Great way to ruin an engine with that much ether !!!! Ether is a starting aid, not a running aid. Check carburetor floats/needle valves, fuel pump, fuel filter and gas tank. Use fresh gas with no water or rust in it from an bad tank.
Ford produced those generation F-series medium duties from 73 - 79 & same with the 6th generation F-series light duties & not to forget the 2nd generation Broncos too except they were produced from 78 - 79.
Whenever I'm starting stuff that's been sitting a long time I bring my nurse tank setup. Old Tupperware jug with a petcock threaded in the bottom and a coat hanger hose clamed around the jug. Hang it up, fill it a bit, hook it up to the carb with a length of fuel line and you're in business, no sucking crap up and checking fuel pumps etc. Nice truck but I prefer the '80 and up F series commercial trucks.

The carb was bad, we were just trying to have the truck make some noise for a video. It was sold long ago now.
