No shame in wearing the same clothes for multiple days! Unless you get really dirty, clothes are usually okay to wear 2-3 days (not including panties, of course) in a row.
I love cozying up and watching your videos. Seeing you reading, having time on the couch, cooking or going out relaxes me so much, it's been a few years. Also you've convinced me to get a river enchanted, since we have similar tastes in books!
im super excited about a river enchanted! i really liked dreams lie beneath and the queens rising by the same author. I find she always does these really sweet and wholesome slow burn romances with really interesting fantasy worlds with rich history.
I love the fact that this is a duology and not a trilogy. A Fire Endless is book 2. In the U.S., you can get both on Kindle Unlimited (as of Dec. 16, 2023)
I read A river enchanted, it was just OK for me. I think the problem was that i’ve been spoilt with Juliet Marillier ‘s books, same vibes but much much better , at least for me! But glad you enjoyed it!
Omg I’m reading this now and I feel like all books are ruined because of a Juliet Marillier . She’s just my favorite. I’m not hooked on A River enchanted yet . It’s okay. I hope it gets better!! I think I’m just not loving the protagonist Jack and that can be an issue for me . Does that change? Since we have similar taste are there any other books you can recommend me?
@@danaprovenzano3961 try The bird and the sword by Amy Harmon, perhaps Stain by AG Howard though it is more young adult or Spinning Silver by Naomi Novik, The bear and the Nightingale by Katherine Arden , they all have fairy tale vibes but to me Marillier is still the best . As to River enchanted I never quite loved the protagonists, I felt they were a bit bland , I remained indifferent towards them throughout the novel but that could be just me! Hope you end up enjoying it!
@@isabelbonet696 I read a few of these! Lol! I liked the bird and the sword more than the bear and nightingale but I did like the latter enough! The atmosphere was great but Juliet just writes characters soooo personally you know them intimately and they are always lovable which I like!! I just started reading her book wolfskin! Did you read that one?
@@isabelbonet696 I wanted to recommend highland Raven bf Melanie Karsak . I really ate those books up. Though it was awhile ago. Also her Shield-maiden series. Loved that. And The Forgotten Kingdom by Signe pike . Though the second book in signes series is when I really fell in love with it .
A River Enchanted sounds so wonderful! I am definitely going to have to make that a backlist add-on for my next BOTM. I decided to watch your vlog right around dinner time and now my stomach is rumbling. Time to cook now! Looking forward to your next reading vlog as always. Highlight of my week. 😊💙
I just finished a river enchanted and wanted to come back to this video again. I agree wholeheartedly with everything you said. I loved it and the way that everything developed. The romance, the mystery. The way the spirits manifested on the island by whispers on the wind and changing land scapes was very inventive and added a lot to the story. Overall Very charming and dreamlike
I just finally picked up A River Enchanted to start reading the ARC I won (unfortunately I won it and then my life sort of blew up for how busy I got so I haven't gotten around to it until now) last night! So far, I am absolutely loving it! I sincerely enjoyed both The Queen's Rising and The Queen's Resistance by Rebecca Ross previously.
I love that you gave her a second chance and enjoyed the adult output more than the YA. Recommendation for all who like something historic, gothic and super atmospheric is The Clockwork Girl by Anna Mazzola - please reply if you loved it too as none of my irl reading buddies have read it! 😍
An author I do plan to give a second chance is Michael Chabon. I read Wonder Boys and loved the prose but hated the main character. But I don't want to cut myself off from such lovely prose so I'll give him one more chance.
You should watch My secret romance ( kdrama) I'm rewatching it and I still love it! Watching Business proposal too and so far, it's hilarious! Love the vlogs !🥰
I’m obsessed with the Real housewives and always look forward to my husband wanting to play video games so I can go to my reading room, watch RH, and read.
A river enchanted truly enchanted me! It had me squealing and crying. My whole world was shattered when i realized the book was only published last month and we won’t be getting a sequel (understandably) for a minute 😭
I know a lot of people don’t really like Rain Wilds, but I loved them! They were a nice break in between the Fitz angst. Random question - I’ve been eyeing that brand of rice cooker for a while but currently use my Instant Pot. It is as good as it’s hyped to be?
So, Liveship, Tawney Man, Rain Wild, that's the best order? This is definitely making me want to read Dragon Keeper but it's a long road since I've not yet started Liveship...
For me I ended up dnfing assassins apprentice and then I started reading the liveship trader series once I finished that series I read the rain water chronicles I'm almost done with the series

I really enjoy your reading vlogs, it really helps me calm down and feel cozy, and it's always so nice to hear ur thoughts going through the books
I just finished A River Enchanted and I am obsessed. I don't know why it constantly reminded me of Folklore by Taylor Swift. Truly a 10/10

I just picked A River Enchanted up at the library this week and now i'm even more excited to read it!
Outfit repeater here 🙋🏻♀️ lol

Nothing better than seeing a doggo excited for their food 🥰🐶 so precious
Yeah so true 🥰😃🐶🐕
Dragon Keeper is so good! I feel like a lot of people like it less than other series but I feel like it's on par. I love the female characters, too!
I read A river enchanted, it was just OK for me. I think the problem was that i’ve been spoilt with Juliet Marillier ‘s books, same vibes but much much better , at least for me! But glad you enjoyed it!
I NEED to check her books out!

NEVER STOP DOING VLOGS
I just read dreams lie beneath by Rebecca Ross and really enjoyed it.
A River Enchanted is my favorite read so far of 2022!

Oh and I did enjoy the vlog, great listen as I moved some books around, making my shelves a bit more fun 🙂
Knew you would love A River Enchanted! You have to read The Cartographers next!

Sounds interesting! Is there any romance in it?
you should really come to brazil, we eat it everyday!
arroz feijão carne e salada
I've never read anything from Robin Hobb, where do I start? Cozy mysteries are my thing, but your videos make fantasy sound so good.
Think it’s called assassins apprentice, and it’s a bunch of trilogies that link together
My next book to read is Fools Fate. I love Robin Hobb and so happy someone else loves her too 🤩
An author I do plan to give a second chance is Michael Chabon. I read Wonder Boys and loved the prose but hated the main character. But I don't want to cut myself off from such lovely prose so I'll give him one more chance.
That chicken, mashed potatoes and broccoli you had for dinner looks amazing!!! Do you have a recipe for it?? I can’t stop thinking about it 😂🤣
I want to read a River enchanted so badly 😩 I love Rebecca ross
I would love your opinion on The Lost Apothecary! My friends and I are split in half about if we love or hate it.
Between that book and Catherine House I'm so curious what my reaction would be. They're such polarising books
I’ve never been this early! But I’m excited for this vlog! I hope your doing ok ❤️
Your meals always look delicious 😋

I love these reading vlogs!! I've added A River Enchanted to my tbr because it sounds so interesting omg
Jeni’s is in Houston and Dallas too!! I love it!
I’m so happy they have come south!!
Nice video! I like your style! 😊
Love being early to a vlog!
If you haven't yet, you've gotta give Comfort Me With Apples a read. Very strange but so interesting and would make a great book club choice.
I’m obsessed with the Real

Absolute vibez and very relatable lol
Which app does you use to keep track of your reading a book?
Her Goodreads account is linked in her bio! I think that’s what she uses
Oh thanks dear
Have you read any Grace Lin? "Where the Mountain Meets the Moon" and "When the Sea Turned to Silver" sound so much like the first book you read.
24 hour readathon with booktok books?

If you eat a lot of rice I highly recommend! The taste and texture and the delightful jingle is out of this world
@@PeruseProject Good to know! We cook rice at least twice a week.

I love watching your reading vlogs instead of doing my own reading 😂
Is the severance show based on the book?
Severance the show is based on the book Severance! It’s supposed to be pretty good 😊
I thought that ice cream was coleslaw
