The foolproof technique:
Look at hooman.
Whine.
Offer toy.
Whine more.
If this doesn't work, bring out the big guns: perform unrequested trick and/or look miserable.

@Tyler Leyden That was a really rude remark (but I guess I don’t need to point that out). Anyway. Not many people leave food out for dogs to OVERconsume and therefore become overweight. Dogs have a required intake of food, just as other species do (i.e., humans). You can ask a vet to verify a dog's nutritional goals. Anyway, as long as a pup is healthy, happy and thriving, it’s all good. Wishing you peace & kindness.

I just got a beagle last month he about 3 months now at im glad I ran into a beagle for my first dog... he can be a handful sometimes but he is the greatest dog ive been around & look forward to the next 15+years with him

Oliver's dad, that is really nice of you to donate money to the charity. I don't think many people read that part.
I tried to donate food and some small items to a local charity last week and they weren't accepting anything, the following day they closed because of the virus.

Oh that brings back memories. My mother and I used to have a couple of beagles, and one of them literally had a timer for a belly. Every day at 3:59 he'd be napping, but the moment it hit 4 o'clock, he'd be up and sitting at our feet staring at us, all, "Food please it's time for dinner." Literally, 4pm on the nose. And this movement would wake the other and he would join in. Oh, and they knew the word "chicken". If they got some of that in their meal and we told them ahead of time, they would go absolutely bananas. Pretty sure it was their favorite word.

Manipulation by only one stare, whimper, yawn or bark. Sooooo recognisable. A beagle's behaviour seems programmed like clockwork. And every time they make you fall for it. I have never come across another breed with a strong developed skill to communicate as theirs. ❤
