    "Ok guys you really dont need to spend a lot of money. Just a socket kit and this small tool box and that's it...Now over here is my $500 tool box with $500 worth of tools." 😁

    JB Weld, Hook and Pick Set, Imperial and Metric nut and bolt assortment kits, Imperial and Metric Tap and Die Set, wire brushes, brass punches, Flexible 3/8 extension, Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Compression Tester, Air compressor, Angle die-grinder, Drill, 60-piece drill bit set,bench top lathe, bench top drill press, bench grinder with wire wheel, mig welder. The last 4 tools mentioned aren't really necessary, but I have had to use them many times. =) You should really have everything except the last 4. Otherwise, you will need to ship parts out to a machine shop.

    that was the perfect video!! Duct tape has saved my life! I was riding in the dunes on my 05 yz250 and took the number plates off and duct taped the airbox on the sides. I went for a ride and my rear wheel nut fell off haha, guess I forgot to tighten it but I was 15 ha. I ended up making a duct tape Nut and kept wrapping the end of the axle with the duct tape from my air box and was able to make it back to camp!

    Mite not be a bad idea to have a tap and die set. I have found it useful if you have a older bike. also if you ever make the mistake of cross threading or you need to do a helicoil to replace bed threads. also have a digital caliper for measuring clearances. Thanks for all of the informative videos. Great channel!

    I have a box about that same size that my dad gave me (had no use for it) so I filled it with everything... we pretty much have the same setup. wrench sets, screwdrivers, ratchets, ect. only thing I'd suggest adding is some electrical tools; wire strippers, voltmeter and puller tools. I got a motion pro fly wheel puller for about 20 bucks and I saw case splitters go for cheap too. btw i love your shop... soooo clean, must be nice lol Good videos, keep it up!

    Get a set of JIS screwdrivers for the Japanese dirt bikes.You see a lot of stripped out phillips screws on these all because a regular phillips screwdriver has been used.Vessel makes these and there are a couple more that make them

    I would say that is more than 200$ worth of tools lol. I do think you are spot on though. You can get away with a hand full of tolls to break the whole bike down. I use an old Keg for a tire stand. Never used duck tape on the bike, I prefer the electrical tape. Its crazy that since I got into dirt bikes my tools have expanded and I am now an expert on fixing my bike. You have to be when the bike shop charges 100$ for a valve adjustment and 300$ for a top end.

    • @DirtBikeChannel
      @DirtBikeChannel  8 років тому

      +Chris Luton (Mutiny5050) The first set of tools in the video wouldn't be much more than 200 or so to get you started. The stuff in the drawers are a lot more than $200 :(
