This is about her childhood. She went into the recording studio and in 20 minutes had this song written ..
The little girl is Pink. It's the child inside her that went through the experiences and that still struggles.
1000% im favour of splitting for the welfare of the kid. This isn't voiced enough. You did the right thing, mate. My mum and dad split and it took time but thank F it didn't last even longer.
Btw: I'm 28 and I've never had a rift with my dad. He lives in the states now and me and my two older siblings still just have a chatty phone call with him at least once a week
Pinks vocal talent is UNPARALLELED she is a true master of TALENT and not needing machines to enhance her voice.
Every artist had pitch correction (autotune) some use less, some use more. Record labels dont want an imperfect records. Pink uses very little
@@darkshadowstorm7056I dont think auto tune is bad, and already know she doesn't lip sync. Its interesting to hear of an artist without autotune considering most labels wont sell products that aren't perfect. But to be fair, P!nk has always defied their wishes.
Don’t ever apologize for “rambling.” That’s the point of a reaction video, to express how the song makes you feel and how you interpret and relate to it.
And thank you for putting your daughter first. It’s the thing I hate my ex husband for the most. After cheating, financially screwing me, involving our sons in his affair, I hate him the most for never putting the best interest of our sons first.
To this day, he baits me and tries to cause drama, and it’s been over 7 years. It hurts our sons the most, and I hate him for it.
I'm a year late commenting this but I just wanted to say as a child of two parents who went through a situation very much the same as yours, my mom always put my sister and I first when our dad left and I appreciate her so much for doing that. So thank you for being that support and that amazing parent for your sons.
I have a new found love for you after watching this reaction video and hearing you talk about your situation 🙌🏼🫶🏼
The little girl is her...hence the identical clothes.
7:52
The little girl represents P!nk’s “demons” with her family being torn apart when she was a kid. She keeps pushing it away and not dealing with it, ignoring it, bottling it up, and it keeps poking at her and taunting her and she’s trying not to acknowledge that childhood trauma. It’s very poetic.
I never thought of the little girl as her demons... I have always just seen her as representing herself as a child & how helpless she felt back then to stop the things happening to her life
"when you have a kid, sometimes you have to put your feelings aside and do what best for your kid and not whats best for you" man if the world had more people like you it would be a better place
I saw an interview where Pink's Mom looked at her after hearing this song and told her "I think I owe you a HUGE apology for how you grew up."
Wow that's amazing
More P!NK, please. She’s quite amazing.
Quite no she is amazing 💕💕
This was definitely my life growing up. My parents "stayed together for the kids" and it was a living hell for everyone. I blasted this song on my radio so many times they finally got the hint and divorced when i was 17. My last year of highschool was the least stressful and quite year of my life.
The emotion this little girl shows in her face is unreal! She does a great job and always makes me emotional!
Damn, I’m blowin you up... 🤣🙏
Pink writes her own music (for the most part, collaborations and whatnot) and this song just FLOORED her mother. She had no idea.
That little girl is a good actress.
You’re a good dad to prioritize your little lady. Too many don’t.
this one hits me so hard every time. i love pink. shes got some strong songs
I made my mom listen to this when it came out, and told her I was determined to not let her and my dad do this to me. Damn if they didn't try, but I was a hard child.
Please react to Kelley Clarkson's live proformance of "Peice by Peice" at the American Idol Finale!!!
Man this song hits hard. It's a shame that there aren't more people reacting to P!NK , imo one of the most underrated artists.
It would mean a lot if you did a reaction to P!nk - Sober it's my favorite song of hers
I myself married young and divorced. It took a while but my ex and I have a good/decent relationship. #1 priority SHOULD be any kids involved. Unfortunately I have seen way too many women use the kids as bargaining chips. It's not their problem if you don't like each other or if they're not paying child support. They'll remember you keeping them from the other parent or speaking ill if the other parent. Always remember they still love your ex even when you don't.
Bridget Summerfield well said.
Pink is my absolute favorite! She is the kind of artist young girls should look up too!
Pink has the greatest voices that I've ever heard. So much emotion and hurt in her voice. Not to mention absolutely gorgeous.
Yay!!! I just love P!nk so so much. She's my favorite female vocalist. Ever since I was a kid. She is just so talented and pure. She doesn't follow what everyone else is doing. She never changed who she was to " fit" in with these main stream artists. So glad you liked it. You should do more of her songs. She has many deep ones, just like this one.
Plz react to "don't let me get me" by P!nk
Like I've said before, the best thing you can do for your daughter is to have a good relationship with her mother. Pink is the best. So many Pink songs you should react to. Perfect for one.
As someone who had divorced parents this song really struck a chord with me when it first came out.
That was my life. Later I got a great dad . He was the man who stepped up to be my dad .
Kids think if they are really good their parents will be proud and stay .
It was rough -but I got my hero .
You see?! THIS is why your channel is AH👏MAZ👏ING.
You HAVE TO WATCH Pink’s 2010 Grammy performance of Glitter in the Air. You will never forget it.
Simply put UNFORGETTABLE.........GOTTA REACT TO THIS BILLY.
I agree that performance is amazing.Billy definitely needs to react to it
Best performance ever!
That is an amazing performance!
The way she lands at the end is crazy. How tf is it so perfect?
Grew up in a broken house like that and kept feeling like It was my fault my family was broken. Still dealing with suppressed issues, but doing better than I was then.
Growing up i used to lay in bed, put my headphones in, blast this song and cried my eyes out til i couldnt anymore. Pink had some real songs back then that really hit close to home for me
This song right here speaks to me because of the dysfunction of my family during my childhood...
Crystal Rogers This was my family growing up as well.
@@AC-gb7do I think there are more of us than anyone could ever know because like in Pink's song the portrait looked pretty perfect to everyone else. It was the chaos and disaster that nobody saw, or pretended not to see that caused so much pain in our childhoods. As an adult I can never figure out how people could just turn away from the obvious anguish that was always on mine and my siblings faces. I could never just abandon a child to fend for themselves in that kind of chaos. I hope things are better for you now, I am in therapy myself, it's a daily struggle but I'll get there.
Crystal Rogers I appreciate the reply, therapy does help. Been there, still doing that AND got electro convulsive therapy 3x a week for a month, twice.
I think kids get so good at internalizing their emotions, pretending to be who they should be in front of family/friends that even when the pain was obvious, it gets overlooked by family/teachers etc as run of the mill “kids will be kids” nonsense. (At least in my case)
The only thing my stepdad taught me was how to do the opposite of what he did.
Same here...
At one point, when I was around thirteen, it got so bad, I asked my parents if they could please get divorced, to put me out of their misery.
They did...ten years later. 🙄
@@misskitty0100 I hate that, you hear so many people say they stayed together for their children, but the truth is most of the time it's doing more damage than a divorce ever could.
This is her childhood story. She said she showed the song to her parents and it made her dad cry because he didn’t realize what she was going through growing up and he felt guilty for putting her through that but she grew stronger because of it
I was 19 when my parent's divorced and this song still hit me.
Pink is vastly underrated imo. She has grown and changed as a artist over they years. Most of her songs are very powerful messages that she trys to spread. If you want to check out her song So what. It was written at a time her and her husband where going through a divorce but not too long afterwards they both dropped the divorce and are still married to this day. Also a bit of a laugh about so what video. They brought in actors to play her husband Corey Hart she said nah I'll get Corey to play himself the director didn't believe her till he was there the next day.
One of Pinks best songs in my opinion
MAD respect to you with handling your divorce civilly before your daughter and being so in tune with that, at a young age too.
Keep fighting the good fight. 🖤🙌
Please react more to Pink! She is one of my all time favorite artists! New or old content she’s amazing. If I could afford to see anyone live it would be her
As a kid I used to listen to this song and cry almost every night. It gave me healing, felt less alone❤
My parents got divorced when I was 11… I have 1 older sister and 2 younger sisters… this song has hit me in the heart so hard.. my dad was a scary aggressive man.. my mum is a hippie such a positive person in life.. my dad broke our family and now my younger sisters have turned into such angry women… we are 30 now… thank you for watching this and thank you for speaking out….
YOU KNOW PINK'S MY FAV SINGER FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!!! THIS SONG IS JUST THE BEST FOREVER IN MY HEART!! THIS IS SO MY LIFE LIKE EVERYDAY OMGAAAAD THANK U BRO FOR UR REACTION
I keep returning to this reaction.. ❤️
as a child of divorce, this song has always deeply resonated with me. the "family portrait" breakdown still gives me chills to this day. and P!nk's vocals are always spectacular of course. loved your reaction, as always.
That was my story when my kids where younger and listening to this song always makes me cry cause it word for word happened to me and my kids.😢😢😢😢
When this song came out Pinks mother talked about how this isn’t true and couldn’t believe her daughter would make a song about them. How do you sing with such emotion and feel her pain that her experience wasn’t true. I saw pink live and she is one talented woman!
P!nks music is her life and it's wonderful to go on the music journey of her growing up.
I love how you're so versatile and not strictly country/rap. Pink back then was not who she wanted to be, keeping that in mind she still killed all her damn tracks. All song legends. My personal fave from her back then is Dear Diary, please get into that one! Family Portrait is so good, so raw & real!
Pink is one of the FEW current 21st century artists I adore (also Drake ❤️of course❤️ Adele 🎶 and Gaga🔥).
I have so much respect for her. You should search”Pink bio” and learn about the lady.
She sings live without auto-tune. And her concerts are EPIC. She’s a bad ass chick.
this song literally came out right when my parents were divorcing when i was a kid so i listened to this whole album on repeat
You need to check out Pink's version of Me & Bobbie McGee. She does Janice Joplin proud. Also check out I have seen the rain a duet she does with her Vietnam veteran dad. Awesome on both songs
This use to be my song! So many memories of listening to this song on repeat. I love pink! She is a legend!
Please react to Pink's Dear Mr. president, There You Go and Perfect
angelica newton it’s fucking Perfect
angelica newton not a fan of her song “dear Mr. President”. Why didn’t she make a song of this when Obama was president? She obviously a democrat. She hates freedom & wants our country to turn into a poop hole. MAGA!!!
Maggie Red 🙄
Good song picks 🙂
Maggie Red lol! .. calm down
"This one", my friend
is a MASTERPIECE
Only seen the thumbnail and I wanna cry.
Please react to Pink Just Give Me A Reason! So happy to finally see a Pink reaction! She is seriously amazing!!!!
You need to love your children more than you hate your ex/partner. That's the entire point of the song.
Look back at the beginning, that little girl has a healing black eye. I don't remember my family being happy, but I do remember wishing it when I was little.
Nobody does pain better then Pink! She my fav thanks for reviewing her.
BILLY UUUUU RRRRR THAAAAA BESSSSTTTTTTTT THAAANKKK UUUUU FOR WHO U RR
You need to react to more of Pink's songs. They are all about this good. I especially recommend Just like fire and Walk Me Home
I met my father for the first time at 12 or 13 in a Target movie aisle so yeah I get it the broken family thing and of my family i.e. brothers and sisters all half siblings I was the only one in his hospital room when he passed.
I still cry to this song
I’m so glad it hit Billy in the feels. Me too Billy, me too.
I absolutely can. It’s hard to listen to, but I’m obsessed with P!NK, so….🥺
25 years since I saw my parents in the same room ...this song sends me back to 4 year old me 😪 right in the feels
Thank you for being so open. 🙏✌
You should react to "Who Knew" by P!nk
Let just say this is Pink’s story and not mine but it still having a daughter it has always brought me to tears to know what kids go through. So grateful my husband and I have always gave my daughter a very happy childhood. I took my daughter and my niece to see Pink in concert not thinking about this song. My neices parents are divorced and when Pink started singing this song I looked over and watched my 15 year old niece in tears. Broke my damn heart.
I'm almost 30 years old and my parents have never been a happy couple, they split when I was 12 and it still sucks... This song came out right in the middle of the worst years between them and I listened to this song so much at that time, that now whenever I hear it, like on the radio or in a store or when watching this video I immediately start crying... I can't help it. This was almost word for word my family situation. Even when you know their not right for each other you still wants your parents together... it hurts when you have to accept it'll never be that way.
One of my favorite songs by Pink along with Conversations with my 13 year old self.
Pink sadly is one of the most underrated performers. Her lyrics are so personal and yet so familiar to most people. Love her and your reactions.
I'm gonna make an odd suggestion.
Lindsay Lohan - Confessions of a Broken Heart (Daughter to Father).
A lot of people might give her shit, but this song is proof she has talent. It also explains a lot about why she's turned out like she did.
100% agreed!
1,000% agree
This is Pink’s singing about her own story. I didn’t come from a broken home or my daughter has never had to deal with that. Her dad and I are still together after 25 years but this song makes me feel so much for those that have gone or going through this.
Everytime you talk about yourself like that, just with the way you generally believe, you're gonna make your entire female fan base fall in love 🤣🤣💜
The deepest song ever written 🔥🔥😢😢😢😢😔😔
This makes me sob. Every time. Its so close to the words I did not have , growing up.
This was about 10 yrs of my life in my teen years and early 20’s. I would blare this song on my stereo trying to get through to my parents.
I would love for you to react to what I think is one of her most beautiful songs 'Nobody Knows'. Its such a beautiful song yet I don't recall ever hearing it on the actual radio...and have NEVER figured out why!
Billy, the reason you do the best reaction's is because you give so much of yourself. God bless man.
This song makes me cry...even during this reaction video. I left my kid's dad when they were still babies because the fighting was already affecting them. This song reminds me I was completely justified because no child or children deserve to live in a warzone. I'm married to my best friend now and we never fight. I'm proud of anyone including YOU mister who had the strength and bravery to walk away 💕
This is one of the few songs that makes me cry every time I hear it
Ty Billy, today's that anniversary again, today as in Feb 11th...seems like it JUST happened!😰😥😭💔🙏
RIP...My loving brother!🙏🎶
Duuuuuude. I'm going back through your older videos and man you spoke to me. Kudos to you for being vulnerable in the way that you were. I've had to deal with a lot of the same things you have (except for the military) I have two of my three kids, so yes, put the kids first!!
My personal interpretation of this video is that the little girl is represent in P!nk's inner child and is showing us what she went through.
She has a lot of amazing deep songs people have requested in the comments but for something a bit more upbeat and fun you should also check out P!nk ft Eminem Revenge.
This was my life. It still gets me in the feels
That song is amazing on so many levels
Apparently her mom heard this song on the radio and cried for three days straight.
My tears come out all of sudden... This song hit me hard... Really hard
You should have listen to the end of the video. She says "dad don't leave, turn around please. Remember that night you left, you took my shining star. "
There was a ccouple, that got divorced and really put the kids first. They agreed on a full time parent, so one worked for 5 years, then they switched. Only found out because the dad was at girl scout camp (not a lot of dads) and it was his turn. They shared everything, including Hollidays. They also never dated around the kids. Truly amazing
I relate sssssooooooooooooooo much I cry every time this song comes on
And of course the line mommy I'll do anything where the kid doesnt understand and feels they must have done something wrong to help cause it
This hits me too. Another good one is Wonderful by Everclear
Veteran react to whiskey lullaby
one of her best songs, great reaction.
I really appreciate you for this reaction. This song has hit home for me for years. Stay strong.
This is why I like your reaction videos, because you are real and honest.
Billy i have heared this song a few times never seen the video . Your commentary and reaction is something special . Love to you and your beautifull daughter ❤
That's definitely my life story as a kid
i can relate to this song, growing up was hell. my father was a abusive monster.
Yeah, this one hurts me TOO! There's a few songs out there I'm just NOT positive I could perform outside of a studio..but she's AMAZING! She went in n had this song about her childhood and (inner child)... Written n done in 20 minutes!!💔
I can relate. One of the many hells of my childhood. Blessed to have made it and being happy now 🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻
I can relate. Married, two kids, divorced. Cheating, mind games, emotional blackmail etc. And lord knows I wasn't innocent, I had my share of issues, things got toxic on both sides. But I've always stuck by the kids, see them every other weekend, extra on the holidays. Keep in touch during the weeks. That was 8 years ago, they're now 11 and 15.
I'm now remarried to a beautiful woman, with a gorgeous 3 month old daughter. My kids all love each other, my wife doesn't treat the other two any different. Things are mostly civil with the ex.
You should look at her song "18 wheeler" & "Just like a pill"
