I am a life long Atlanta bread dude and I'm a 17 year MARTA Driver and I grew up riding these buses with Mr. Dumas and by the way he is still here driving coming up on 50 years.
When I watch a Flxible Metro B ADB transit bus on You Tube I like to pretend that I'm riding on the 505 line from Atlantic City to Longport or to Ocean City Transportation center
Any particular reason the coach front doors are left open whilst the vehicle is in motion? If this were Cincinnati Metro they'd lose their heads over that (and for good reason)
That bus has been retired for a number of years parked at the Southeastern Railway Museum things don’t work as good as it used too MARTA used the historical fleet at the APTA expo excursion a few years ago
Well on a normal circumstances that ain’t happening in revenue service MARTA would pull it out of service with the quickness or will not the yard in that condition
@@tjbrown07 good, good. Good to know that's at least kept straight no matter where I go But I'll ask this: why is it always the school buses that can keep the doors open when crossing tracks but transit and other coaches have to keep the doors shut when crossing (but can open them like 15-50' before the tracks)
I remember riding the Metro Bs with the same V92 Detroit Diesels as this Flxible going to college in Cleveland the mid 90s. Music to my ears!

Larry Dorsey that’s amazing!
I get the impression most of MARTA's drivers enjoy their job. The bus system here is really pleasant to ride on.
Jefferson Transit had these buses in Jeffferson Parish in 1984 and the Grummann version in 1982.
That bus sounds soooo good! 😌
Sound just like CTA's 1991 Flx Metros 5300s
They sure do, I got nostalgia listening it, that’s my whole childhood.
Houston Metro had these buses in 1985 .
When did Houston retired their Metros and RTS?
I love the ones in the 3000,3400
Reminds me of North County Transit District's Flxible Metro-Bs
Thats the first marta bus driver

Ocean City as on the 507 line from NJ transit corporation and operations inc.
You can even take the Flexible bus in Shanghai, China, in 1990s
Exactly the same type!

@@tjbrown07 gotcha, like I said you try that shit at Cincinnati Metro your trainer would be going crazy seriously

Ex AMA San Juan 870's (Ex New York City Transit) with blue seats

@@tjbrown07 im talking about the bus driver driving it
I guess you didn’t understand my reply apparently he has 50 years of service at MARTA no he’s has not retired yet FYI
@@tjbrown07 ohhhhh ok my apologies 🤣 I just remember it being posted on a lot of websites and stuff
It's Mr Dumas
imagine being rude
Same sound as the RTS and MCI classics
