  • Suicide claims thousands of lives every year - but figures show that men are around four times more likely to kill themselves than women. It is thought to be the single biggest cause of death for men under the age of 50.
One person who has had personal experience of this is the BBC's Simon Jack, whose father took his own life when he was 44.
Now that Simon has reached the same age, he has been exploring the issue for the BBC's Panorama programme.

Commiting a suicide is not a remedy of any problem. It is done by a coward. I have a request to everybody not to commit a suicide & fight bravely against your problems. Surprisingly you will be the winner of any problem.

Dharmendra Jamuar I'm afraid you are talking total and utter tripe. I hope one day you will change your thoughts to understand that people have the freedom to their own destiny and if someone is very unhappy, you and no one else can understand what they are feeling or thinking.
You do not know how anyone feels but your self.

50 years of serious challenges and tragedies in life, waiting for it to get better----Trying! Divorced and my ex was given everything by the court system, including my child whom I loved more than life itself. My ex has convinced my daughter that I am a monster, so no more seeing my daughter. She is gone like everything else. 50 years is enough, I'm putting some personal things in order, then I am getting out of this life and this twisted world.

Dear sir, please do not! There are people who care about you all over the world. We care, we listen your pain, and we know. Please seek help. I know that things seem bleak and the pain unbearable, but there is always some hope. Please do watch some videos by Jordan Peterson on life and its troubles, and do feel free to reach out. With lots of love and compassion from your brothers around the world.

TS I'm here going through the same thing. I'm 41 and lost my son. I waited until I was stable and had my first child at 38 in 2018. It's 2022 and it the absolute worst year of my life at 41. In one foul swoop I lost my job, my wife left me and kept our son. This is the darkest place I've ever been in. I'm sleeping in my car wondering if life has anything for me... and time and time again I can't seem to find a reason. I hope you're still around sir. I don't know what I'm gonna do either.

Cheaper to die than it is to live. I can’t pay for my health insurance fee because I couldn’t hold down a job so I got a $1,500 fine this year i also have a parking ticket because an old lady was bored I have taxes I can’t afford... honestly I’m not sure i won’t just pay the $95 out😐 I don’t want much out of life but it’s I guess it’s to much.

Ade Veronica That's an interesting theory... i've got a better one:
Men learn at a very very early age that if they asked for help it'll just make things worse, because nobody gives a shit, their expected to just put up with whatever. A women's tears results in an army of white knights to come to her rescue, while a man tears result in him being pushed to the kerb faster.
Would you really like to know why men don't ask for help? Look up the video: *_"Feminist Rape Culture Statuatory Edition"_* By *_Alison Tieman_*. Not just feminism, that's how traditionalist view male and female victimization.
And look up while your at it look up: *_"Warren Farrell protest at University of Toronto"_* By *_StudioBrule_*. That is what men get when they speak out about their issues.

No I hate this narrative. There is no help. The nhs budgets absolutely nothing for men. These problems aren't solved by a few phone calls to the samaritans. Society simply doesn't care about men. @@adev9764

Funding for suicide in Australia mostly ends up going to women. No one seems to give a shit about the funding gap. I urge you to go research how much is being spent on domestic violence campaigns for women then compare the funding for male suicide, it is appalling. Men are shunned from birth nowadays, therefore the stats are not surprising. I was once with a girl who thought she could do no wrong, might I add she was a feminist, surprise surprise. She manipulated and physically abused me to the point where I was considering suicide as the only option out. I stopped talking about it to others because they all just assume that I must have somehow been the perpetrator and deserving of it. I have, for the most part, had to recover on my own. The majority of guys that I have talked about it too say that they have experience similar things. Most of them tell me that it is as if women think they have a right to hit men in relationships and do so without a second thought. Not a single guy had reported the violence to anyone because, as said before, everyone assumes you deserved it or are in fact the real perpetrator. Good guys hearts and lives are being destroyed left right and centre and if anyone attempts to care they are shut down by feminists.

Because... some people have run out of energy and spirit and can't be arsed with all the bullshit anymore. The older you get the more festering putrid human shit reveals itself to you resulting in extreme hopelessness. But there is always alcohol and drugs to numb the pain. (disclaimer) none of this applies if your rich.
