More like a back street drug pusher than a Disney villain, I think. So welcoming at first, then calm and friendly, reminiscing...and only after letting you know that you've been addicted since you were a kid do we see the vicious sneer throughout the final reprise, when there's no longer a need to pretend to be Mr. Nice Guy.
“This is incredible.” MY DUDE YOU HAVE NO IDEA. He is nominated for 6 Emmy’s because of this special alone. He filmed, wrote and edited it all on his own. From one room. With all practical lighting - no effects. His brilliance is limitless.
I am truly impressed with how quickly you identified this as a villain's anthem, the song hadn't even begun to get truly villainous. You, sir, are very astute.
Oh yeah, this is definetly a disney villain song. It has all the charisma and confidence we expect from Disney villains, and the whole "evil carnival man" vibe he has going makes it all the better. I can definetly see the hero entering a room or a tent, and the man forcibly sits the protagonist in a chair and starts singing with like a Power Point presentation, Friends On The Other Side style. And I love it.
If you like when comics can balance comedy and realness, you NEED to see more of Bo. He’s your guy. He’s one of the most clever, creative, and overall talented comedians there is. Insane wordplay, and brilliant dark humor.
You laughed at "a nine year-old who died", but my heart kicked because if you're really on the Internet, you *will* at some point see violent imagery you never asked for. I've seen things that made me lay in bed for literally 2 days, sick to the stomach. This reaction really shows that this song hits particularly hard if you're a millenial. The internet definitely feels like an abusive relationship to me. It's a second parent who constantly shocks and angers you but also gives you comfort and answers to your questions, who saw you grow up and who you can't imagine leaving. The slower verse can be both your parents or the Internet talking to you. It's just genius. It's also genius how the song is catchy and fun at first then both his voice and the lyrics because deeper, darker: that's how the Internet is.
Do all eyes on me first so you understand his mental state when you go to cant handle this... bc that was his last show and the end of him doing stand up
By 9:00 I was concerned that you had missed the menacing message Bo was trying to send through this song...and then you set the goal to decrease your screen time (phew, crisis averted).
Bo Burnham is the ultimate truth dropper in his work ... He tells jokes, but he then hits you with reality when you least expect it. Edit: He is the villain (The Internet) Also, the stars in the background represent the vastness of the internet. Then he shows the light when talking about the kid using the ipad when only two. Then he combines the internet with the kid's lights to show that he has won and the kid is now just like all of us.... We are part of the internet world.
My first watch of your channel because it's a Bo Burnham Reaction (pronounced Burnum), and this is only one bit from his 1.5hr special Inside on Netflix - he created/wrote/sang/filmed/edited yadda yadda yadda in one room at his home during the pandemic, solo. Bo is a self-aware musical comedian with much deeper meanings; the man is a genius who can make you laugh, then introspect, and cry all in one song; they are not all just for fun. FYI Bo started on UA-cam at age 16, was the youngest to get a Comedy Central contract at age 18, and did one-man-shows (in order: Words Words Words, What, Make Happy (burned out, quit) - then returned 5 years later at age 30 with Inside (his 'All Eyes on Me' explains what happened).
i remember how shocked i was when i watched inside for the first time, just expected another show focused mostly on comedy like the previous 2, with maybe a couple songs that hit hard. what i didnt expect was for almost every song and scene in the whole special to cut 10 inches deep lmao. not complaining at all tho, it's by far my favourite of the 3 shows and that's saying a LOT with how brilliant they were on their own. i love inside so so much, ive been listening to the songs on repeat to try and figure out every bit of them and just because theyre all REALLY good songs-
I don't know if you noticed but almost every word symbolizes something and what I mean is that when he says just shake and nod your head it's talking about whatever you do or say somehow appears to be recommended to you without you saying anything.
So sorry to hear about your brother, man. Glad this tune could take you to a joyful place. Burnham's got plenty of other great work to dive into, and I wish you and your family the best. Much love from Minnesota.
Now I want to see you power walk through the entire special. It's worth doing before you react to anything else by itself. The thing was designed to be consumed together and it's incredible, in hindsight this isn't even a strong point.
If you like comedians that can get real and can go insanely deep Bo Burnham is perfect for you. Every song he does is funny with a deep and emotional spin.
out of the many reacts I have watched this is the best, think it was the walking or the natural reactions the entire Netflix special is worth the watch!!!
You’re fabulous, I love when I see people “get” Bo’s humor. Also your laugh is incredibly contagious, I’m tryin not to wake my kids laughing with you hahaha
a good way to get a reality check.. for me at last.. was an app on my smartphone that told me daily how much time i wasted on my phone doing what.... its surprisingly much more than you think it will be.
Absolutely love this reaction really hope you will keep reacting to bo burnham. He is absolutely brilliant and I know you would appreciate all of it. From the same special pls react to white woman instagram.
Loved your reaction and that you understood and laughed at every line that made me laugh lol! Some reactors tend to not understand or miss out on lines. Subbed and will definitely be sticking around and I really hope you will react to lots more bo burnham cuz that guy is a generational great, a once in a lifetime kind of genius. His specials are what., make happy and inside and welcome to the internet is from Inside. All the specials are stunning
The inability to cope with boredom. So true that its hard to accept. Vsauce has a video on why boredom is one of the things that makes humans great, you should check it out. It argues why you should embrace boredom.
Every year you should do a comparison video. Like, your first video, and your most recent video how you looked and how your daily treadmill has physically changed your body, how you feel mentally, maybe what has improved like your stamina, balance, diet etc. I just think it would be super interesting plus very helpful for you as well!
And now you listen to Disturbeds cover od "Sound of Silence" and you have a complete package... But make sure to listen to the live show at Conan. Even if David Dreiman had the flue whit high fever that day
You should react to a swedish hip-hop group called 'Latin Kings'. There a second generation chilenians. Start whith the song "Fint väder(Nice wheather)"
Treadmill while reacting? That shit’s genius, nice thinking!
Is this bra walking?
5 seconds into the video, i had this same thought. Fuckin genius.
An even better idea would be to increase the speed with the tempo of the song
@@magnuswiesener9588 he would literally die (especially with his laughing)

Best comment I've seen about this song is that he turned the internet into a Disney villain
Very accurate xdd

Not to mention he did this after taking a VERY long hiatus from performing and touring due to heavy anxiety. What a comeback.
I am truly impressed with how quickly you identified this as a villain's anthem, the song hadn't even begun to get truly villainous. You, sir, are very astute.
that treadmill straight kicks everything up 5 gears. word dude
Watching the surprise slide backward was the best part each time.
The second he said "I'm religious"... I want him to react to 'From God's Perspective'. Hehe.

@mcrafter_ I mean, not alive but not dead
All comedians deal with realness. It's just a matter of what parts of reality you want to explore, then finding a comedian that explores those parts.
You laughed at "a nine year-old who died", but my heart kicked because if you're really on the Internet, you *will* at some point see violent imagery you never asked for. I've seen things that made me lay in bed for literally 2 days, sick to the stomach.

Going back to We Think We Know You now is heartbreaking.

truly unsettling and dark at the end
Bo Burnham is the MF Doom of comedy. He’s an evil villain, but he is so goddamn delightfully whimsical.
Boredom is a crime is the same as creativity is a crime
