I have watched a lot of his vids lately. LIke Greg the hammer. Very knowledgeable reads a lot of books. I watched the Legion of Doom Dvd and they mention Eddie Sharkey. Honky Tonk man was the greatest intercontinental champion of all time. :D And a good wrestler.
. The championship was established by the then-World Wrestling Federation (WWF) on September 1, 1979, as a result of the WWF North American Heavyweight Championship being unified with an apocryphal South American Heavyweight Championship,[2] with Pat Patterson as the inaugural champion. It is the third-oldest championship currently active in WWE, behind the WWE Championship (1963) and United States Championship (1975), but the second-longest tenured championship, as WWE has only owned the U.S. championship since 2001. Although generally contested in the midcard at WWE shows, it has been defended in the main event of pay-per-views including WrestleMania VI, SummerSlam in 1992, the third and eighth In Your House shows, Backlash in 2001, and at Extreme Rules in 2018. It has been called a "stepping stone" to a WWE world championship.[3][4] Hope this helps
He was a great worker, and a heck of a heel. People loved to watch his matches hoping he’d lose the belt. Thinking back my friends and family loved booing Honky Tonk Man lol
A complete class act. He helped to train the Warrior. By being the fall guy to the Warrior,he propelled UW’s career, and did what was best for the WWF. This attitude is definitely lacking today in the world today.

Red Bastein..don't hear that name very often..wrestled some in Omaha when I was a kid..
Everyone talks about the Warrior squashing HTM in seconds, but Warrior also squashed Andre the Giant in a quick match also.
That's because Andre was in a lot of pain. His matches in the later years were meant to be short because he couldn't get through long matches
love this
be healthy and always happy
I miss you
Much Love and Respect to The Honky tonk Man
Honky is one of the most knowledgeable, articulate guys in wrestling that there is.
When i was 15 i saw UW using the ATM at the grocery store i was working. Yeah the dude was huge!!!
Nicely done always liked The Honkey Tonk Man
HTM was perfect heel. He was hilarious and probably would have been babyface in attitude era just because he was so entertaining
Who remembers when HTM and his teammate beat the the bushwhackers with their guitars? I remember them flopping around like fish out of water while they were getting wailed on with broken guitars!!!!
Shake rattle roll baby!
Honky Tonk Man...one of favorite bad guys as a kid. Love the fact he's still rocking the Elvis gimmick today.
