interestingly enough, wakuwaku, what anya says, actually means nervously excited, so she is kinda terrified of her parents but she sees it as more of an adventure to be overcome than something to run away from

Idk how you came to that conclusion but wakuwaku doesn't imply fear or terror, it's just a neutral onomatpeia for excitement or nervousness of any kind.

@@genderno7448 again, the word is used to communicate a pretty wide range of emotions. It comes down to context to know which ones, and in the context of most situations in which Anya says it, she's not scared. That's why I don't understand how you concluded that she is a bit scared (kinda terrified you said, which is worse) of her parents.

Literally lies, too. Complacency, that's what rots the brain. Well, metaphorically anyhow, otherwise we'd have a lot more corpses.
Another goofy one I hear often (usually to dissuade kids from playing games) is "blue light damages your eyes". While this is a tad more believable, I am relatively sure this is also lies. Not 100% though so don't quote me on that one.
Stuff like this gets used all the time by parents now that I think about it... Mostly on children who don't know any better. I get why but it's still dumb in my opinion. In fact, this may be why we got fairly ignorant people in such high quantities in the world. Also not 100% sure on this, don't quote this either.

@@ethanhostetler4007well lets not forget early tvs espically color ones were know for being RADIOACTIVE to short degress like microwaves and in some cases DID cause brain damage with parents exaggerating how common it was and still think its true despite the fact we have made tvs safer since
@@ethanhostetler4007 I find it so hard to believe that blue light damages your eyes as much as people say it does. Sure, using my phone at night means I don’t have a great sleep schedule, but it’s not like I’m going blind because of it. The only reason I have glasses is bc almost everyone in my family has glasses, even my grandparents, so clearly blue light can’t be the issue 100% of the time. People really need to stop exaggerating
Anya is the only actual child I've ever seen in any Japanese media, not just anime. And by that I mean, she actually acts like a legit 6 year old.
There are some somewhat realistic portrayals of children in anime: Mirai no Mirai, Crayon Shinchan, and My Neighbour Totoro, to name a few.
Which is the funnier because she is actually 4yo (She lied to Loid to be adopted)
@@Vender02 Yep! She pulled a classic orphan Annie move. She can be perceived by adults around her as a dumb 6 year old, but really she's an exceptionally mature 4 year old with psychic powers and high IQ.
Is Tsumugi from Amaama to inazuma considered realistic?

Miri Unasaka from Buddy Daddies acts exactly like some of the kids at the kindergarten I'm working at, I think Konohamaru and his friends from the og Naruto series were also on point in terms of personality and behaviour, Natsu and Takeru from Haikyuu have very little screen time but they were also realistic, and all the kids from Gakuen Babysitters.
Her sense of danger is way off because she's a literal kid 💀

Which is a flimsy argument even if it's correct as everyone is different and trying to average out a toddlers sense of danger for comparison is gonna go horribly
@@thegameplace3748 not really, it can be taught by parents but they really don’t know. That’s why they end up running into the street after a ball, jump off furniture, climb on everything, why we need to lock away cleaning chemicals and have to be careful with items that get hot. Kids have no real sense of self preservation, it can only seem that way because parents teach their kids that certain things are dangerous, but often they just have to learn the hard way.
Love seeing people talk about how little kids having a good sense of what’s dangerous as if they won’t run out into the street every other opportunity

I'd say Anya's experimentation is an added factor that skewed her sense of danger. Kind of like "I experienced worse, what else could happen?" And the reason she looks up at Loid and Yor is probably her yearning of belonging. Yet like Yor and Loid, she decided not to reveal anything.
It was shown in the earlier episodes that Anya was experimented on to force awaken her pyschic powers. Like the dog's future sight. Altho the recent manga chapters hasn't expanded on Anya's backstory yet.
Really? I thought the reason she looked up to them is because they're taller than she is.
But in all seriousness, for someone who isn't the age they say they are, she's pretty intelligent and, honestly, I think the reason why she watches that tv show in particular isn't because it's just on to rot her brain, it's the life she's literally living, her foster father is a spy, her mother is an assassin, I doubt any of this came up until she was adopted by Loid.

@@omegaheartless She knew the show immediately after being adopted though, so she likely seen the show in the previous times she was adopted. And perhaps it's not the spy life that endeared her to Loid and Spy Wars, but rather an exiting Life in general.

Well it’s not JUST the tv warping her perception of danger let’s not forget that Anya is literally a government experiment and underwent inhumane conditions and cruel testing it’s hard to imagine that that didn’t mess with her sense of what’s safe and what’s not at all

I dont think she feel anymore danger..not since her family are the most dangerous of them all.
I think the bomb/hostage arc in the manga really exemplified how well suited she is to be the child of Loid and *Yor. Her understanding of the underground world, both from fiction and her family - despite being minimal - really helped her take a handle on the situation (in addition to having mind reading powers).

To be fair though, she only managed to pull through because she also had Bond with her. And she was lucky enough that she even managed to encounter Bond on chance.

I think OP is refering to the terrorists who kidnapped Anya and her classmates while they were going on a school trip to a museum (in the manga). Bond wasn't present at that point so Anya had to rely on herself and those around her.

Considering anya's adoptive mom is Yor, and Yor is an assassin capable of killing without hesitation, yeah, Anya is in good hands... Especially since Yor already embraced her maternal instincts.
All she needs now is a boost in confidence in being a good wife, which she already is tbh, and all will be well with her.
I remember there's a fan theory that Anya loves watching TV because she can't read the minds of the characters in it, making it exciting.
That... actually makes sense. Things get boring when you can predict anyone's smallest move or thought.
That is so cute and sad at the same time, she probably feels so refreshed not knowing everything.

She's pretty capable, between her mind reading powers, her unyielding bravery, and her extreme luck. Combined with her actually pretty decent deductive skills, she's an extremely capable 3 year old. the series often has her be the keystone in why missions go right, because she knows what the mission needs, and can guide her absurdly capable family on their way to bring peace, and keep them from being discovered along the way. she doesn't just do this because of bondman. She does it because she is an extraordinary little girl, just as amazing and capable as the rest of the family in her own way.

Where was it revealed what her probable age is? We know it is younger than 6 but that doesn't have to be by a lot. Although a slightly wider gap would explain why Anya has trouble with school. Not just because she associates studying with the experimentation she underwent but because she is developmentally at least a year behind her peers at school. Making the fact she can do as well as she does and can figure out such clever ways of doing things on her own a sign she is actually pretty intelligent.
As long as Yor draws breath Anya is protected and may God have mercy on any who would harm Anya because Yor will not.
It makes sense. Anya’s a mere child after all. Plus, after being forced to study in all her life, she probably craves for something exciting.
In Anya’s defense…….having attractive and cool parents like Loid and Yor really is pretty neat. It may be a double-edged sword but when you have such parents who has endure hardships care for you, it’s pretty much worth it. Plus, Anya has proven that she can help her parents too, like in the incident with the dog terrorists.

bro, Lloyd put himself in a hole, he can never get out, Lloyd was the answer to a prayer for both Anya and Yor.
if the mission ends, and he leaves, Anya will eventually self-delete cuz of the trauma of been rejected by multiple families in the future, and Yor will go deep into a depression, to the point her brother will just label him an enemy of the state.

This is probably because Anya never had a proper parental figure (or at least not one we know of) to teach her what is dangerous so she had to rely on her observations like on the tv show. She was sheltered and couldn’t properly experience life and couldn’t learn through any experience’s because she never had any. I hope later in the show she will learn those differences and learn to mature with her new parental figures. It’s something I will have to look forward to.

I feel like anyone sense of danger is off as a kid, or at least I do.
When I was a kid I would have no problem jumping of a flight of stairs and do a roll landing, I'm not afraid of a fight, I'm not afraid to climb a 3 meters tree with no safety equipment and only rely on my hands and feet, have no fear of height and a lot of things.
But as I grow older, the more I became afraid of many things, I grow to be more careful of how I'm doing things and what kind of things I'm gonna do.
I certainly can't climb a 3 meter tree now, I'm scared I'll fall
