People who compare this thing's durability (which is okay in my book btw) to those made out of carbon fiber should look at Kevlar vs. a polyester suit. One's good for stopping bullets while the other is for attending a pool party (I don't know I don't own a polyester suit). Either way, different purpose, different form. Good crash test!
You cant compare things that are made for completly different things, you are compareing live saving clothes with swimming clothes. You only can compare things that are made for the same use, like paper-plastic-cloth bags you use after shoppingto get the food to your house, or plastic knife vs little metal knife because both is made for cut your steak. But you cant compare that plastic knife with a samurai sword. Dji is made for freestyle, so you can compare it with other freestyle drones.

What sparked like that??) ! I was astounded when I picked up the drone that nothing appeared broken and barely a scratch. I was nervous to even try and turn it on until After watching this video I have faith it may still operate. This one will be super interesting because an FPV drone is more prone to crashing compared to DJI's other UAVs. That insta-stop system they have looks legit though!
This was not only entertaining but actually informative. What I would love to see are several crashes on grass and into tree branches because this will be a realistic scenario for many.

The FPV is a great drone, they engineered the drone with a ballistic shell to prevent crash damage. I love it. Purchasing a bunch of replacement propellers over a whole new drone is worth it
Very entertaining video. Nice work. That said, you got lucky. Bardwell broke an arm after a much less severe looking crash, and a few other reviewers also broke these things already. I think it survived because it hit canopy first instead of striking an arm first. This drone IS going to break a lot easier than a typical FPV drone, and when it does you are not going to fix it yourself.
Not sure what you're looking at, but this man flew the thing into tree branches at full speed AND crashed it into a concrete column at full speed as well. And not only did it hit the column, it bounced OFF the column to take another impact upon hitting the ground!! And when it hit the ground, I'm pretty sure the CANOPY didn't save it like you claim it did when it hit the column. So just admit this thing is more DURABLE than what ppl. realize!
Two of my DJI fpv's broke within two weeks each time. On my third now. Before ya'll comment on my piloting skills, it was the software that malfunctioned each time causing the drone to fly full throttle without input when loosing signals.
lmfao @ bad boy well you are half right, it's crap lol but for you camera platform guys i am sure you think it's great. As a fpv quad it's a total joke, like their fpv tank, just my opinion
I'm just here to see how strong it is, I also want to know if it will go into return to home while in fpv, if you lose signal. If I'm flying under something,I don't want that to happen
While I appreciate the video, I think it is pretty misleading. I understand that this isn't a true FPV freestyle drone, but people won't be flying it 7 mph into a wall. DJI advertises it as a fast and easy-to-fly drone. Yes, those are both true, but I fear that many people will enable acro and have no idea what they're doing and give FPV a bad rap. The barrier to entry is so high for FPV that if you didn't know what you were doing your drone would never work in the first place. The DJI FPV makes it way easier to fly FPV. I understand how this is good to some, but it's like giving a 5-year-old a mustang without first teaching him/her how to drive. We'll see what ends up happening, but many FPV pilots are worried.
Agreed. But If imma drop $1300 on a new drone I’m not just about to go fly acro all willy nilly, they have the practice mode that simulates the drone controls for practice.

Yeah its britle as, seen a few broken already in light crashes. I feel you're just misleading people for sales, its not a true fpv freestyle drone in any way. Just a fast mavic that can sort of acro as well as a quad from 2017-18, 2021 quads fly sooo much better than this
@@WeTalkUAV Whaaat now? Yes a bit misleading, water damage usually occurs after a few days, especially if you leave battery on the drone while wet xD , I would never trust that battery again. People don't understand that the soldering pads and the electronic components in the circuit boards PCB´s all that get corroded and "cooked" by the electricity (electrolysis). And it normally take some time to show the damage. The crash tests are much more useful to assess the durability. Only if you would do some follow up on that drone, on how it behave after this would be a complete test. Do a week by week followup and cover how the camera and the rest is working , then this would be legit.
@@-meganeura I second this, but I also think that the crash they preformed was overhyped. It looked to only be going a fraction of the speed that most people will be crashing it at.
@@-meganeura if you go and dry it afterward there should be no permanent damage so the test is somewhat relevant it didn't react at the moment in any negative way
I think there is still some data missing to judge the durability. But what's for sure is that a drone with a one-axis gimbal cannot replace a Mavic for cinematography.
Every time you guys do one of these videos I can't help but to think of Sid vs the toys in Toy Story 1. The drones must all go hide when a new model shows up. hah Well done!

Awesome crash test as usual, thanks a lot for these very valuable videos nobody else dare to do ! 👏
thank u buddy
got to say im surprised about the water test
were you born yesterday? All drones can handle that "test"
@@SAFbikes no they can’t. You must have been born yesterday.
Well that's it ....im going to get one ...thanks dude 👍👍
Yeah its britle as, seen a few broken already in light crashes. I feel you're just misleading people for sales, its not a true fpv freestyle drone in any way. Just a fast mavic that can sort of acro as well as a quad from 2017-18, 2021 quads fly sooo much better than this
i am misleading? this drone is not made for fpv pilots. maybe you are one.
Only Dji and Dyson able to survive such an epic test 😂
This is why you should buy a DJI!!! 💪💪💪🖐🖐🖐
#DRONE LIFE MATTERS 😂
11:24 - It wets itself as it knows what's coming........... 💧💧
Every time you guys do one of these videos I can't help but to think of Sid vs the toys in Toy Story 1. The drones must all go hide when a new model shows up. hah Well done!
hahahha very good one!
🤯✌🏻
how has this not got any replies?. Your a very popular youtuber haha
I love these crash tests
Hit the the concrete post with an arm, that's where FPV are often vulnerable, and where we expect this drone to be even more so. Great video, cheers.
"We pretty much crashed everything!" 😂😂😂
You can bin it for all I care, this drone will be remembered as the most dangerous and will be lots of bad press because novices will think they can fly it between every gaps....this drone will end the hobbyist
we'll see!
@@tecwzrd The barrier to entry is so high for FPV that if you didn't know what you were doing your drone would never work in the first place. The DJI FPV makes it way easier to fly FPV. I understand how this is good to some, but it's like giving a 5-year-old a mustang without first teaching him/her how to drive. We'll see what ends up happening, but many FPV pilots are worried.
This guy will solely be responsible for machines turning on us one day...😅
Can't have a new drone released without a torture test from you
You are crazy guys🤣🤣👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks, great test! It is time to purchase one!
Thank you BRO , instant buy !!! arrival today !!!
