It's kinda cute how Mimi is Engineer's daughter in a way, but people tend to forget that Mimi is still a mf sentry at the end of the day. Seeing her kick ass is refreshing as that's what she is meant to do. Her having a father-daughter with Engie is the cherry on top

The creator of the model made other girl models for other source games, obiusly because that guy likes girls and want anime girl from Valve games. But i will still believe he did not want the Mimi Sentry idea to be "Engineer creates a robot girl for sexual sadifaction", still creating to model for himself and because he likes those cute girls, but giving her a normal story qnd not something like that
I love that the engineer at first is just building from scrap out of necessity to create the first Mimi-sentry. It's only after the fight that he put actual consideration into the designs and perfected them.
Despite the visceral reaction this character tends to get from a large segment of the community, it's clear a lot of effort and care went into this animation. Really awesome job.

Yeah, but doesn't make sense gameplay wise. The breaking of the gun just means one of her guns is disabled. The crits should only apply when a sentry is fully destroyed. Besides, when getting that crit, shouldn't Engie be worried instead of elated since him getting a crit would mean Mimi got a kill and then died. Plus, if breaking a gun does trigger a crit charge, shouldn't cyborg Heavy breaking her other gun charge another crit? If so, that'll fucking break the game if the inclusion of Mimi Sentry with a Gunslinger Engie isn't enough already.
I HATE how the fandom ruins Mimi most of the time, but this is just perfect for her. I absolutely love the father-daughter relationship engie and his sentries have too. They make my heart go AAAAAAAAA (affectionately)

The struggles as an Engineer main, now alleviated with Mimi Sentry. Besides the design looking unironically good, one thing I really like about these animations is how they always pair Engie and her up with Engie’s main counters (Soldier, Demoman, Heavy, and Spy especially) just to show what they can both do against them in comparison to Engie’s main toolkit. And let me tell you, it’s CATHARTIC to see as an Engie main myself.
Heavy counters engie? I thought medic would be more of a counter due to uber especially due to heavy actually dealing less damage to sentries with his minigun than other's.

I forgot to mention this when i found this but this was my first mimi sentry video i watched and i have to say my expectations was blown away. The characters, the animation and even the post credit scene was great. This was a helluva introduction to the robot girl rabbit hole that i also joined soon after. The potential these girls bring to animation is seeminly limitless and i cant wait for more. Also i thought it was cute how giddy mimi/senthia got when she found out she has a little brother(dell spencer)

At 6:30, the only explanation as to why Engie is so late is probably because Spy got to him on the back and has to wait to respawn. And Engie has to go from the back just so he can save Mimi Sentry in time before Spy got to her. The hallways on where Engie was at the timestamp wasn't that long so Engie could've gotten there before Heavy is even dead.
Another amazing animation of Mimi that actually gives her justice in her brutal combat war machine side while still maintaining her father and daughter relationship with the Engineer. Spectacular job TheHypedScoot! And also a shoutout to Izumi Ch. for giving Mimi justice as well!
I always felt Mimi was a product of Engineer coping with loosing his only daughter to a home invader while he was away on a mission. After seeing Grey Mann's machines, the Idea came to him to combine his turrets weapons and targeting systems with the mobility of the machines. He would try to make a new daughter, one that could protect herself should he not be there to defend her. Medic, being concerned with Engineer's well being, confronted him at one point during her construction Medic: This won't bring her back. Engineer: I know, but I just want to feel something again.....
The way you described this reminds me of astro boy. A scientist losing his son and attempting to rebuild him as a robot was the basic premise of that story too.
Such a marvelous creation Engie. Good work. Ps. that was the most wholesome thing Ive ever seen. This situation was probably what got him into thinking other buildings would be more useful as people, rather then stationary objects.
Engie making his own robot children actually fits, engie has always kinda been like a father so making his own robot kids fits the character quite a lot.
Well, the scene at 1:50 when Engie started laughing maniacally had me thinking about that scene in the old Frankenstein movie (1931) when the doctor yelled, "It's alive. It's alive! IT'S ALIVE!"
I think Mimi sentry got so over saturated as a meme that people forgot that engineer building a killer robot daughter is actually a cool concept. Glad to see someone finally do it justice.
I think the thing I love the most about this are the subtle references to other SFM creators. I can tell that crash maul is a big inspiration for your animation style, and I absolutely love it!
ARIA's theme fits Mimi so well. Also, it's so nice to see a lengthy, quality animation without Mimi-Sentry just steamrolling the enemy team. Well, yes, she's steamrolling them, but not without difficulty. And resulting fight scenes are so good!

this feels like a winglet animation, everyone has that proper animated theatrical flair to their movement in all the right ways its so enjoyable to watch, and the random shots of them just walking around with live recorded gameplay in sfm and only ingame animations feels almost surreal EDIT: oh god i liked the ending when i thought he was rebuilding the mini sentry and upgrading it to a level 1, but then it looks more like its his kid when we walk outside and see the lvl 3 that feels portrayed as his wife and its all lost on me
Idk if it’s just a design problem but I would like to think the teleporter twins would have hover boards as their teleporter part and when deployed they just step off em and make ‘em spin on the floor. That way you have a speedy lil teleporter bot that zips on a hoverboard across the map to bring bots and mercs alike to the frontlines. Also ngl this is the best representation of mimi in-canon.

Leaving behind the image that Mimi-Sentry has in the community. The animation is pretty good and acceptable, the lighting is good, the impresions were good, nice references found (Which are few) and I liked the cover of the video, it looks great and it's pretty obvious that. In other words, Good job mate!
Even with all of the expected spattered blood & scattered body parts that come with a TF2 video, the interactions between Mimi & Engie are just so wholesome & sweet.
Her little smile, it's beautiful, that sinister smile, of the killer machine, it melts right through your eyes, it feels like a drill, drilling you with the fear, of the robot, that can kill you in any second That speed, it makes her a real menace to the Blu team, a real Cold Steel fighter, that Engineer loves and defends like his own daughter, it's wholseome, I love it The animation, it's very well-made and very, VERY BEAUTIFUL That's the spirit of a real TF2 fan
It'd be a cool side grade. Imagine a sentry bot that patrols an area and knows to seek cover when being shot at out of range and can be directed to go places with the wrangler. I imagine the downside would be overall firepower, slow repair speed, inability to destroy, and the inconsistent placement of the bot.
I was late to Mimi's band wagon and I regret that. She's absolutely adorable. It's amazing how much emotion you can convey with a few beeps. She can't talk but she doesn't need to, and I'm here for it

Let the design of an adult Mimi look not very good, compared to the usual version, but the animation is just a masterpiece, 10 minutes of beautiful staging, smooth movements and cool moments. I want more!
The funny thing is that Engineer had it coming from a mile away at 3:21. While yes, Mimi is capable of holding her own against a Heavy without just dodging like Scout, Engineer had no good reason to make Mimi Sentry look the way she did, especially since Engineer is probably the least likely Class to even know what anime is. (The most likely anime enjoyer is Pyro without a doubt)

Yeah, but doesn't make sense gameplay wise. The breaking of the gun just means one of her guns is disabled. The crits should only apply when a sentry is fully destroyed. Besides, when getting that crit, shouldn't Engie be worried instead of elated since him getting a crit would mean Mimi got a kill and then died. Plus, if breaking a gun does trigger a crit charge, shouldn't cyborg Heavy breaking her other gun charge another crit? If so, that'll fucking break the game if the inclusion of Mimi Sentry with a Gunslinger Engie isn't enough already.

The struggles as an Engineer main, now alleviated with Mimi Sentry.
Besides the design looking unironically good, one thing I really like about these animations is how they always pair Engie and her up with Engie’s main counters (Soldier, Demoman, Heavy, and Spy especially) just to show what they can both do against them in comparison to Engie’s main toolkit. And let me tell you, it’s CATHARTIC to see as an Engie main myself.
Heavy counters engie? I thought medic would be more of a counter due to uber especially due to heavy actually dealing less damage to sentries with his minigun than other's.

I forgot to mention this when i found this but this was my first mimi sentry video i watched and i have to say my expectations was blown away. The characters, the animation and even the post credit scene was great. This was a helluva introduction to the robot girl rabbit hole that i also joined soon after. The potential these girls bring to animation is seeminly limitless and i cant wait for more. Also i thought it was cute how giddy mimi/senthia got when she found out she has a little brother(dell spencer)
As someone who always treated my Sentry like my own son I must admit that this animation is something I goddamn love .

aside from the brutal, merciless, killing machine of war, it's very wholesome how Engie and his Sentries are like father and daughters to each other
This Heavily reminded me of the old SFM animations but like a remaster. I guess it hit home but this is a work of art.

At 6:30, the only explanation as to why Engie is so late is probably because Spy got to him on the back and has to wait to respawn. And Engie has to go from the back just so he can save Mimi Sentry in time before Spy got to her. The hallways on where Engie was at the timestamp wasn't that long so Engie could've gotten there before Heavy is even dead.
Another amazing animation of Mimi that actually gives her justice in her brutal combat war machine side while still maintaining her father and daughter relationship with the Engineer.

I always felt Mimi was a product of Engineer coping with loosing his only daughter to a home invader while he was away on a mission. After seeing Grey Mann's machines, the Idea came to him to combine his turrets weapons and targeting systems with the mobility of the machines. He would try to make a new daughter, one that could protect herself should he not be there to defend her. Medic, being concerned with Engineer's well being, confronted him at one point during her construction
Medic: This won't bring her back.
Engineer: I know, but I just want to feel something again.....
The way you described this reminds me of astro boy. A scientist losing his son and attempting to rebuild him as a robot was the basic premise of that story too.

Engie making his own robot children actually fits, engie has always kinda been like a father so making his own robot kids fits the character quite a lot.
I love the Level 3 Mimi model at the end. More mature, but still has that destructive energy she had during the fight.

I think Mimi sentry got so over saturated as a meme that people forgot that engineer building a killer robot daughter is actually a cool concept. Glad to see someone finally do it justice.
I think the thing I love the most about this are the subtle references to other SFM creators. I can tell that crash maul is a big inspiration for your animation style, and I absolutely love it!

this feels like a winglet animation, everyone has that proper animated theatrical flair to their movement in all the right ways its so enjoyable to watch, and the random shots of them just walking around with live recorded gameplay in sfm and only ingame animations feels almost surreal
EDIT: oh god i liked the ending when i thought he was rebuilding the mini sentry and upgrading it to a level 1, but then it looks more like its his kid when we walk outside and see the lvl 3 that feels portrayed as his wife and its all lost on me

Idk if it’s just a design problem but I would like to think the teleporter twins would have hover boards as their teleporter part and when deployed they just step off em and make ‘em spin on the floor. That way you have a speedy lil teleporter bot that zips on a hoverboard across the map to bring bots and mercs alike to the frontlines.
Also ngl this is the best representation of mimi in-canon.
I designed my Teleporter Twins being that they themsleves are the Teleporters, they would go through a transformation process to function.

You know in an acual tf2 match a bipedal/mobile sentry would be the absolutely amazing/terrifying depending on what team you're on.
It'd be a cool side grade.
Imagine a sentry bot that patrols an area and knows to seek cover when being shot at out of range and can be directed to go places with the wrangler.
I imagine the downside would be overall firepower, slow repair speed, inability to destroy, and the inconsistent placement of the bot.
I imagine that it'd be confined to an area to patrol, maybe engie could set places to go back and forth while building
For all intents are purposes they're basically an assault rifle class, and that itself is scary enough.

The funny thing is that Engineer had it coming from a mile away at 3:21. While yes, Mimi is capable of holding her own against a Heavy without just dodging like Scout, Engineer had no good reason to make Mimi Sentry look the way she did, especially since Engineer is probably the least likely Class to even know what anime is. (The most likely anime enjoyer is Pyro without a doubt)
