Hi padhu.. I am a big time fan of ur recipes..have tried so many of them turned out awesome.. So happy to see these cookies. I have a doubt. U have kept a batch of cookies on the cooling rack also inside the oven. I never knew it can be used for baking also. Can u pls explain.
Hi Harini - So happy to know that you love my recipes. Thank you so much. I feel so happy that you found Padhuskitchen useful. Regarding your doubt - It comes with the oven. I use it for keeping cake tin or cookies pan inside the oven and also as a cooling rack. Two in one. My oven is small size morphy richards.
Great recipe! Cookies turned out amazing. I added 2 tbsp of chickpea flour (based on some recommendations) and substituted cardamom powder with vanilla essence. But majorly followed your measurements :)
Hello Padubahen, I like your easy to make recipe and have made a few times cookies . They taste good and healthy. I wish to know if I can add Jowar flour also with Ragi flour in addition to wheat flour in this recipe. Please reply.
These cookies came out way too buttery for me. I could make out when I was creaming the butter and sugar together that the butter seemed in excess. I got a flat rectangular shape the size of the tray. Lol! With the remaining dough which was only 4 cookies, I added wheat flour and those baked well. They taste good though! :) I used half jaggery powder .
If the butter is too soft, it will happen. It should not be too soft. Too much sugar or butter can be the cause. If your dough is too warm, this can happen. We should refrigerate the dough in that case for 30 mins and then proceed to make cookies. Oven temperature also matters. If it is too low, the cookies will spread n melt.
Yes, you can. You can bake any cake or biscuits in cooker or kadai or pan. You can also check this www.padhuskitchen.com/2016/09/how-to-make-cookies-in-pressure-cooker.html
Maybe because that was posted years back. You can follow the video. I personally do not like to use baking powder much, so I must have reduced in the video. I want even kids to enjoy my dishes, so I avoid using unhealthy ingredients as much as possible.
@@jayetachoudhury8945 - Glad to know. You can even try without baking powder for baby next time. As we are adding ghee and mixing it well, it will not be too hard.
250 ml. I am using standard measuring cups and spoons for all my recipes. Check this post also www.padhuskitchen.com/2012/03/my-measuring-cups-and-measuring-spoon.html

My cookies got melted in oven. What i should do
If the butter is too soft, it will happen. It should not be too soft.
Too much sugar or butter can be the cause.
If your dough is too warm, this can happen. We should refrigerate the dough in that case for 30 mins and then proceed to make cookies.
Oven temperature also matters. If it is too low, the cookies will spread n melt.
Can I use ghee instead of butter ..and how much to use??

Hi country sugar means coconut sugar ? Can you share link where to buy
Country sugar means "nattu sakkarai". You get it in all grocery stores.
@@Padhus-kitchen I'm living in India 25 years and have never heard of this type of sugar. Can Khandsari be used?
@@leelasaraswat4662 -Desikhand in Hindi.
Poured hot melted jaggery. The dough became hard and cracks appear with too much oil. How can I make it better?
Follow as mentioned in the video. No need for hot jaggery.
Padma replies in another's question that sugars need to be powdered.
Instead of country sugar what can be used mam?
White sugar , brown sugar or powdered jaggery. Any sugar you use should be powdered.
Padhuskitchen thanks mam
