I know, all the damage calcs and the free summon hurt as I made the same mistake. The guy who helped build my first decent deck drilled that into me... black white annointed procession zombie horde... still my fav deck
props to prof for not coming in with the, respectfully, "Um, actually" when calcing the damage on the final hit. he just rolled with it.

@@robnorman5183 nah that one has since been updated and is a zombie; however Grave Titan definitely is not, and it would've made a lot of difference this game unfortunately.
@@AraAraAraAraAraAraAraAraAra I think grave Titan only attacked on the last swing and not sure if that power mattered to kill the professor. But yea the whole rooftop storm for grave Titan is the biggest misplay that would’ve changed the outcome of the game lol
@@TofuofLight It did create zombies on ETB that attacked for quite a bit of damage so it definitely mattered.
Not that it was egregious either, but Matt was doing Lightfoot Rogue wrong as well. You only add the single box that your die roll falls in, not every single box before it as well.

I love the goofy editing mixed with the kinda scuffed gameplay cuz it makes it feel more like I’m hanging with the bois playing magic than some other shows. I also love shuffle up and play so this collaboration was perfect.
I like big production magic but, this is a good time as well. still has good production value but, it's not sanitised so much.
Love hearing Prof curse. It's like learning that your teacher is a real person and not just a robot they unplug at the end of the day

Prof of all people being one of the first Magic content creators to play with someone as big as Charlie makes me so happy.
Prof using his time to plug other creators was top notch.
Really nice job with the edit, especially leaving the cards on the screen that the previous players played, incredibly useful. And no other commander channel really does that
38:57, this is actually incorrect, but the reasoning the judge makes aligns with what we've been doing for all the other similar effects in the game. Sefris must be on the battlefield for the "when one or more creature cards [...]" to trigger, and if Sefris is destroyed with all other creatures, it does *not* trigger (because it looks for cards not creatures). This is noted in the Rulings section on Oracle.

Another rule mishap that I didn't see mentioned yet: @38:43 Sefris asks for creature cards being put into the graveyard from anywhere, this is different from a leaves-the-battlefield ability. Because of this, she needs to be on the board when other creature cards hit the graveyard, it won't trigger when she leaves the battlefield at the same time as other creatures.

25:38 bit of advice for people you can swords to plowshare at the beginning of combat before attackers are declared but after the first main phase is exited so people can't reequip their equipments.

By default, that is what happens if a player says they are going to combat. Unless the player casting the spell explicitly states they are casting it during the main phase, it is assumed it is being cast at the beginning of combat, which would prevent the player from continuing their main phase.
But it's nice that it's also legal to let him stay in the main phase, to give him a break. Even if he knew he could prevent Matt from equipping, I think he was happy to let him re-equip, to soften the blow of losing his commander.
I always announce phase changes for that reason. Some people just speed run through steps, not giving anyone time to react

Ive been watching commander videos for years. And finally finding more channels that play at least a little competitive is such a great watch. It teaches how to use the stack properly and how some cards work in ways you haven't thought of. And Prof will always be one of my favorites

New Idea. Instead of shock collars you have to eat the hottest peppers known to man if you make a misplay.
Casting that [[Grave Titan]] at 19:16 for zero mana kind of warped the game, but overall that was a fun game. Also liked the chill vibes a lot compared to some other EDH content creators that are faster paced with non-stop hysterical chatter back and forth, will definitely watch more of your games if they're as relaxed as this one!

Prof's first attack should've hit for 15, he has an enchantment on his land :)
17:40 Initiative will move you deeper into a dungeon if you already inside one. So instead of creating initiative "card" it should have moved you 1 room deeper. The only way to venture into the Undercity is take the initiative when you not in a dungeon or do it after you finished a dungeon.
"Initiative does one of two things: allows you to enter The Undercity, or moves you forward one room in whichever dungeon you happen to be in. Venture allows you to either enter one of the OG dungeons, or moves you forward one room in whichever dungeon you happen to be in."
He didn't enter the undercity, but he still gained the initiative. If you noticed, he progressed a room in the current dungeon he was in, not the undercity. He only placed out the initiative card.

White Plum goes into Undercity only, Grave Titan is not a Zombie. Another thing, the multiblock with Sefris will cause them to die at the same time even if the priority is set different, so you get the trigger to continue the dungeon crawling. Might show up more

actually all damage happens at the same time, so, the order in which professor's commander swung through drew's creatures with trample would make no difference with things triggering.
I once lasted about 4 turns longer than I should have at the LGS during an Ixalan block prerelease when we came to a board stall but OP forgot he had a Hellrider type effect and could just swing and kill me before blocks...
He figured it out eventually lol

Neither was the lord. He missed triggers. And didn't pay life triggers. Almost no rules were followed lol😂
@@jaywjr2456Lord of the Undead has been errata'ed as a zombie. Goblin King was like that as well. His creature type was Lord at one point but has since been printed with the Goblin Creature type, starting in Tenth Edition. Same with Lord of the Undead, actually.
