Chen stuffs Tackett's signature pass to north-south multiple times by reactively blocking his legs from walking around the outside. Not his first rodeo.
@@radoslavtodorov6923 Tacket won the ADCC LA Open against Chen a while ago. This is more recent. I think if this two fight there's always a 50/50 chance of going both ways.
crazy shit. he looked like he was going to be swept any moment there. looks super wonky at first glance but he's just a magician with the tripod style pass

Seems to depend what you read as I’ve read he started in august 2018 making it five years, either way still insanely impressive but 5 at least seems a bit more realistic 🤷♂️
Makes me not feel so bad getting choked by this kid when he was an orange belt and I was blue belt. Took it easy because I outweighed him by a good 50kg or more. He freaking got my back and strangled me before I knew what happened. Glad to see he is doing so well and is a young phenom.
Add on to that the self seeking to be good is better then how long you been doing it. They traveling to train at top gyms. And seeking knowledge from the best in the world. He works with Craig jones.
Its not hours....its the method and layout they are using. Of course training everyday helps but its not just that. We will see this in about 2 years take over. The crazy technical approach of training with drilling lots of reps will be going away soon...There are about 5 top teams right now doing this type of training. Basically sorta centered around positional training with less to more resistance...With different rules and games. All of us old guys who came up under they way of "drill it a thousand times to get it" basically got screwed. Another method similar to this you will see is a one like the Standard Jiujitsu team guys are using...It is all concept and ecological approach. Those cats are progressing CRAZY fast. Some of those guys are not even a couple of years in and already competing against bteam and new wave guys. Alot coming down the pipe in the next couple of years guys on training methods...
Incredible match. Even more incredible is two subtle and touching displays of sportsmanship by Chen. First at 1:59 when asked to bring his knee in, he does so immediately and without hesitation even as the ref was telling him, "Naw, you're good." Second at 4:08, the whole sequence from the kneebar afterwards, checking in again and again on Andrew - you can just tell that he's truly sorry he hurt him.
The whole belt thing has become pretty meaningless unless you’re an elite competitor. Hobbyists (most of us), even the black belt ones, are zero challenge for professional jiujitsu athletes.
ive literally been waiting for this match for months. im happy they went for it instead of letting ego get in the way of posting the match. THANK YOU SO MUCH OSS

After watching Tackett manhandling Nicky Ryan and Eoghan O'Flanagan at CJI, you can appreciate how good Chen really is.

Just because there's a match of them where Andrew loses doesn't mean there wasn't a match where he tapped Jozef
@@radoslavtodorov6923 Tacket won the ADCC LA Open against Chen a while ago. This is more recent. I think if this two fight there's always a 50/50 chance of going both ways.
More impressive is how fast Josef's hair grew
Literally cant get enough of watching Jozef, so entertaining. Props to both of them for keeping that pace
Was a great match for sure
crazy shit. he looked like he was going to be swept any moment there. looks super wonky at first glance but he's just a magician with the tripod style pass
Jozef is so technical most of his coaching is just “NIce” “nice”
That’s all I heard lmao😂😂
Chen beating Tackett? Mind freaking blown, wish I saw more from Chen in the recent Quintent, very impressed with these 2 youngin's
He just did Euro Trials. Dude is a freaking wizard.
Jozef (3.5yrs of training) vs. Andrew (12yrs of training). Pretty impressive to see what someone can do when they work hard.

Yeah apparently he learns incredibly quick. I never take chances with orange belts lol
@@nickkim41 it was no gi so I had no clue what he rank was.

Had the same thing happen to me with a young guy at our school. Give anyone an opening and they’re likely willing to do something with it!
That's such a cool story!
Jozef always seems so humble and nice. Glad to see him doing so well.
Match maker for this one deserves his flowers as the kids say
I’ve been doing jits since 2005 and it baffles me how good these young guys are getting.
its all about hours on the mat. we've probably put in the same hours as you in your 18 years.
Cause they train everyday

yea hes very mature for his age
thats what travelling the world solo at age 17 doing seminar's will do to you
yeah, I noticed the first one and found it really inspiring.
Chen has always been a class act every match I've seen him in. A technical wizard at the same time.
I'm becoming a big fan, he's great for the sport.
These guys are light years ahead of what black belts used to be.

Two of the best up and comers. Both best style
Craig Jones is an awesome teacher. Jozef is an awesome student.
True but Chen was a weapon pre-B team
Excellent triangle choke defence from Josef Chen at the beginning
That was top lock
2:31 is an amazing entry then @ 4:00 he does it again and tackett is ready but he adapts as well. Very cool.
Been watching everything I can of Jozef since ADCC trials wow
This match really showcases, how talented Jozef Chen really is!
This is the future of sports.
Tackett cardio is crazy good. Chen was swimming underwater
Damn that was so hyperextended
The pass to mount at 1:05 is actually mind blowing
He had it for 1 second then lost it lol
Never even held the position 😂
Both ... awesome.
Real real bad
That leg popped real bad
BRUTAL. no time to tap
wow whats the record between these 2, i know tacket beat him at a adcc open or something, so i only know 1 -1
homie was stealing bjj fanatics outside of the firewall and coming after all the instructors now.
And he's only been learning 3-4 years?! Wow!
He's just a freak who the fuck can get that good with 3-4 years of training, even training 3x a day with best training partners is impressive asf
when did this match happen? Jozef looks different from when he fought at AIGA
April of 2022
So weird to see Nicky Ryan inside of RGA!
That knee bar make me cringe so hard yikers
i get that its competition, but he could have attacked the kneebar ever so slightly slower to give a bit more time to tap. Jozef is awesome though
Strange Tackett putting himself in a dangerous leg lock twice, as if he was alright with it
와 둘다 진짜 잘하네❤
Both of the boys are absolute killers. Very impressive.
When did this originally take place?
Very impressive.
every time you hear nice, take a shot
Was this their second match?
omg that pop!
I know
Is that Nicky Ryan coaching in the background ?
yes sir
Jochen nasty with the sub!!
Chen is just on lock
Jozef grew his hair quick
That knee bar looked painful!
I believe the children are our future....teach them well and watch them beat your ass.
Jozef Chen lookin like a young Rory MacDonald 😂 #RedKing
the same tackett who beat rosimar ? lmao
God I heard the knee pop, Tackett let that go a little too long. No shame in tapping early to avoid injury.
His leg was overextended, his knew will never be the same again.
it will heal
man jozef looks fucking unsweepable
studs
That shit bent
