  • Each year, the Society of Antiquaries of Scotland awards around £25,000 of grants to support high-quality research and publication relating to Scotland’s past.
This online Fellow’s meeting will provide a summary of the different grants that are available and will highlight some of the exciting projects the Society has funded over the past few years.
The second part of the meeting is a ‘Grants Surgery’ with an explanation of our grant guidance, a walkthrough of the application form, and top tips on how to write a successful application.
Dr Helen Spencer is the Scottish Archaeological Research Framework Project Manager at the Society of Antiquaries of Scotland and also co-ordinates the Society’s grants process. She is a Fellow and has a background in archaeological science, conservation and collections care in Museums and heritage. Her research interests are focussed on glass (especially window glass) found in Scotland and the early Scottish glass industry.
