    FYI- this guitar is available in a left handed version if you search hard enough. The lefty version is not shown in the catalog at ESP, but it's out there. I snagged one and love it!

    Got this guitar a few days ago, it's really great. Hope to be able to play it like that in a few years, only playing for a month or 6 now without a teacher. Finally lessons are starting next week!

    Hey Pat, would you recommend this model for a B tune setup? i know the scale lenght is 24,75...not a baritone...but well... with the right string gauge n setup...you think it worth it ? or should i just pick an 7 string? Cheers !

    • @sealogic4552
      @sealogic4552 5 років тому

      Arthur Ferreira Many extreme metal bands use Gibson scale length guitars for low tunings but in my personal opinion an extended range (or at least 648mm) would sound better and a baritone would sound best.

    Why is it so hard to find info on how to use the knobs? I've searched the internet and I can't find anything. I just experiment on my own and I don't even know what pickup I'm using. There are no manuals for this or a simple explanation? I just find myself having the switch pulled down and all the knobs always cranked up max, don't know what the difference makes.

    • @nickspideroi6867
      @nickspideroi6867 2 роки тому +1

      The switch selects pickups, and the first knob is volume, second is volume 2, third is tone

  • @johnnystyles71

    Could you Drop tune this guitar to A? Or would you recommend the Baritone ESP EC401

    • @DarkRob316
      @DarkRob316 9 років тому

      Jessica Guthas You would definitely want a baritone if you want to go that low and maintain good tuning stability. I should think one with at least a 27 inch scale. Strat/super strats usually have a 25.5 inch scale, PRS is the odd duck with a 25 inch scale, and Les Paul style guitars(of which the EC401 is) are the shortest with a 24.75 inch scale. So out of all of these, Les Paul style guitars tend to handle extreme detuning the worst. That's not to say it cant be done, but youll have to use much heavier gauge strings and probably stiffen your truss rod. And even then it will never hold tuning as well as a 27 inch baritone will.

      tone pros bridge, locking tuners and sometimes crzay abalone on the fretboard (too much for me) and where its made.. actually i think there made in the same place now... but dont quote me on that

    • @Dann1303

      Galgamach The 1000 also has the same thickness or similar to a les paul with no cut outs

    what is the price for it?

  • @SuperJiggawhat
    @SuperJiggawhat 4 роки тому

    Looks like a Les Paul, but it doesn't have the correct neck angle of a Les Paul. It's more like a strat, where the neck is completely flat with the body. The action out of the factory is nice and low at 3/64th on both sides with a little buzz evenly down the neck from the jumbo frets. This definitely cought my attention at first, and makes for a different sound all together.
