQ and we had some members leave because of that, however, the meaning of the book is always love an acceptance. If we ever go against love and acceptance, then we’re trying to become the judge of someone and that isn’t Christian at all. Blows my mind the people that will go to church but then say hateful things about anyone as that is the opposite of what you’re taught. 👍
@@matthewzimmerman5064 Right 😭 Breaks my heart tbh.
He grew up in a religious family and he attended an all boys catholic school. You should listen to his "Rant" rap about religion as well.
The moment I saw your reaction to him saying "you're not going to heaven..." I was like wow. This guy is actually listening to this, and taking the comedy in stride. (Ha. Cause you're on a treadmill.)
But really, super great stuff that you didnt take it personally.
So many people would hear that first line and gasp so loudly youd swear one of their lungs popped.
I'm a christian and I completely agree with the "If you want love from me you gotta love me too" line.
You're my favourite kind of religious person. You're laughter is so contagious
Are you... On a treadmill? **Bo Burnham's skeptical face** Okay...
This hit different listening to you as a believer because I enjoy that perspective, I myself am not, but I still thought Bo put this whole thing perfectly without disrespecting anyone besides a few jokes. Reminds me of Hopsin Ill Mind 7 with personal religious struggles you put into a song. It was thoughtful comedy at its best and I appreciate you caught on to that immediately. This was only the second time I saw it but had to pop on to your channel to see your take once I discovered it. Great reaction. :)
I personally am a Buddhist, but most of my family is very Christian, and when I was younger I too was a Christian sort of by proxy. Now that I've found my own way from my family I disagree with them on some religious views, but your videos always help me remember how we are all human, and I just wanted to say you are an inspiration to me, someone who has his own beliefs, and is stern in them, but also respects others just as much and I think that's really beautiful. Thank You for this man have a good one 🙌🙌
Made my day, Andrew. And I’ve studied a lot of Buddhism and many of Its practices have truly enriched my life. Thanks for the comment.
With how much you seem to enjoy Bo Burnham's songs, I'm surprised you haven't also checked out Tim Minchin. I would highly recommend reacting to the songs Prejudice, The Pope Song, or Thank You God as good places to start.
Andy, never even heard of him! I feel like I've lived under a rock. Will check it out.
I also highly recommend The Fence and Some People Have It Worse Than I! And, for something that truly hits the emotions, check out White Wine In The Sun. It's essentially an atheist christmas song. Tim is absolutely incredible.
@@SebsDuran Australian comedian. Not so big as he once was... He played Friar Tuck in the latest Robin Hood adaptation, funnily enough. ;)
I have immense respect for all beliefs and religions, I will always accommodate anyone and support their beliefs, I just wish more people who DID believe would respect that I don't.
They don't need to "make me believe" or "save me from hell". I don't believe, they do, that's cool! As long as we are good people, we should all be able to coexist!
you seem like such a good person lol i love your reactions
yesss. i’m a new sub, i look forward to more bo burnham reactions.
love ur profile
I stumbled across your reaction. Honestly, isntl the beauty of the holy spirt that we can all have different understandings yet reach the same fire in our spirit? A big measure is whats in the persons heart, i personally believe, which you can see you truly have faith in you. Thanks for the fun and by no fault of your own, convincing me to get a treadmilll! lol but seriously, think ill get one after this video lol. thanks and happy 2022
your laugh is so contagious man
Personally I’m not a believer, but I just want to say that I appreciate that you can see this as comedy and not get offended. I really respect that about you! Great video, you earned a like from me!
You a real one man. Good reaction.
2nd Bo vid I've watched of you tonight. Subbed.
This was very refreshing!
He also has a song called Rant which is also about religion (rant, not Kanye rant)
Bo burnhams social commentary is honestly the reason I love him. I’m a religious person but he’s so funny like just amazing commentary on our beliefs as a society
I really love how this song is an absolute doomer vibe just to set up the most beautiful 15 seconds possible at the end. Also love how you saw all the things he was trying to say below the surface level stuff which is just meant to be funny
"Be the type of person that is worthy of God's love" is the message here.
Sorta. When you are the type of person worthy of god love, you don't need it cause you know yourself your a good person and gods opinion doesn't matter.
"MY (gods) love is the type of thing you have to earn but when you earn it you won't need it"
This was very refreshing to watch. I hope you're doing well.
I always get nervous around the line about rape, I’m worried people will get freaked out
what do you mean?
I've seen reactions where they get real nervous and seem relieved when he finishes the thought lol.
Same lol
I really don’t understand how some people misinterpret the first line “You shouldn’t abstain from rape just ‘cause you think that I want you to”, it conveys the same thought as the line following it.
@@absolutelyrandom4978 some people take the first line "you shouldn't abstain from rape" as potentially saying "it's okay to rape", but the line confirms he means "actually no"
This was great.:) please PLEASE react to his song Can't Handle This (Kanye rant.) 💜💜💜 or his song All Eyes On Me. Both phenomenal.
"If you want love then the love has got to come from you" is so profound that this song shouldn't be considered "controversial" in my opinion. It has the silly jokes but the message is very wholesome. Be the love you want to see in the world... kinda thing. Simple, doesn't need a thousand parables, etc.
Okay, been watching a lot of people react to bo lately. I was not expecting the treadmill
My favourite line is:"but no one entertains the thought that maybe god does not believe in you"
Edit:grammer
I’m on the fence about God and if he’s real or not (lots of religious trauma and such) but this song makes me feel a lot better about my doubts. It makes me feel safer that I’m still trying to find out, and seeing many people uphold the true beliefs of God such as love and acceptance gives me hope for the future ❤️
Just discovered you through Bo Burnham reactions. I just wanted to say, even as someone who is non religious, don't put yourself down as naïve. As long as your faith isn't hurting anyone else, its perfectly fine. Unfortunately a lot of people use your religion as a weapon which paints the good among you in a bad light. You seem like a good guy from what I've seen so far.
You should check out Tim Michin 'Storm' or 'Thank You God'. Also Ricy Gervias and Jim Jeffries have good thought provoking comedy.
Love that you’re not offended! Great perspective, is what you kind sir, have!
When this guy was on a treadmill it really got to me. Touched my soul
I dig it. I'm not really a believer. I'm agnostic, but I try to keep an open mind and be respectful of others. I think not getting offended over opposing view points shows maturity and a strong confidence in your beliefs, and that's cool. We should be able to hear different perspectives without taking them as personal attacks.
i respect you for one being able to laugh at this and not get upset and also..are you on a treadmill lmfaoo how tf u stay so fit xD
It's funny and all but so deep when you really process what he's saying.. "if you want love then the love has gotta come from you".. like dang.. I'm a firm believer in God, and in that I believe that love should come from within
Just like a commenter on the original video said (paraphrasing) « "But no one entertains the thought that maybe God does not believe in you" I'm an atheist and that still hurt» lol
Dude! Stand still. Im sitting here eating croutons and your making me feel lazy lol. 😂😂😂😂😂
I think there’s a lot of respect to be had to be able to watch this as a believer and enjoy it. (I’m not a believer btw). I don’t care if people are religious as long as it’s not forced on me. I love when people can have their beliefs and still have a sense of humor. Good reaction man I like your vids
As a believe in the Lord as well I would really love to hear your opinion on Rant. I personally love it bc it is unapologetic and he gets to a lot of the hypocrisy of what I see is toxic in organized religion. That’s my own personal opinion though and love to hear others outlooks on it. If it’s too much though, I understand
Church was always weird to me. "Body's a temple", right? You'd think the best connection one could have with "God" would simply be themselves, not an acoustic building.
god actually seems pretty chill in this
I'm not religious, but something I like about this song is that it hopefully speaks to people who are or aren't religious without necessarily being all that offensive because the main message being delivered is that you need to love yourself and be good in and of your own right first and foremost. The only difference for belief here should be in if there's a higher power that appreciates that or not.
Treadmill reactions is a pretty cool idea
I have never heard/seen this. Dude is brilliant AF.
I've heard believers of all kinds react to this and find it very inspiring 👍 Bo is a genius
Nah he not even funny he just shitting on religious people. He shouldn’t be a comedian.
@@memoramos4833 hey that's your opinion. In my opinion he only hates on the hypocritical religious people. You know, the ones violating human rights 🤷♂️ comedy is subjective so everyone likes different things. I appreciate your input but you don't speak for everyone. You're the first person I've heard take offense to this in that fashion and I watch religious people react to it on a weekly basis lol
@@js01141 and how is that funny?
Comedy is not subjective. Funny is funny. Ageeing with someone with the same ideology is not.
This is just a Anti religious Ted Talk
I like that your on a treadmill
He was raised in the church (i think hes a born WASP) and over the years his mother stayed practicing and after his breakdown (at about age 25) he formed a new relationship with religion and God but I haven't heard anything more specific. Thought you might appreciate the current stance some 7 or so years after this.
I don't think WASP, as he says in his song "Rant" that he was surrounded by Catholicism growing up.
@@ModernArtery you're right, he graduated on the honor roll, in the theater program and campus ministry program of st John's prep school which is a catholic school.
i laughed so hard in the first seconds seeing him on a treadmill🤣
I super appreciate your attitude! You’re seem like a really cool guy. The walking is weird tho. If it was part of a stream I might understand, but your video is less than 10 minutes. Could you just stand still for ten minutes and then continue the treadmill desk afterwards?
In a similar vein to this, I think you should react to 'A Letter from God to Man' by Dans le Sac vs Scroobius Pip.
I love that song!!!! Blast from the past
I have to say how impressed i am that you can enjoy that and not take offense and even enjoy some parts. I have a lot of respect for that.
What I like about this song is he doesn’t go to take the piss out of religion or some goofy shit - he makes you laugh then starts pulling the carpet out from you. Like funny haha but you start to feel uncomfortable as the depth of his statements begin an incline. This comedic hypothetical one god makes more sense to me than the god I see sold to me from some of the major religions - I don’t care about tedious things, I’m disappointed you needed to be told not to rape each other, you need to love each other to make being alive worth it, I wish you didn’t destroy yourselves, each other and my creation. I found the idea that we could make earth heaven really profound. Because then we don’t make an excuse for trial runs or ‘yeah well I’ll get to heaven later’ and not care about now. We could make being alive, and being gods creation, heavenly and divine on earth. But instead we are just so ugly. I think that’s a really non-discriminatory and refreshing point to make.
you pulled back at the "my love is the type of thing that you have to earn, and when you earn it you wont need it" what i think he meant with that is that you earn gods love by being a good person but if you are a good person you wont need gods love because you have the love from yourself and maybe even the love of everyone around you, it kinda ties into "if you want love then the love has got to come from you"
Can you react to bo's "Oh my god"? It's the earlier version of from god's perspective. Some things in "Oh my god" got left out of "From god's perspective", and I would really like you to see it.
Not religious at all. I just live like if everyone in the world acted like I did, the world would be OK. Much love brother, keep walking.. I would be struggling to talk and not breath into the mic xD
There is also a lot of religious imagery in his song Problematic. Maybe if you reacted you could explain some that I, or others, might miss??
I'll check it out!
Ironic and beautiful that I see so many reaction videos of people watching Bo Burham
The first time it hit le horribly, then I started to enjoy and listened to the actual message. Bo is right
I know I may not be entirely right but I don't think this song is necessarily against religion but more a criticism of people who use their beliefs to justify their hatred. Its obviously from an atheist slant but do note he does include atheists in his people who argue day and night.
please do funny feeling or all eyes on me by bo burnham please
You should do Words Words Words from Bo Burnham
Wow now that's what I call "walking"
Why is it you believe? No hate, just curious.
bestie you should react to john mulaney (if u haven’t heard his work yet)
I think that's actually my favorite thing about this, is that at the end of the day, it's not antithetical to having a sense of faith. There's a lot in here that is less "faith is dumb" and more about how a being of that magnitude probably doesn't care that much about the nitty-gritty details of our lives. Which has its own sort of beauty, I think.
Why do you think that would be a sad belief if I can ask?
I personally thought it was a great line. I feel it speaks to the message of wanting to be a good person for you as well, not solely because some book told you the way, or because of where your final resting place might be . If we are made in gods image, then when we do things that god favors, and try to earn the ray of love from him. Along the way When we get to a point to where start to feel that love, we realize that the love we are looking for and also receiving is all around us here on earth, and can radiate from us. If you love yourself and have righteous self worth, any other love you receive is just extra.
These are just my thoughts on the line. I had to rewrite this twice due to phone dying first time and I felt it was better worded the first time, but I was curious on your thoughts.
Good reaction, enjoyed the video.
This guy is so cool omg
Convenient to believe in any personal responsibility. Yes all powerful creator will love me and my people no matter how crappy we act. Yay. Now we dont need to actually worry about being better and love each other. Wooo
Not talking about any individualor their actions, its about humans and people as a whole.
I find it fun that bo is/was also a Christian! :)
God isn't the same thing for everyone, like even for me, the Christian God is way different from normal beliefs but I still believe in one. One thing doesn't matter between Gods and belief is that we have to love ourself and love the world around us
Me, to myself: This is a God fearing man, you have GOT to stop looking his chest as he works out.
Me, to myself: Okay, looks like I gotta gauge my eye out.
Bo doesnt believe that there is a deity, he says he doesnt identify as atheist but he isn't a theist, meaning a believer in one or more gods. His point in this song is that you shouldnt need religion to tell you how to live a good life, being a good person is super easy 95% of the time, heck a large portion of it is just learning to shut up when you think something negative. But humans have become a war loving people, religion has started more wars then anything else, yet almost all of them tell us to love each other. Why would a god that said over and over again to love each other, let us into his paradise, after we spit in his face over and over and twist his words so much that it leads us to killing eachother over the smallest difference. Being a good person is easy, you dont need a book written by the followers of your god telling you how to live life to get that, heck most of those stories wouldn't apply today anyway due to how the world has changed.
He seems like just a good dude. I've really enjoyed learning of this guy.
@@SebsDuran He is a good person, it sucks that Fame has did some really bad things to his mental state.
His "religion" is morality, more or less.
@@KumaChrisVT Depends on how you look at it. The mental state would have existed regardless just triggered by different things, at least with the "fame" there was constant connection and reaction of people showing him love throughout his hiatus and in a place to where he could work on himself and become better because of it. Without the fame things very well could have gone differently, detrimentally. All about perspective, ironically.
not just funny, but the truth
Respond to rant by Bo... It's the song that made me question my faith...
Imagine the world if this was the dominant way. I came to the same conclusions 50 + years ago and my moral compass is solid . If you want to honor god honor all of creation and keep your judgment to your own behavior ☮️
I'm sorry I'm a huge Bo Burnham fan and I wanted to see this guy's reaction anybody know is he always walking on a treadmill
You reacted as if the “my love’s the type of thing you have to earn” wasn’t 100% factual. You have to follow all of gods “rules” to actually earn his love and place in heaven.
Other than that small note. Great vid. Keep pushin man!
That's inaccurate
@@ericb9252 no, it’s not. It’s pretty clear. Even if you hit me with you can always ask for forgiveness that’s still a “rule” you’d have to follow. Asking for forgiveness. So, I mean take it how you want.
Idk if any has pointed this out to you yet, but the line about eating pork was for the Muslims too
You might like Bo’s Catholic Rant
Why is he walking?
Dude is literally turning yellow from laughing yellow ...
I’m an agnostic who was raised in a Christian family. People think if you don’t believe in God, you have animosity towards those who do, which is just not true. I very much hope the Bible and its god are real, cause people I love put their faith in that, and I want them to be happy and fulfilled. And outside the politics of religion, I find many teachings from all religions to be positive… Mr. Rogers, one of my life long heroes, was a minister who created a Christian message for a secular audience, cause, as Bo explains here, being “godly” is the same as being objectively good.
Hey can you listen to the earlier version of this song, called oh my god? It has much better points
Long after this when Bo actually said "Some animal rights activists have gotten mad at me for implying that God would be okay with eating pork and honestly I have no rebuttal, good one."
Are you on a treadmil?
Hahahahaha!!! Look at me not getting butthurt hahahaha😂😂😂...
When the NPC is bugged:
My love’s type of thing you have to earn and when you earn it, you don’t need it.
If you have been a good enough person to earn gods love, then you don’t need his help in life or afterlife. And you don’t need a church in order to do it.
I don´t believe in god...but I don´t blame anyone who believes in any kind of god. I am a bit confused by the walking on the treadmill...but your reaction was awesome. You obviously had a good laugh and fun with the video. I think you are a quite open minded believer!
to not be a lazy fuk
As a Catholic, I've always thought that the line "maybe life on earth could be heaven, doesn't just the thought of it make it worth a try?" Always spoke to me. For any religious people who found this offensive, or thought Bo was making fun of people who believe in God, he's not. He's just saying that people shouldn't waste their life being overly devoted, not that there's anything wrong with that, and they should just love people here and now, and show kindness to others not because it'll get you into heaven but because it's the right thing to do, and it's what we should all strive to do.
Bo's whole point is to just be nice to people!
