    A week of staged responses that looks more like kata. They should bring in some actors or professional fighters or stuntmen to practice with what they will really face. Maybe get coach in eskrima. None of them looked intimidating... well maybe the instructor.

      They should conduct and showcase scenario-based training. I'm very sure they follow a list of movements just to be legally certified to use the baton.

    Recently on a travel trip a Netherlands lady told me she finds Singapore so safe that she wants she stay here. The safety we enjoy should never take for granted. Not even the country we were both visiting although that is already considered safe. I hope the strong laws on illegal stuff remains or even strengthened.

      I've heard some stories about border incursions from NS buddies. But you know la Officials Secrets Act. So it's mostly women who don't know about this lurking threat.

    All these youngsters will more or less resign after maybe two years.Singaporean don't like shift hours, have to work Saturday , Sunday and public holiday.Some join because due to it's fun.I think ICA should consider recruiting people after 40 years old age because they are more stable in their career.

      The bond is 5 years. You break the bond period, you will have to pay back the Ministry and will be blacklisted from applying again.

    Except we've seen the security in action on UA-cam... look it up. See how many guards it takes to handle one drunk guy.

    • @noproblematallmate
      @noproblematallmate Рік тому +8

      Because when you have the manpower, you want to limit risk of injuries to the drunk guy and yourself.
      Do you think the other guards should stand around and watch a 1v1 match? Even in MMA, 1v1 match can turn out both outcomes. Both competitors have the chance to lose.
      Furthermore, its trying to apprehend and handcuff not strike with punches and kicks. Its not so easy as you think. Punching and kick till your opponent die is much easier.

    • @alimfuzzy
      @alimfuzzy Рік тому

      @noproblem to your point... what do you think this video was?
      Also look up Singapore airport security, it is exactly that 5 security guys watch as one guy fails to handcuff him.
      Remember these are security, it's not just drunks they are meant to be trained for its dangerous people sometimes with weapons.
      I can only hope this is the first week of ongoing training or this is embarrassing.
