[thank, you for youre video. Nice looking dump truck. I, bought a 1973, ford f-700 dump truck with a 2-spd. rear axle air brakes and a 361 big block ford engine. these trucks are built well and can pull hard. not many around anymore.]
Pretty sure the original outside rear view mirrors were about 6" round, mounted on a slightly adjustable single stem. Those presently on the sides would be a big improvement for rear side visibility.
I like most of your videos...but the guy thats working on this truck doesn't seem to have a clue...sorry but that's the way I see it. I've been working on trucks and heavy equipment for almost 50 years. Some super old and new and can't seem to figure out why he can't figure out the basic processes of checking out all the basic systems to determine why able to get started.
That's back when they still made good guality trucks...thank you for sharing this video...good to see the old girl fire up...and she sound's Great😊
Waist of my time watching teekers move a piece of equipment for no apparent reason.
Didnt mention the sale of Freightliner and the creation of the Conways.
I'd like to see one of these videos of Westway Express and Nationway
lol did you get it started I assume? Thats my old rig :)
If I recall it needed new injectors or something like that. Wouldn’t start.
Oh I wouldn’t doubt it. It was sitting around for a few yrs before I finally just gave it away. Was it still in Nh ?
Years ago in Hawaii Robert's Hawaii and TransHawaiian and Grayline Hawaii had all these same model buses around the same years late 80's through the 90's
This engine was drowned by your wd40 in the carburator!
I just drove one home Idek what it is yet lol I know it’s a Chevy Kodiak idk the year and I think it has a cat engine
Does it run still?
Hello from Canada
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻💯
I wish i could find one of these.
These MCIs have always been my favorites.
That's an 8V71N Detroit Diesel engine, not a 6V71N engine. On, and this MCI model is the MC-9 bus probably from the early-80's.
Do you have any idea on what this weighs? I can’t find anything online about the 275a let alone the weight. I’m looking at buying one for cheap but it might only end up being worth scrap. The guy doesn’t know anything about it other than the year, make and model.
Ese TEPSA
It's crazy how much it looks like the Ford snub nose truck.
6v92 I would bet not a 71
Restore it.
My 1957 280 had a 262 hp 743 cubic inch Cummins in it. Great machine!
Where is this truck located that mess with
This bus powered by 8V71 Detroit that was switched on as the open was flipped in the back in terms of the open ing of the old stream of players in terms of wind tunes of diesels in the 1980s.
Da fuq you just say?
Awesome video! Looking forward to seeing more informational videos about the history of different trucks.
Do you happen to know if its for sale?
I use to drive the autocar for benotti it has a 400 big cam and a 13psd 4spd auxiliary one hell of a truck to drive
That's awesome, it still sees work occasionally.
Luiz Carlos Fernandes brasil Paraná
Ironically the starter begins cranking at 3:17, and this truck may well have the 317 Y-block V8 in it.
Харя...как у того Форда!!!😂
Boos of diesel engines..
Great way to ruin an engine with that much ether !!!! Ether is a starting aid, not a running aid. Check carburetor floats/needle valves, fuel pump, fuel filter and gas tank. Use fresh gas with no water or rust in it from an bad tank.
The carb was bad, we were just trying to have the truck make some noise for a video. It was sold long ago now.
I’ve never seen a s2500 with a gas
Great video man thanks. Great trucks and good looking
Good job buddy, haven't seen one of these in a while..
Thanks Elton, I’m slowly trying to post more.
una cosa muy bonita de FORD
I had a MC 3000 fork lift BAD ASS machine crawled all over the mountain gathering stone for Black Creek Country Club and Golf course. 2.5 years. was offered it back a few weeks ago ???
This truck is a beast & just straight up bad to the bone! I've always loved '54s and their vampire fang lookin' grills! Damn cool!
Hey there from Australia. I actually got some pictures of Ford trucks here and different brands of trucks. If you would like to see. I’ll be happy to show
That would be cool
@@oldschooltruckingphotos alright. I’ll send them on Insta
I shot an absolutely stupid video of me so excited buying my first Ford 9000
Found you.
Please please make more of these with the interior view. Even if they’re just cold starts
That does not look like it was sitting for 5 years, maybe 5 months...
It was 5 years.
Wish I had the $$, restore this gem 💎 and go for a road trip! Love these MCIs and the DL102 too....it's I'm really nice shape with a great interior and livery....(the interior is basically the same as NYCMTAs 102DL3/D4500 fleet, less the commode and tvs)
Parts are likely worth more then what you paid for it.
Who knows it’s been gone for 2 years now just about
Have a 63 5500 Jimmy with a 9' dump. 101k orig miles 5×2 with air. V6 engine
How much I take it , my ol ford would be a good parts truck for stir one ☝️ nice things are nice as long as we have gas to put in them , the I have s a 1975 , it’s a tow truck , I don’t know my truck size it’s not large 10 lug like this one ☝️ kool thanks BigAl California l praise Jesus Christ grace amen 🙏
It sold a long time ago now.
damn. it started right up lol. Gotta love those DT466's
Curious, did it sell? How much did you get for it if you don't mind me asking? Thanks
I did sell months ago, I don’t know the price it sold for.
