Ronnie White's sportsmanship in defeat is very close to my definition of honor
I was also going to comment on his excellent sportsmanship. Really, really admirable. As they both said, good memory is ultimately just a skill. Good character is something more than that.
Ironic that they use name tags at that event.
Lmao
They're for the judges, not for the competitors.
You should see the interview with Jim Karol and Tony Dottino about going to Universal Studios. They were both on the phone when they parked and on the way out couldn't recall where they parked! ua-cam.com/video/1O-K290nTvQ/v-deo.html
@@vyn4147 oh really.
@@vyn4147 Shouldn't the people with the BEST memory be delegated as the judges?
Wow, Ron White had such a good attitude at the end!
Damn...I can't even remember what comment I was going to type. These guys are amazing.
Awesome achievements, guys. Should remind us all of what we're really capable of.
Sure, if you want to construct an elaborate min palace every time you want to remember a phone number. If that's what it takes to "have an exceptional memory," I think I'd rather just write things down.
@@scottk1525 Is it really that tedious Scott? Once practiced it becomes effortless, automatic and efficient. Memorizing 15 000 in under 30 minutes is worth it.
I've learned so much from those first two guys. Their pages are the best
imagine this guy walking up to someone and saying their name because he saw them 12 years ago at a bar and asked them for their name
They will forget his name if they don't do spaced repetition
I'm just a regular guy but I remember phone numbers that weren't even said directly to me almost 20 years ago, and I do remember random bar names. I can't imagine what these people have to deal with
Mind is truly an exeptional organ. I myself has a poor memory and getting poorer. :-( This somehow inspire me to pratice not for any competition (although I had that in mind) but more for myself. Like yesterday, I just forgot to take 2000 pesos when I withdrew on an ATM. I was not in myself. My goodness. I was so stressed and disappoited and humilliated about myself and of course to my mom cuz its her's. I better practice what I've learned.
I only have 1 dollar you have 2000 dollars wow
Filipino?
@@burgermuncher9455 pesos not dollars idiot 1 dollar is 50 pesos ur also lacking IQ
@@burgermuncher9455 and the ability to read fvcking sentences
LordHeskYT and the ability to spell words
This is awesome they need to teach this in schools!
That's a lot of pressure if you are a memory champion. Like, when your spouse asks you to remember to pick up milk and eggs on the way home.
😂🤣
why does it feel like a new supervillain has been born
why does ronnie sound like he's just making literally every detail up lmao
Ronnie is young in this video
You did a great job by exposing Vijay Shahi's scamming..thank you and congratulations brother.. 🙏🙏
Half of these guys would be asking me after a minute: I am sorry what did you say was your name? This only shows that "good memory" is first and foremost hard work.
0:52 Jorg Washingmachine
lmfao
One of these guys could be world class at 5BLD
I'm late but yes, these guys have a ton of potential in 4BLD, 5BLD and MBLD
@@charlieharrison pretty sure Marcin Kowalcyz does MBLD and this stuff too
I wanna do this!!
Did you do it?
@@abdullah_z101 nope haha

They call me....tater salad
😅
Wtf...is he talking about😂
What is WHO talking about, and at what point in the video?
Memory palace technique
🤣🤣🤣
They don't know
lol nerdz
The tricks that memory champions rely on are a bit disappointing. They "have an amazing memory" in the same way that crossfitters "can do 30 pullups." I think a true memory champion would be able to recall things effortlessly, without having to rely on bizarre strategies of constructing elaborate mind palaces every time they want to remember a phone number.
@TheUltimateGamer You expecting me to disagree?
I don’t think we understand memory fully yet, but what we do know is we can remember things through associations, and that is likely what happens when you recall something by default. You think, what did I have for breakfast? Then you remember waking up, going downstairs, opening the fridge, *and then* grabbing eggs. The memory palace is just a focused way to establish something that may not instinctively seem important, and makes it important. I don’t see why you can’t apply this to practical topics like mathematical concepts or physics - it simply adds another layer of reference, perhaps an algorithm, similar to how music is an algorithm for remembering notes and pitches and harmonies.
Techniques are for right brained people
Left brained people just have better memories
No.
FAKE
Not fake, I've done this
You will get nowhere in life if you are so biased. Open your mind a little.
This is not fake man :P
Check out Ron White's youtube channel. Just search for 'Ron White memory' here on youtube. If you imploy these techniques it really helps alot. I use it whenever I have an exam.
Fuckin barca kids stfo
Losers always say that to minimize their lack of ability.
