I’m sorry but Liz was there for one reason, a rebound, someone for Jason to let his emotions and hidden anger out, and the only reason that Jason stayed with Liz is pretty obvious, it was indeed because she had his child and that’s literally it. Again he will always have love for Liz but in the end Sam is and always will be Jason’s one ☝️ and only true love, his soulmate, Sam and Jason are one of a kind they are literally like 2 bodies and souls that formed into 1. Sam was one of them, but Ric was accosting Liz on the docks and Jason got upset. he wanted to go after Ric when Ric went after Liz on the stand, but Sonny had to talk him down. He tried warning Liz about what Ric was doing to her during their marriage. He proposed 3 times...2 out of obligation, the 3rd out of love. He told Sam he'd kill her if she went after Liz or her kids and he never said that to Liz. I'm not saying he didn't love Sam, but he also loved Elizabeth.
