Tell me your thoughts about part 2 :)
I'm honestly fine if you put a small clip of a unit you rarely use yet do well with into the video at the end. Can't say for anyone else though.
I liked it and would like to see more
Really like it you always find a way to play low tier unit with efficient.
Part2 was dope. Learned alot of new stuff on Javs.

I definitely love the extra clips - not only do we get to see more unconventional units being used like green javs in high tier (which I'm a big fan of - unconventional picks being good in specific situations), but we just get more KnightStalkerOnline which is always amazing. Part 2 is a win for me!

I do love micro! :) A longsword has space and time to micro in combat because of the heavy armor and massive regenerating hitpoint pool. You can afford to get knocked about a bit while you focus up on your unit so your available APM for micro while in combat is much higher than most other classes get.
I do like the AI differences - I should really cover that in a video!

I like the added pngs of where you deploy them in the beginning I never even thought something so simple would be so helpful!
I wondered if that would be of use to anyone. I do intend to keep doing it because it helps me show what my thinking is when I pick units and showing where I intend to use them.

pretty sure Modao is the name of the weapon (Modao Battalion implies that they are a Battalion that uses said weapon). Based on historical depiction, it can be interpreted as either glaive like or similar to a very long bladed katana)

The weapon the maldaos are using is called a "naginata". :)
Oh... so you just wanna see how I pronounce that word huh?
Actually the weapon is called a modao, the unit name is after the weapon which is a sword staff for killing cavalry and infantry irl. Naginata is a more light and less fancy version of the guandao (or glaive) which is what guan yu uses in 3 kingdoms. All 3 are swordstaff like polearms, which have an immensely long slashing blade mounted on a stick. Fun historical fact about the modao, there was once a general who rushed into battle with his modao due to a surprise attack by turk rebels in the army, and hacked the first cavalry man he saw in two along with his horse in one blow.

I think it'd be radical if the Longsword speed up also increased the attack speed of units too. Maybe to a lesser degree to the move speed. I think that would be awesome.

@@KnightStalker As a longsword main, I feel like it already is OP if you play to it's strengths.
True but I feel like the speedup thing isn't particularly useful or well utilized. I don't think I'v ever seen a play made where the speedup had a big impact. I mainly use it to get my slow ass ISG or Reapers to the front faster.
Its not just speed up, it also gives a large boost to armor penetration and when you unlock runes its also a damage reduction
Ohhh I didn't really know about the penetration bit, I thought that was a rune too. Next time I think I'll read the ability properly xD
6:01 When in the semicircle formation, you can quickly click f1 or 2 and immediately press brace again and hey will all face the same direction, it can also be done after a schiltron, it comes with the negative that since they are all facing thebsame way, the sides are a little less protected as the spears are now braced "forward"
Edit 18:20 honestly, I saw that your green jav did 2k damage to maidens, that's more damage than what my purple or gold units usually do, they usually do only 1k to 2k, my monastics fully specialized in damage usually charge for only 3k... Somehow

Don't know if the low tier javs also have good blockbreak tbh but in theory they should be a good support unit if the meta revolves around shielded units.
I'd be interested in a green/blue tier support lineup with the poison archers, javs, alchemists, and any other units i've forgotten about.

S tier picks
Good: Shortsword, Longsword, Glaive, Poleaxe, Pike, Maul, Chaindart, Musket
Bad: Longbow, Shortbow, Spear
Thats not to say that an expert shortbow is not going to do well (because they are an expert and they will), nor that a poor chaindart will do well - these are broad generalizations.

hello knightstalker mate i wanted to right to you along time ago and now i will try to adress most of your opinios in your career in conqueros blade iam sorry in advance for my bad english D so longsword build it was my first class and its my favorite i also playing musket nodachi and shortsword now about my longsword i believe you are right in your philosofy but personaly i leaning towards to more fine tuning 60-70% base armor and health and the other ones to surpise with this sharp point on my sword when they least expected ofc i understand that you have a certain play style as we all ofc and as arestoteles said everybody is right at their point of vew and i agree with him and btw i like more of plato because his philosofy was more spiritual than the practical that aristotels had and while iam saying that i wish you the best to you and your family try not to be sad too much about loved ones that we lose because we gona be seen them again in the other side the sadnes is for us not to them that they go to real life and i say this because i like your style in game and i beleive you have the same style in others parts of your life too you and the others people that play video games are all my kind of people cause they are gamers i share my feeelings to you because you are my bro!! in arms hehe and i enjoy your videos and if was your neighbor iam sure we would be friends so keep up the good work my brother oh and i lked also that video music clip you posted hahahahah anyway i wish you the best and as you said in some previus video this is SPARTAAAA motherfuckers!!!!!

I love the vid so far! just a quick question though...which units do you recommend using right now? I do not have many seasonal units unlocked (f2p player) and I am really struggling with my t3 and t4 units into the current meta, any tips?

Welcome to the game and the difficult early game grind! If you stuck it out this far you will have no trouble at all because your progress starts to accelerate after a while.
So just for tech tree units at this stage yeah?
T3 prefecture guard are terrifying even to gold units if you play using the method I teach (search prefecture guard in my channel), also T3 standard halberdiers put out a nuts amount of damage for their tier and are dangerous to gold cav. Ironcap shields are great value blocker unit for their leadership cost but you wont be getting any MVP's using them.
In T4, palace guard are meta, having massive damage and tanking potential. Kriegsrat fusiliers are a very dangerous gun unit and their ammo pool tends to help newer players because you outstay your welcome in a position and get stomped less often. Armiger lancers are very good value as a cavalry unit being both very very dangerous and also relatively low leadership cost!
@@KnightStalker @KnightStalker Online thank you for the recommendation! I used to love the t3 halberdiers but I ended up upgrading them to alpines which don't feel that strong right now. I'll try the t3 prefecture guards as well as the palaxe guard, ty for recommendations
The long sword heal skill and the speed boost skill merge I can't upgrade the speed boost skill ? But it shows I can with the orange outline it doesn't even show how much it cost when I click it is it just me?
Speed boost skill (Knightly vows) is no longer an independent skill, it is now an add-on to heal (Mercy of Heaven) and can't be upgraded.

I think separate videos are better. Then you can see better what you are looking at. Because if you're not interested in the flamethrowers, you haven't seen a good video about the militia javelin throwers :D

question for nodachi players(or any one who knows about them). Whats the deal with the skills that get you back up? Its very rare it ever gives me the option too use them while I am knocked down even though it says when triggered it removes it. Also at times it seems when the skill says I am immune to cc(during the blood lust thing) it seems like i just get knocked down anyway(doesnt happen as often). Is the description wrong or what am i missing?
There are different types of CC (knock down, throw, choke etc), most skills only give immunity to certain ones

Your bloodthirsty (lunging stab) gives CC recovery against dazed (caused by regular attacks from heroes and certain units) and knocked down (caused by a poleaxe's push back, for example).
Fearless and steadfast (two overhead diagonal swings) is the same but it can also remove concussed (I believe that's from cannon shots? I should probably know that but well... I don't)

What were the greyhair buffs? Don't know about you but my favorite era of the game was reapers, modao, greyhairs, palace guard, cata era. Got to be the most balanced game state in my opinion.
grayhairs got better algorithm for weapons use and got several buffs to their final stand effects plus at charge end they activate last stand

Premium Account is a really important part of the game if you intend to play it long term. 30% more of everything that matters, as rewards for every game.
You can actually purchase the season units if you wanted to as well but it's very, very expensive. Tech tree units you have to grind.
i usually do a some of the quest and paid some that quite difficult or take a long time such as kill the outside bandit.

Edit: People have a good reason about adding more content if it was a shorter video. I agree but I would disagree that it's not out of place with different units or different map specific knowledge.

I tested armor for a bit and recorded results then compared to toughness results - in short yes I am using full toughness and I will explain why in a new guide :)

When all tooled up you should be able to reach approx 870 without even using armor stats :)

Out of interest, how long do you think it takes to record, edit, thumbnail and publish a YT video?
It's around 6-8 hours for a gameplay video but guides and informational videos take around 10-12.
I used to publish 2-3 a week but it just takes far to much time - imagine doing 30 hours work a week on top of what else is going on in your life... for like... $25 :)

I think it's luck a lot of the time, reasons for people subbing can be as arbitrary as they like your eyebrows, or, they don't like your hat. In the end I just went with 'what is the incentive to click on this video?' (infotainment, in my case) and there was really only one or two other serious CB content creators (in English) at the time as the game was very new so it was kind of a cornered market back then.
Its really hard to grow when you're small, for sure. UA-cam does not show new creators to many viewers and that's a fact.
When you get to your first milestone that you've set for yourself, the next question and challenge you'll face is... do I even want to keep going? Do I even want to keep learning about thumbnails? What about learning metrics, analytics, statistics and audience information? Do I want to invest a whole heap more time (and money!) into learning the next steps in editing and getting new software? Do I really want to keep spending all this time for little to no return?
Creators really have to love UA-cam and doing the work for fun because there sure as heck ain't much reward other than the enjoyment of it :)
@@KnightStalker a lot of compeition yea and us small youtubers it is very hard. Only those that abuse youtube for example those that make fake promotional comments make it. For example in smite community i make videos for only spl boosted youtubers make it. It is long story.. those that get on smitr championship. Because then people think these guys are the best. When in reality they intentionally lack competition because that brings them money and same 20 guys get handpicked by hirez...
