    This was very useful especially since we are still studying quadratic equations in high school😁. Thanks a lot.

    If your frame of reference is at the top of the building, then the height h = -200 not 0. So t = 5.16 sec.

    Was asked if the quadratic applied to equations where x has a power greater than 2. anyway, nice work. Oh, dropped the 2 when rewriting your sq root?

    • @yourmathtutorvids
      @yourmathtutorvids  2 роки тому +1

      There would be multiple maxes and mins for equations with a power greater than 2. There are questions about things like absolute maxes in more advanced classes. For algebra 1, we’ll stick to power of 2 only!

    • @yourmathtutorvids

      Where did i drop the 2? Trying to find it 😬

    • @roginutah
      @roginutah 2 роки тому +1

      @@yourmathtutorvids When you rewrote -5 +- square root of 12825, you rewrote it as square root of 1285. Dropped the 2 from the tens place. At the end of the section you asked us to find the error. (2:39 bonus points!)

      @@roginutah omg yes! I did drop the 2 there. I was replaying the video and could not figure out haha. Good eye!

    • @yourmathtutorvids

      I accidentally dropped the 2 :( it’s supposed to be 12825 not 1285

  • @zikresarkar

    it was √12825. So it should be 113.24 and then calculate it.

    Shouldn't the question in PT 3 be "how to maximize.revenue" instead of "how to max profit"? Higher revenue doesn't always equate to higher profit.

      @yourmathtutorvids  Рік тому +1

      Late reply to your comment but yes! you're right. this problem is actually to maximize revenue since we're not considering the expenses that are being used in the situation. awesome catch. too bad youtube doesn't allow edits after uploading!

    Regina should not be tossing rocks off buildings, that is extremely dangerous.
