Great informative video. I was born in 1947 and lived in Gt Yarmouth till I was 15 yrs (1962)old, then I joined the Royal Navy. My father George Crisp was manager of Coop butchers just off the market place, we lived in Priory Gardens. I was never interested in the history of the town when living there, but for the last few years I can't get enough knowledge, and on my frequent returns to the town I garner as much information as possible.Shame the interview wasnt filmed.

Thank you! There are a number of George Crisps listed on Ancestry. If you want to let me have your father's date of birth/death, middle name and your mother's name and date of their marriage we might be able to find out some more about them.

@@ringerpaul3118 Thanks Paul I have the census and information about Dad, born 09/03/1904...died 1973. Thanks anyhow for the offer. Talking about the "Rows" are there any books on the subject? Did see one for sale but only 20 pages! Henry 111 and Gt Yarmouth wall as another interest.

@@068694 Colin Tooke has written two books about the rows: Great Yarmouth: The Rows and the Old Town: 2000 (£14.95 on eBay) and Rows of Great Yarmouth: 1987 (£22.99 on eBay). My favorite is the 1987 book. There is a Facebook group: facebook.com/RowsofGY/ and a webpage about the rows: www.greatyarmouthpreservationtrust.org/the-rows
