Ghanaian pidgin is mostly spoken by high school and university men. It was also spoken by the uneducated employees and soldiers during the colonial days.

Ghanaian Pidgin is mostly spoken in the secondary schools and the universities where all tribes from the different parts of the country congregate. This makes assimilation of all students very easy at the environment/campus.

This is interesting… I am a Sierra Leonean and we don’t speak Pidgin but Creole..
It is another form of broken English ….
We share some similar words with pidgin , but oh boy, it is different…
I’ll do a video with these same set of sentences…..

Yes, I was taught a few things about a Creole back at the University.

not really....the pidgin u hear from ghanaians is usually de University pidgin....most atimes the older generation of ghanaians speak similar to Nigerians and other west Africans speak. But we the younger 1s made sure to mke sure that we sound different and polished than all other West African pidgin speakers. And the words change very often. So you can say a word and find out that its expired on the streets. So yhh i love ghanaian pidgin more. it keeps evolving and gets sweeter

In Ghana, the pidgin varies from one group of people to the other. Ghanaian university school , corporate (office) and elites have their kind of pidgin, we also have harbour pidgin (Tema harbour) then we have street pidgin. But mostly some word are being coined by just a few set of people among themselves. Those words are kind of "coded " that you need to be part of their gang to understand what they are communicating. Nevertheless, Nigerian pidgin in much more wide and vast. So many jargons and slangs. Nigerian pidgin in richer than that of Ghana. I am a Ghanaian

Some form of Pidgin English is spoken all over English colonial West Africa. The Gambia, Sierra Leone, Liberia Ghana and Nigeria. Pidgin s generally are languages used between speakers of two different languages. After two different people stay in the same area start to inter marry. when they have children and those children don't have any other native tongue, that Pidgin becomes A creole like Krio in Sierra Leone! Typically this Pidgin is the lingua franca or unofficial language in all these West Africa Countries!
