Another interesting video, Ken. Thank you. I like Baldwin Park except I don’t know that I could ever get used to their city rule to drive backwards. 🚙 4:10
I absolutely love that you created this video! I'm a New Yorker and we're definitely planning to move to Orlando in the next year or two and I NEED to be in a walkable neighborhood or at least have easy access to one. This made my day! 😊
another well produced video. You do the best videos Our realtor told us about Mt. Dora but we thought it was too far and had our hearts set on northern Clermont. Glad to see downtown got an honorable mention.
Trying to catch up on the UA-cam side. This is a really, really great, key informative video and one I’ll be keeping in a save folder…until you update it! There’s way too many Winter --- cities that are easy for the outsider to mix up! But now I have a better definition of Winter Park being a little more higher end (Bloomfield Hills analogy? It is in my head now.) Great info grouping and leaving in the “bloopers” is a nice touch. 🙂
For my Michigan people :) Winter park = Birmingham Winter garden = Plymouth Winter haven = Taylor Winter springs = Livonia Hope that helps and thanks for watching!!
We are coming down to Clermont next month from MA to look at neighborhoods and cities in the area, we actually are having coffee with one of your agents. This was super informative, my husband really wants walkable living. Definitely just added Mount Dora to the list!
These are great, but I also believe that there are areas around downtown that are worth mentioning. We moved to Ivanhoe Village from Atlanta a year ago and we love it! It’s super walkable with new shops, bars, and restaurants opening all of the time.
@@kenpozek We always walk since we are so close. I love that you can also walk up Virginia Ave to the bars and restaurants (and even to Fresh Market if you need pricey groceries lol).
Great information. As someone who used to drive to Disney from Mt. Dora, and now from Winter Park, it's interesting that with the 429 extension to Mt. Dora I take the same 40 minutes from Mt. Dora to Disney (via 429) that I take from Winter Park (via I-4).
Clermont, Winter Garden, & Winter Park are definitely nice walkable areas. Ken do you know of any restaurants/ cafes I can spend bitcoin at in Central Fl?
Ken, what happened with Lake Nona’s Laureate Park? I moved here from a car dominated suburb in Northern Virginia four years ago mainly because of Laureate Park’s walkability.
It’ll get there eventually. Just not there yet. I own in LP (as an investment) and am still very bullish on nona. 3-4 years from now it’ll be the “it” spot to live
I moved to Winter Park October ‘21 and absolutely love walking my neighborhood. FYI, WP (maybe Orlando in general) is a huge dog lovers community. I didn’t know my dog would love it so much! Appreciate the videos Ken.
SoDo here - everything is walkable here, Hospital, doctors, clinics, bars, restaurants, stores, luxury apartments, all within like 5 min or less from where I live. no need for a car here, almost. but also gay -friendly district here
Ehh, maybe from a realtor's point of view they are walkable but not really. The only neighborhood that truly is as close to walkable would be South Eola. You can do everything there and never leave the neighborhood. There is a publix, different types of shops, restaurants, parks, and work locations all within the boundary which you would never need a car. Thats not the case with Baldwin Park. Is someone living on Brady Ln in Baldwin really going to walk to the Publix or any of the restaurants? Doubtful. The cities you mention are just wrong. You can't really say that because a city has a main street that its walkable.
Would be interested to hear what you think is walkable downtown. I mentioned College Park at the end. I could’ve probably mentioned Thornton Park as well, but for the most parts, not super walk-able.
Thornton Park: Have you checked out Art after Dark. Really cool event with local businesses and outdoor drinking with local art vendors showcasing their work. Check it out
Curious where some of the "cool kids" are living and hanging out? Check this out ua-cam.com/video/OVX5cuHl0eY/v-deo.html
Walkable neighborhoods are important. Thank you for the video!

There’s a lot of people like you! Glad this helped. Thanks for watching 🙏🏼
Hey I’m the Lynx bus driver that saw you a few min ago. That was awesome meeting you 👍🏼 keep up the great work
Great seeing you man!

Hey thank you! Clermont is pretty great. Big fan of the future there
Love your video.
I really love Winter Park, Baldwin park and Audubon Park, but it seems they are flooded during hurricane?
What about Thornton Park / Downtown Orlando?

@@kenpozek Oh, I definitely have it now! :) Thanks!
4:12 I just happened to notice the cars all driving in reverse lol. Good shot just funny. This was a great topic for a video!
Haha! It’s hard out here driving in Orlando
Love it when you leave in those little moments of comments between you and camera man.
very helpful, it does limit my search... a bunch
I appreciate all the great information we get from your videos
Thanks for taking a moment to drop a comment. Keeps me going!

So awesome to hear. Excited that we’re helping :)
I was gonna comment on Winter Garden towards the end and you said exactly what I was gonna say, that it’s sorta walkable and also golf-kartable 😄
Great information! Thank you!

Heck yeah. Love Ivanhoe. I’m at the brewery and food all often. Curious, do you walk from home to the restaurants or drive?
@@kenpozek We always walk since we are so close. I love that you can also walk up Virginia Ave to the bars and restaurants (and even to Fresh Market if you need pricey groceries lol).
@@lizrodriguez3821 heck yeah! Love that. I did the paddle boarding on the lake last year. Ever since I’ve really enjoyed that area.

It’s made it so convenient!
Clermont, Winter Garden, & Winter Park are definitely nice walkable areas.
Ken do you know of any restaurants/ cafes I can spend bitcoin at in Central Fl?
This helped me decide to not come to Orlando lol. Having the closest things to you be like a mile walk away sounds terrible. Thanks!

Number 1 community in Orlando Dennis.

Huge Dog lover area for sure. Lots of pet friendly businesses
Surprised Thornton Park not included, is it just too small ?
Really enjoy the videos. Keep the content coming.
You know it. Thank you!
This was like a scene out of Tenet
Is Thorton Park like Hyde Park or SOHO districts of Tampa ?
Good look with the glasses.
Is Paramore walkable?

Like it 😍
Former Orlando resident 🙂
I would love to go back 💚
Someday 🏖 🌞 🌤
We’d love to have you back :)
love the mickey tee!
That old school Mickey tee!
I’m surprised by no Metro West or College Park.
College park was mentioned at the end. I wouldn’t consider MW walkable.
You prolly mean horizon west. Metro isn’t walkable
Thornton Park? 🤷♂️
4:11 Another unique feature of Baldwin Park is that everyone has to drive in reverse.😀
Lol it’s in the HOA docs
Downtown is a good option too
Some places are yep’
Once built out, hamlin town center will be walkable
As a lifelong New Englander, Mount Dora sounds amazing. 😂
😂😂😂
Check it out and let me know how close I am lol
Winter Haven is walkable Ken.
Would The Olympus be considered a walkable community or too small?
Prolly a bit too small. It’ll encourage biking/walking/etc, but I wouldn’t think it’s that traditional “walkable” community.

"Orlando's walkable neighborhoods"...............without including downtown Orlando. Interesting.

A case for Lake Eola could be made for sure. Especially if you’re an an apartment dweller. I wouldn’t consider colonialtown super walkable.
Thornton Park: Have you checked out Art after Dark.
Really cool event with local businesses and outdoor drinking with local art vendors showcasing their work.

Totally agree Thornton park could/should be on the list.
