That last person you showed on the arrow bed is Bhishma Pitamah of the Hindu epic Mahabharata. This whole war scene is depicting the Mahabharata war fought between Pandavas and Kauravas. We know of Bhishma pitamah of Mahabharata who had the boon of ichha maranam meaning he can choose an auspicious day for his death.
So after being wounded in the battlefield he asked Arjuna to lay him on the bed made of arrows.
    Could it be that depiction?

Hi Praveen !!! Thank you!! Mahabharat - Bed of arrows - Was it Pitamah Bheeshma? He was struck on the 10th day and was waiting for Uttarayana to die. He laid on the bed of arrows for 92 days. My history is very weak. I am listening and learning some from other videos to educate myself. Is this the portrayal for the Kurukshetra war? wow!! I also learnt recently that Gangaputra Bhishma recited the Vishnu Sahasranama to Yudhishthira from this bed of arrows.

"Bed of Arrows" depicts the death of Bhishma, titular character of the Bhishma Parva, in the Mahabharata. Van Buitenen Translation is my primmer. Its a great video and the carvings are accurate. In Mahabharata rules were ignored at the later stages. The battle was supposed to be fought with certain rules like a a superior warrior won't fight with soldiers, no one can attack other warrior from behind, no teaming up to kill a certain person etc. These carvings show how the rules were broken by the end and how chaotic everything became.

If Indian & Cambodian governments do some excavations sure we will find missing link which connects Angkor Watt temple to India
No matter how much world ignores significance of Hinduism💪💪 Its powers will clear👊 fogs 👊and 👊narratives👊 created against Hinduism because Bhagvat Geeta itself says ""सत्यमेव जयते"" 💪💪means ""Truth prevails""💪💪

What is in it for the Cambodian government to invest on such investigations? Knowing the truth is one thing but the consequences of knowing the truth and handling it are bigger. Unfortunately, the masses (us humans) aren't saavy and mature to handle the truth. Hence, government puts a shroud over the truth. Hopefully, humanity matures as a whole as time progresses for such truths to be revealed.

Bro it is believed that the Mahabharata War was more like a World War . I guess present day Egypt might have joined forces with one of the two sides . The problem is that they called kingdoms with names that are not at all similar to their present day names . For example - present day Iran was divided into two kingdoms which were called Aswaka & Yavana kingdoms respectively.

its not bcs you see some cosmetic similarities that it means that these cultures were connected. imo its more probable that we are seeing convergent cultural evolution here. something that we can even see with animals and there are thousands of examples of this in cultures around the world.

    Bhishma!
The Mahabharata war was a World event. Who knows really where it took place. In Russian history, there is a great battle that took place on Kulikova Field = Kurukshetra

    • @ojaswisrivastava6479
      @ojaswisrivastava6479 3 роки тому

Man the Great Battle of Mahabharata is not the Kulikova field Battle . Both are very different from each other. The reasons behind the Kulikova field Battle are very different and even not comparable with the The Mahabharata Battle .
And the biggest difference is the timeline itself. Kulikova battle happened in 1380 and Mahabharata happened way earlier in 3067 B.C.E.
So both battles are totally different from each other and absolutely have no connection in that.

I have no doubt that these carvings depict the scene from Great war of Mahabharata..
In Mahabharata war, they have mentioned that Kings from all over the world participated.
E.g.1) Madraraj Shalya (मद्रराज शल्य) was from Misr i.e. Egypt.
    2) Shakuni was from Gandhar i.e. Afghanistan
    3) interestingly there is mention of King from Kamboja (Yes, modern day Cambodia) who is son of the "God of Rain "Varuna" himself". This King faught on behalf of Duruodhan.
The scene Showing "Man sleeping on the Bed of the Arrows is Bheeshma Pitamaha..
In Mahabharata War 2 important people (atleast) God beheaded. One was Dronacharya got killed by Dhrishtadyumna and Bhirishravya got beheaded by Satyaki. Two more people got beheaded were Alayudh and Alambush by Son Of Bhima i.e. Ghatotkach.
