  • Five flights today. One landing that was a repeat of yesterdays and then one later that a pretty bouncy .... otherwise it was a very good day. This plane is challenging me a lot ,,, but I intent to master it.

    It's hard

I have one still on order as they have not yet arrived in Australia but considering the issues many people have been having with them, I am not sure that I still want it anymore..

I was having the same struggles with mine using Wes's throw settings. I went back to the book deflections for flaps with no elevator mix. And once I'm down I do not use up elevator to slow down, I use the thrust reverse to slow down once on the ground. I had mine jump right back up trying to use up elevator to slow on rollout. great flying you'll sort it out.

    Cool flight though

    It's a very beautiful place!

I come in on full flaps 25% throttle and no more than 10° no up and make sure that the mains touch first no elevator compensation for flaps either. I also took the springs out of the mains and the nose gear and replaced it with fuel tubing made such a big difference.

If the winds already coming down the runaway, I don't think you need flaps as its already slowing you down and you have a long runway. (And, the veteran fliers at my field taught me to land w/o using flaps). I think you need to come in with a little bit of power (say 10-15%) all the way till the mains touch down and balance the speed with your flare as you come down.

What a place to fly at. Wow!

  • @eqrc7587

Some Pilots are not putting the elevator mix in with flaps. Beautiful jet 👍🏻✌🏻🖖🏻

  • @andystoybox1723

Reduce some landing flap deflection , looks like it is slowing it down to much … i have the 80mm version and it glides right in with a little power ..

  • @braddarnell2498

I think less flap deflection or no flaps for landing. To get to desired landing speed it is floating back up due to to much lift. Less flaps and land with some throttle.

  • @fern6978

You either need to land with more power consistently or less flap deflection if you're not going to fly it in properly. Either or...

  • @garyrussell7076

Just dont land till v2 or v3 is out

  • @rcpilotwill

Good flying but you're coming in with to much power for a twin 64mm. Also how much expo you using on the elevator seems like you need more. I usually use take-off flaps on the down leg and lower the power about 40 to 50. Bank into base level off nose slightly down power cut turn on final. Full flaps if needed nose slightly down and bring back enough power to control the descend about 8 to 10 feet to the ground slightly lift the nose with a lower power adjusting as needed set her down. Keep at it you can master it.👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾

Yeah you need to make sure the elevator compensation to.flaps is balanced so that you can hold an angle of attack and adjust altitude and glide slope with throttle. You need to fly some circuits with full flaps and enougb throttle to sustain flight, see if you're having to pull or push elevator while doing this. Ideally you can be almost hands off on the elevator and just using throttle to go up or down. I'd you're having to hold elevator, your tendency will always be too fast or too slow. Get it so it doesn't require much if any elevator input. Second landing was too fast. You're close but you need to fly circuits and adjust the elevator to flap compensation.

U use down elevator when your down

  • @DronemanJoeRc

Hey bud you need to set your camera to atleast 1080hd and idk what you did with the landing but what receiver are you using? and you dont have two gyros on do you? with the gyro on the f14 installed and your receiver gyro? idk? Im just trying to help you and give advice and the camera needs to be on atleast 1080 to give a more clearer view

  • @speedtwin5t

I think the plane needs speed brakes not flaps to slow it down.

Be much nicer if you had a camera man with zoom. Watching the sky with a dot isn't much to watch. But landings look good.
