Ben's sister was friends with a friend of mine and I met her once at a party where I told her how much I missed her brother racing. Well I guess she told Ben about our meeting and that guy signed one of his (expensive) books, endorsed it to me and then had her GIVE it to me through my friend. What an awesome dude! --Sorry, Ben, I know how you Texans hate to be called "dude."
Ben is the man......I had the priviledge of watching Eddie and Freddie duke it out in '80,'81 and '82......but I must say watching Ben and Matt in '04 thru '08 was a treat I will never forget.
Cool thing about him is now that he's retirededed, he has the time to remember and analyze stuff. When any of us were racing, the time to consider facts through experience isn't there. The great thing about the mind is it records stuff you wouldn't believe it would store.
I remember watching Ben race 125’s in Henderson, TX. with CMRA. In the morning practice he was passing 600s’s like they were standing still. Everyone knew he had talent! It’s been so exciting watching his career over the years trackside and on television. He was such a great representative of the USA when he raced! Now, what an ambassador for MotoAmerica and young racers as Team Mascot 😊
Aawww Ben!! was ask if he would throw leg over them rocket ships again. He smiled and said , oh no im happy.... 😂. Hes seems really happy and he a good a team mascot (principal). Lol. 😂😂😅😅

"Another Team mate" You mean Matt? AHahahaha So glad he's back and being a part of the races! Awesome interview!
Fantastic discussion - thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it!
I wish the US could produce talent like Ben and Nikki again. I hope the series grows and grows so that can happen again!
Was hoping Cam Beaubier was going to be able to do something, but yeah...
@@R1Armadill0 Agreed. I though he was it.
The last American World Champion . Respect ...
Glad I got to witness it!

I feel his style of riding would've been great with current MotoGP bikes. Ahead of his time.
When I think of Bens racing career I remember him being a Yamaha rider. I wonder what he thinks of himself? My guess is Suzuki
