Meatloaf Mercury Blues -Couldn't Have Said it Better- (Album version)

I absolutely love this version of this song, and realized that there were only live versions already on youtube, many with not so great audio quality. Figured I'd try to throw up an album version. Neither the music or accompanying album artwork belongs to me. I'm merely trying to share a good piece of music.

I've heard quite a few versions of this song by various artists but this one by Meatloaf is THE BEST!! In mho. I heard it on the radio about 6 years ago and it blew me away. So good.

This is hidden on the album. After "Forever Young" ends you have to let the CD keep playing about two more minutes, then "Mercury Blues" starts with the sound of a Mercury starting. Well worth the wait!
I loved this song when I was 5 and a friend of my grandpa's had the original blues version. He would let me play his old records on his record player, which he'd set down on the floor for me. I think I love Meat Loaf's version just as much as the original. Thanks for posting this version.

I personally like the country version of this song, by Alan Jackson, the most. But I can appreciate how all sorts of artists from different genres tailored the song to fit their audience and tone. Great way to expose people to some old timey tunes.
