Thanks for the tips! Desert is our family favorite too but we are struggling to get the win on Jungle. Still fun even though we have died all the different ways 😂😂
I like this one. It gives a vibes of Forbidden Desert. Due to the fact that aliens are moving randomly based on a cards it gives an impression that they are mindless creatures. It feels like they do not have inteligence as probably they should chase players to eliminate them being so close to them on next tile. Instead they just walk away in different direction. My assumption is that we are intruders on their planet. Another thought I have is that manipulation of a webs is quite unhandy as they are lying on two tiles and when it comes to flip a tile it is quite of a work. Overall I like it 😀
the board wouldn't take up significantly more space if you simply left a gap between the tiles bigg enough to let the webs lie direclty on the table i reckon :)
How does this play with 2 players? It seemed almost impossible with Island as we wound up playing 2 characters each player. Don’t recall Desert having that problem and not sure about Sky.
Looks interesting! Our family loved both Forbidden Island and Desert, but have yet to try Forbidden Sky due to the generally unfavorable reviews... however this alien moon theme and some of the mechanics really remind me a lot of some scenarios/planets in Unsettled (one of my favorite games of all time!), all mashed together... so I wonder if it's going to be too similar to own both?
well this is a much more streamlined and fast playing game. you could get 3 sessions of FJ in the same space of time as 1 of Unsettled. So i think it serves a different purpose in a collection :)
OMG,this game looks so fun, esp with your intro. Is there any way to get a copy in US in the coming week? My family is taking a tour in CA and it would be nice to get this as a souvenir, thanks!
I much prefer the Forbidden Jungle's Theme than any other Forbidden game. Thats why i dont like Pandemic (yes, i know, you love it), to me the theme is boring. A few house rules (to lower the swingyness, and randomness) will make Forbidden Jungle a good game for me.
i know the dice tower folks said it's random and swingy, but fyi they were totally wrong (and iirc it was pointed out they played the game wrong based on their discussions). if something sideswipes you in FJ, it's because you weren't paying attention :)

What weight would you give this game in your opinion?
a bit lighter than pandemic :)

we didn't have a problem with that at all. in fact, we had to crank the difficulty up a bit to get a channel at 2p :)
This game is great to play with two players!
