In your review of mirrors you recommended a “ Hafny E13 Approved E-Bike Mirror, Large Surface Bar End Bike Mirror” and after purchasing the mirror for my new Radexpand 5, it did not fit the handle bar, spent over an hour shaving it and sanding down to fit, I thought it was just a slight sanding but not so.
i purchased a suntour suspension seatpost 4 years ago.i haven't done any work on it or cleaned it but i have recently bought a cover for it and to this day it still functions perfectly.great for the price £65 im from the uk
Do you have a video that shows which bike is best for a certain accessory? For example: which bike will allow me to mount a rear basket lengthwise and not widthwise.
Hi Just out of curiosity can the large basket from Rad Power be made installed on the rear rack of the Expand 5 without turning the sideways? I have the small basket installed currently but want to switch it out for the larger basket. I want to keep the same orientation as the small basket. Thanks Bob
Hi Ryan, Bob and Donna from Prince Edward Island, Canada. We enjoy your videos, very informative so thanks for that. We just purchased the radexpand5 for each of us..we are loving them! Just wondering, out of the saddles you recommended can they be used with the stock seat post? Nice neon jacket by the way. 👍 thanks
Ideally, you do the rear wheel and the frame to the bike rack and then have a separate lock for the front wheel. Whether you have enough slack with the Bordo to do so is another question. Sometimes these frames are tricky. You may also want to consider the motion alarm.
An question - Which foldable electric bike, I should buy? Purpose of buying electric bike is practicality, travel in public transport + bike or carry in the car. I am from Europe, Rad Expand 5 is now available but if you can help me to decide, will be of great help.
Do you need to buy the Ergon grips or similar in order to attach the Hafny mirror shown in your video or will it work with the existing grips that came with the bike. I'm waiting for mine to ship so I can't check out to see if this would work.
Hi there! I wish to carry my miniature schnauzer dog at the front of the bike. Rad does not recommend this however do you have a fix for this please???
Thanks for video. 1 thing people need to remember is once you start adding g bigger accessories, the bike gets bigger when folded. Pretty sure bike can fit in a 55 gallon storage bin when folded.
My toggle to keep the bike latch from unlatching was put in by the company upside down so I had to take it off and put it in correctly and the spring inside broke...ive called the company several times to get the part Chloe said she found d the part at the Brooklyn store I waited nothing I called again to be told its on backorder...im chasing a part that I'm never being g told when I'll get the part just keep getting a ring around
Hi Chelsea - Yes! I forgot to include our infamous tote we use for folding ebikes. Check out our full RadExpand review where I share what we've been using. It's towards the end of the walkaround. Thanks for watching!
With limited space, I will need a folding bike. I also have a 4 year old so I need a child seat. Is there any child seat that is compatible with this bike? Thanks.
Hi Dan, I can't say for certain but I imagine the challenge is going to be the same. There just isn't enough space to avoid clipping the feet of the child or the childseat itself. You'd need something with a rack that isn't so low. Maybe the Espin Nesta? Or possibly a different ebike like the Aventon Sinch with a 3rd party rack. Not sure exactly. You could ask on the Rad owners forum too: radowners.com
Very good informative video, the one I never knew existed was the auto tire inflator . Never saw that before. My main concern is bike security. Several hundred are stolen here every month and the police are not interested in your reporting of the theft.
Depends where you live. I did multiple interviews with someone from Kryptonite. Generally, I like the name brands, Kryptonite, ABUS. Even the Foldylocks are decent. Go with a high quality chain lock or folding lock if at all possible. We plan to do share more on locks in the future.
I asked during the unboxing if the rims were different and you said no. However as the weeks go by they sure look different to me. Wider, ridged shape instead of convex and the spokes are farther apart. You gotta take off a tire and see if RAD snuck in single wall instead of double wall construction like they should be.
Want to wheel your folded RadExpand 5 into your house or an apartment in a container to keep the floors clean? A Craftsman X-Large 50 Gal. Storage Container CMXXPBP50GTW, Lowe's Item #835743 is just the right size.
I like your bike and extras . I would like it if you would put a phone number to get an order in.. I would like to know if your company does any financing as well.Thank you for all the information.

Are you sure you didn't forget to remove the outside piece for narrower handlebars?

Does the Thule Yepp Maxi Rack mounted child seat fit on this Radexpand 5 ?
Technically yes but it's not recommended by Rad. The problem is your feet come in contact with the seat much easier.

Yes they can!
Can you show how to lock this bike specifically? I got the abus bordo 110cm folding lock but I’m not sure what else would work???

What size is the seat post hole, and does suntour sell a 450 mm seat post length ?
Should be 27.2 but verify!

@@EbikeEscape Thank you so much for your quick reply. Love that mirror so I may have to upgrade the grips...
Great video 👌🏼

Can a kids seat fit on the back of this bike?
No they can't
Does anyone know a replacement Front Suspension Front Forks to replace the stock rigid forks?
Enjoy your videos. If you were to buy an ebike would you choose a Iectric 2.0 or a rad expand 5 .
I Ryan
I from Canada they have here the rad expend with a 500watts
In US red offer the too
Do you think it’s made a big difference ?
Thanks for video. 1 thing people need to remember is once you start adding g bigger accessories, the bike gets bigger when folded. Pretty sure bike can fit in a 55 gallon storage bin when folded.
Yes exactly! I fold it into a storage bin in our full review.
@@EbikeEscape which review is that? I'm currently looking for a bin.
I am surprised you did not include the optional lcd display in this review

I already ordered the bike I was wondering how to know what size grips to get since they come in large and small?
Hi Finn, the sizes are actually how large the grip is so both will work. Likely if you have larger hands you'd prefer the larger ones.
Great video! Do you have any recommendations for bags/cases to carry the bike?
Hi Chelsea - Yes! I forgot to include our infamous tote we use for folding ebikes. Check out our full RadExpand review where I share what we've been using. It's towards the end of the walkaround. Thanks for watching!

Where do you mount a LOCK on a Rad Expand 5???
I mounted one to the side of the rear basket. I think you could also mount one behind the seat post, where the battery is usually located. -JT

Does your Rad discount code work in Canada?
Have you tried installing the LCD display upgrade
Does this come with a bottle water holder
It does not.
Great bike and seller.
Is this the same size as the Rad mini, which it replaces?
Extremely similar - the dimensions are on their site if you want to really dig in and compare.
is there a bike lock you recommend?

Agreed

Hi Tina, you'll have to check Rad's website for financing options (link in description).
why will you spend $1500 for ebike no LCD display no front suspension.
It would be nice if they included the LCD screen.
Too much going on now on the handlebars. I just like the minimal look. A mirror maybe but nothing else.
