Lions fan here. LOVED and i repeat LOVED the onside kick with 12:00 remaining the more i think about it! What happens if we kick it deep and they push down the field? Answer is game’s over too much time eaten plus bills score a FG or TD. It’s not just make the one stop it’s make the one stop or game’s pretty much out of reach GG Now we take the onside kick. At worst? What actually happened they score TD we get ball back with plenty of time to potentially come back (which we almost did btw). I haven’t even mentioned them possibly getting the onside kick that COMPLETELY turns the game around. In the end, all Campbell did was decide if the offense or defense was more equipped to make this comeback possible. I’ll end with this. You’re down 10 points in the 4th quarter against an offense that you can’t stop from scoring no matter how hard you try BUT with a defense you can exploit. What would you do? If you’re like the rest of the internet you could punt and see what happens as you’re injured and tired defense must make a stop or the game’s over. I mean nobody would blame you it’s what any other coach would’ve done. Dan Campbell isn’t just any other coach. At that moment? Even though you’re gonna get FLAMED if it doesn’t work? At the end of the day the head coach’s job is to give your team the best chance of winning, that’s exactly what he did Hat’s off to you Dan. I’m a full believer and can’t wait to see us make a super bowl run Go Lions 🦁
Our defense sucked this game. We know that. Our offense sccored 42pts and lost anyway. Credit to the Bills. They are a tricky team. They got us this time. We're not worried in Detroit. This was a rest game for us. Would've been nicce to win, but hey, credit to the Bills they're pretty good. They sccored 48. (We kinda gave them at least seven of those, though). And, both teams shanked field goals. Three points on each side left of the field. Wild game. Lets Go Lions!!!
Pretty tacky take to act like this wasn't an important game for the lions. You guys don't have the 1st seed locked up and you needed this win against the bills. Just as the lions defense is riddled with injuries, so is the bills' defensive secondary. Campbell got out coached and Allen had all the right answers at the right time. Goff had a career day and the lions offense once again proved they were no joke. Give the bills the flowers they deserve and don't be a sore loser

I’m not sure why this is, but it seems every Lions fan wants the Bills to win the SB if they don’t and every Bills fan wants the Lions to win if they don’t.
Both of these teams dont have any defense, they wont make it far. Seems like whoever scores 40 first wins. And whoever drops passes that cause the team to punt looses
Honestly, I love the onside kick call! With the way both sides were scoring, it was best not to give Buffalo more time. Worst case scenario, you go down and score, you’re back at square one.
Campbell figured the Bills only needed one play to go from the 30 to the 50. He didn’t count on a runback if the offside kick to the 5. He figured worse case Bills start on the 50. Most importantly to him, he wanted to keep possession of the ball and score twice in a row. He knew the Bills were basically unstoppable so he took a risk. As a Bills fan I’m happy he did, but it could have worked out a different way.
They couldnt stop buffalo. You said that after giving up the touchdown from an onside kick they kicked it off cuz it was the better decision but they gave up a touchdown again right after that was negated by a penalty so they ended up with a fg. The bills punted once all game. In reality they had no chance of winning if they kept going back and forth. Dan made an aggressive call and it backfired it happens, doesn’t take away from his greatness as a coach rn

They weren’t stopping them and he had no confidence at all in his defense…. Usually the on side kick doesn’t get returned to the 5 yard line. This is how cambell has always coached… no issue with the decision at all
The Lions usually win when they score first. Not only did that not happen but they started treading with a not strong defense.
