  • Hello everyone, with this video we arrive in the capital of Vietnam, Hanoi, a city with 8 million inhabitants and 3 million motorbikes. City with chaotic, disorderly, anarchic and unregulated traffic. Fortunately, there are places where you can escape the chaos (and pollution) and where you can admire what remains of a thousand-year history, such as the Imperial Citadel of Thang Long, which we visit today. In 2010, UNESCO included the Citadel in the list of world heritage sites: the archaeological remains testify to a unique South-East Asian culture, at the crossroads between influences coming from ancient China to the north and the ancient kingdom of Champa South. We also visit a dungeon, the most important section of which was built in 1967 and is known as Bunker D67. It was from this underground war room that military commanders made key decisions about the conduct of their troops in the Vietnam War. Abandoned in 1975, the bunker was renovated in 2012 and opened to the public in 2017.
