    In this video I build box ends for the snowplow I use on my sub compact Bx23s Kubota tractor at my home. This turns a regular plow into a snow pusher! Looking forward to the time savings that will result from fabricating this up after putting off the project for so long.

    Good evening Sir, Yes I did ear about the price steel crazy prize, I guess they are going to do the same than wood 2x4 😤😤 Great snowplow in deed 👌👌😉😉👍👍💪💪 Cheers 🍻🍻

      Yeah no kidding! At least the lumber prices have came back down around here anyways but steel still seems to be about double what it was! How are the prices up there? Thanks for tuning in Dave!

      Hey, Thanks Joseph! I sometimes wish we got a lot more snow and then we get hit by a decent storm and it reminds me that I'm glad we don't get the 2ft snowfalls often! haha Makes for a lot of work! Thanks for tuning in bud!

    Outstanding, Tyler! I hear ya on our little scuts getting spanked around when using an angled blade on the loader arms! Have thoughts myself about a snow pusher.

    • @Tyler_Koehn
      @Tyler_Koehn  2 роки тому +1

      Thanks man! Yeah I think we had chatted about it last year. I was debating mounting a winch on the plow to angle it side to side. Then I figured i'd just build a actually pusher instead and here we are😂

    • @pondacres
      @pondacres 2 роки тому

      @@Tyler_Koehn yeh, we did talk about it as I recall. Are you leaving it as is, with the angle pivot? Or take that out and weld it directly on the ssqi plate?

    • @Tyler_Koehn
      @Tyler_Koehn  2 роки тому +1

      @@pondacres I think i want to leave it as is. I really did consider moving up the ssqa like your talking but i think i would ruin the value of the plow in the process. This more than likely is not going to hang around once I get a larger tractor so ill end up selling it and building a true snow pusher

    • @pondacres
      @pondacres 2 роки тому

      You know what, besides resale, even as a pusher I definitely see benefit to having it pivot, actually. If you could access the pivot release from the seat (push/pull cable or something), jackknife the the pusher, sweep off to the side.

      @@pondacres Yeah that would be slick! I have been wanted to build a spring loaded pin so I don't have to fumble with the hitch pin in the snow with gloves haha!

    How's she goin'? Nice mod Tyler!!! I have been playing around with the idea of doing this on my plow too. But I would like the 'wings' to be removable as I still need to plow a road and like to angle the blade to do that. But when I'm plowing my landing, having the 'wings' on would sure save a lot of time. Thanks for sharing your idea!! Take care!!!

    • @Tyler_Koehn
      @Tyler_Koehn  2 роки тому +1

      Hey thanks Mike! If i remember right yours is hydraulic tilt? You might be better off mounting them permanently but at a angle like the typical wings you bolt onto a plow. giving you the option of still being effective at wind-rowing. Another option would be to have pins that would protrude through the box ends and you would just use a lynch pin to hold them on. Look up "Hiniker box ends" Thanks for tuning in!
