    Go to Costco and get some Bachans original barbecue sauce.Marinate a belly piece for 12hrs.Rinse it and let it dry in the fridge for 2-3hrs until the fish looks glazed and is sticky.Smoke it at 200 degrees to an internal temp of 135-140.Eat it right out of the smoker. You won't regret it.

    Great trip, video and congrats on the successful landings 👍🏻 Awesome luck getting on a nice fish on your kite turn!
    Friendly tip… be sure to learn how to “butt hook” for BFT when you want the bait to swim down & away from the boat (which is exactly want you want to catch larger & finicky fish). Shoulder is great when school size fish are actively feeding up top but that’s generally the exception. To butt hook, insert your circle hook under the small flat bone plate in-between the anal fins with hook point inserted facing the head, with the hook eye on the tail side facing back to your line and the boat as it swims. Best way to hook bait to catch picky bluefin IMO. Choose a hot bait, butt hook and get ready!

That damn sure is a fishing adventure complete with your own cabin! I am guessing it took a few hours alone to edit this epic event! You are going to be enjoying tuna all year long! Damn good Show Edward, thanks for taking us along Bro!

    Love your channel bro. I've been surf fishing Gaviota and south of for a few decades. Mostly for flatties and cabazon, calico and the like. You made me aware of striper and my question is, when are the migrations and who do I have to kneecap to find out when they are in? Also, you and been there caught that inspired me. I put it out there and the kids (all adults) hooked me up with the Okuma Hawaiian 13' paired with the Daiwa Saltiest Back Bay 4000.
    Wow man! Can cast further with that setup with 1.5 ounce torpedo and hi/low than my 12' medium/fast w/4oz. torp. So sensitive that the learning curve for strikes vs. rocks is, something. Love it. Thanks, if you read.

      @Hook2Cook  5 місяців тому

      Striper were all year long since last year's rains, but they run strong spring through summer. They seem to concentrate in higher numbers near freshwater outlets into the ocean. Glad you've been getting a lot out of the content!

      @@Hook2Cook learned a lot here. I appreciate the info. Can't wait for spring/summer. Try that Lucky Craft, some drop shot flukes. I have been pretty lucky for years on the Krocodile. 17 at an average of 18/19 inches in 45 minutes at a spot south of Refugio. I'm glad I found you man. Thanks again.
