I get what you're doing, and i do that right now. But sometimes all people really need is a simple app lock without partitioning a dedicated storage space for secure folder. And if people really want to ask why is a particular app locked, we'd just tell them to mind their own business.
how it works is similar to parallel space, making a copy of the main application, the weakness is that it will increase the internal capacity, I hope Samsung has a personal application lock feature like IOS
@@DjangoGroenthat's the beauty of Android: having the freedom to do what you want with your phone. I would never discourage the availability of different features because of my limited imagination or because I personally don't use something.
@@DjangoGroenthat's the beauty of Android: being able to do what you want with your phone. I would never discourage the availability of new features because of my limited imagination or because I don't personally use something.
@@DjangoGroen So you are saying that if i have to handover my phone to you for some work but i dont want you to see my socials and messeges, then i have to use them in secure folder?😂😂😂if thats the case then why not carry a laptop?sometimes i wonder do people even know the word 'efficiency'
Am not some spy to need a secure folder, i just need app lock so I can lock important apps and be calm when I give my phone to a stranger or someone i don't want to have full access
The security folder function is also good. However, it is quite inconvenient to use, and instead of providing a separate space with a security folder, I think it would be better to change the name to a security service and provide various security-related services such as App Lock function.
App lock is simple, better and convenient. Secured folder.... not so much. There is a reasons apps like whatsapp provide the feature inbuilt. And as you said doubling up of app is absurd. Clone app feature is already there if someone wants to do that. So, app lock is really basic and imp. feature which should be there. No excuses, ifs and buts
cool stuff but the word "simple" does not fit. people just want a simple stuff where tap to enable the app lock. thats why most of people dont use that because it's not simple.
Secure folder is good, but not as convenient as an app lock. Let's say I have my UA-cam in the secure folder, then I have to have my other apps in the secure folder to be able to share something from UA-cam to other platforms. It just won't work, if the other apps are outside of the secure folder. Because an app inside the secure folder can only share with apps within the secure folder.
Yes you can definitely share within the secure folder, but the app you are sharing the stuff to needs to be in the secure folder. Let's say you have your gallery in the secure folder, but not your WhatsApp, then you'll not be able to share images to WhatsApp. @2078smith
Ok, so now go ahead and do one thing. Start using WhatsApp normally Move it to secure folder and start using it there, do not move the photos from gallery, only the app Use for a while Then move it back from secure folder Got it how stupid that sounds??? I just want to lock my whatsapp for a week and i have to go through all this hasaale. Lucky for me whatsapp has an inbuilt app lock. Its very stupid of you to say you don't need applock. I know what i need, a lot of people need it, every other brand has it. Its simple to implement. Samsung should do it instead of throwing excuses.
I would like to lock the Samsung Messages app. Wouldn't it be more convenient to have an app lock instead of moving it to a secure folder? Every time I receive a message or OTP, I have to access the secure folder, which makes it less secure. I am not sure if I will get the message notification if the message app is moved to secure folder.
Question. Secure folder is amazing I do agree, my question is, if you decide to no longer use secure folder, what happens to the items that you place in secure folder. Are they automatically deleted? Or did thosw items go back to the other original folder.
It's ok if you don't get it, and thats fine. But that shouldn't be used as an excuse to say NOBODY ELSE needs it. like come on..... Like others here already pointed out, sometimes we don't all need that extra complication or features. Just add an option for apps to app lock which would mean either pin/fingerprint/face to unlock. It's that simple. Yes you could do more and hide it even exist. But for some of us, we don't care if someone sees the app there. As long as it has a lock on it requiring say a finger print to unlock. Take realme for example, they have an applock. I'm not saying samsung has to remove secure folder. Keep it. But give the option for us to use app lock for those who prefer that instead. It's not a hard ask is it?
So, if you add your gallery, do you now have two galleries? Like do new pictures show up in both? Can you have an app that just appears in Secure Folder, but not in the main part of the phone?
As shown in the video, nothing will be in the gallery unless you add it, so if you take a picture outside of secure folder it will not go in it unless you add it there. Yes you can have an app that just appears in secure folder and not on the main phone
Es que carpeta segura sirve para algo completamente diferente quizas quieras tener todas tus fotos fuera de miradas indiscretas y no vas aquerer estar moviendo todos alla todo el tiempo
sry daniel but this is bullshit i need to lock my gallery my file mangers and settings and i want them to be in sight so secure folder is not for me i need app lock ps: remember some of us have rooted phones that secure folder wont work
Why do you need a ROOTED PHONE unless ya got a cheapie that can't do anything like PISS ALL needing Root ,Rom, Mods and Launchers...dont even have a native alarm!!!
Secure Folder is one of my favorite features of my Z Fold6. It's just one more reason I think the Samsung software is far superior than any other foldable phone.
Hey, sammobile : all user need applock not secure folder, for example , you just tell me how to lock settings icon from security folder, I want to anyone use mine device but don't change any settings,
Secure folder needs its own environment, no? If your app connects with Google Drive, you'd need to log into the Google Drive app *that exists only within the secure folder*.. A hassle
not same thing applock use application in my first profile with my data and all other stuff scure folder use all my app I used separate like I have another phone samsung don't listen this stupid reviewer please we need applock and secure folder in same time
😊😊😊 stop the showing us secure folder 📁. We all know about secure folder , But app lock and secure folder is not same, secure folder is a completely different mechanism and different from the main device, we want to lock our main device app, you see that all comment the consumer what's need

Ugh, enough of excuses, we need this simple app locking feature😢.
No we dont!!! Really stupid when you can rename folders and hide them...Too many Crybabies
its literally app lock bro what else do u want
Useless🤣🤣🤣
how it works is similar to parallel space, making a copy of the main application, the weakness is that it will increase the internal capacity, I hope Samsung has a personal application lock feature like IOS
I have been using secure folder for my work apps since very long, but it cannot be used as simple app lock.
We need an APPLOCK app
Worthless
i use secure folder, but i still want app lock.
I HATE secure folder. It's not the same thing as app lock.
Samsung users need app lock, secure folder and app lock serves 2 totally different purpose
Why not have both? App Lock and Secure Folder do different things. It's really not that complicated.
No again Separate App lock is stupid
Extra options are always great. But I just don’t see any use case. I prefer the way in this video

It's just a private space with more features not an app lock. app lock is different

@DENVEROUTDOORMAN nahh separate app locks are good. I sometimes run 2 instanc of the same app using different accounts.
Secure folder is not the feature we want 😢, we want app lock

Waahhh...you can have app in both and share
You can also share stuff within the secure folders with others. I share & send things from my secure folder to friends.
no, u can share to app outside the lock folder. You just need to click in "more apps"
Yes you can definitely share within the secure folder, but the app you are sharing the stuff to needs to be in the secure folder. Let's say you have your gallery in the secure folder, but not your WhatsApp, then you'll not be able to share images to WhatsApp. @2078smith

Samsung we need applock BUTTON LIKE THIS COMMENT
Banking Apps do not work in secure folder . Unable to register the app
wrong
want proof?
Secure folder makes sense for somethings, but not for everything. Sometimes I only need a basic lock, not an entire sandbox environment.
Samsung should relaunch their s-secure app again
Applock only!
No app lock is not secure folder😤
App lock is also needed. Secure folder doesn't replace that

Nope stop crying...You don't need and Secure Folder easy and fast

You can read comments to know why we want app lock
Thanks, I have used secure folder for a long time and I love it. Big fan of your videos!
on s24 ultra i use downloaded app lock on some apps including secure folder :D :D
It's mandatory an Applock that's it
It's only actuve nax 30 minutes and can't be extended to your liking... I bought a Samsung for customization to my liking.
This is pointless,, i never use it!🤣🤣
secure folder is of the one reason im not buying any other android phone
I want to add my checkbook app. But the associated data can't be transfed when added. it would be easier for an app lock
Nope why if it's secure do you need to duplicate...then doesn't need an app lock
Secure Folder is one of my favorite features of my Z Fold6. It's just one more reason I think the Samsung software is far superior than any other foldable phone.
Bro, we need it. app lock in galaxy devices😊

Separate files is also really annoying. I get why it's useful in 10% of cases but 90% of the time it's annoying af
Nope still not needed
@@bprabawabrnope it's not annoying
not same thing applock use application in my first profile with my data and all other stuff
scure folder use all my app I used separate like I have another phone

But in Samsung A 13 4g and 5g with no secure folder so what we can do
Get a more expensive phone...Not for cheapies
i used all day !! Nice Video
How can I transfer the secure folder to a new Samsung Galaxy phone? Thank you for the information.
Smart Switch
Great but how do we do lock settings as easily as this?

When will the A54 get One UI 7.0 Android 15 😢
Cheapie Phones get last...gotta wait your turn. And NO ONE KNOWS..when it's ready ...STOP ASKING
Love secure folder❤
And when apple got us the app lock everyone was like: it’s for cheaters blah blah blah. Then why is nobody complaining about this?😭
Amazing video, always wanted to use this.
I'm using secure folder since existed.
