Just tried on a large fox proframe and M/L TLD Stage the fox helmet was snug on my head with the cheek pads needing to be bumped up to the large set. The TLD was a little tighter fitting but not by much. I could get a haircut and it still would fit, but when I went to take it off my ears almost came off with it. Such a shame I liked the TLD in the grey camo and was ready to buy it there and then but not keen on ripping out one of my 20 ear piercings. Considering the XL Fox helmet was like standing in a hall I'm sure the Medium would be ear ripping for me.
Hi Dan, what is your experience with this helmet? I have dreadlocks myself and it is a big struggle to find helmet which fits. It would be great if you can share your opinion here. Cheers!
Haha great question Mimo, is can definitely be a chore finding a helmet big enough. For my full face, the largest and comfiest helmet I've found is the Bell Full-9, which is available in XXL. If you don't want the expensive carbon one, they also make their Transfer-9 in XXL. As for my half shell, I've used both the largest TLD A1, which is now available as the A2, and the Bell Super, although the A1 fit a bit better. Here is a link to the A2, which now has MIPS (the A1 I had did not, that's why I went to the Super). www.fanatikbike.com/products/troy-lee-designs-a2-mips-helmet-2017?variant=34684529731 Let me know if you have any more Qs. Great summary thank you! I`m currently not searching for true DH helmet and have an open face one. I just want to add some extra protection for my Bike park/all mountain rides. Doing my homework Fox Proframe popped up. I can see that inside pads can be changed to personalize the fit. How do you feel about the Proframe? did you have a chance to try it? How does it fits? Isn't chin guard too close to your chin? Thank you! Mimo
Its look same compare to fox v1 motocross helmet, but with all that cutout air vent, my question is, that proframe is the same dimension outer shell compare to fox v1?
Hi Alejandro, The Proframe's chinbar is not removable, no. If you're looking for that feature check out the Bell Super DH, which I did a review on in this video: ua-cam.com/video/ptN1CLy9ocM/v-deo.html&lc=Ugx-FukfkrUAbR2spk14AaABAg Cheers, Dan at Fanatik
It is when you hit something then if you are unfortunate one side may snap off leaving the chin guard pivoting on a piece of strengthening wire and it could be possible for the broken side to rupture your artery in your neck. Just saying.
*Works great. I especially like the grinding / cutting mode and the off mode⛑️ **allabout.wiki/Pink** Be sure to turn it back to welding mode before striking an arc, or else - flash burn. . .The only down side is the head band. Is is cheap, but I understand standard head bands will fit, so I will probably upgrade the head band.I had an old self darkening hood that worked, but I thought I was going blind because I could not see the puddle.*
How do you remove the visor in case of damage and where can you buy the replaceable foam? I wish they had an oversize foam since the helmet might not be small enough for a very small head.
I do NOT recommend a helmet for the slight impact of the crack. it is well ventilated, light, but I do not recommend the quality-price ratio, it leaves desirable disappointments, P.S [DH certified, say those from FOX] The damage is in my pocket, I will go to TROY LEE STAGE or another serious and quality brand
Although it is downhill certified, I personally would still run a full DH helmet for park days. They are just more substantial, from the chin bar to the helmet itself. Maybe that's just me being paranoid though! Best, Dan at Fanatik
I bought this a couple months ago and I love it! Would highly recommend it
Does the sun visor actually help?

Seth's bike hacks sent me here. I really want this helmet!!!

I'm seeing it has a round silver button on each side. Does that mean the front is removable?

I want one
Intake "vents" not "valves." A valve can open and close.
Thanks for the correction, and thanks for watching!

Would you recommend it for bmx?
If it's at the pump tracks yes. If its for street no
For a bmx track or pump track yes and Sell a red is right, not for street 👍

I had the same question. I can't find a quality light full face to fit my peanut noggin. Had to return the IXS Trigger FF today.
Does go pro camera fits?
Where can i get it in India Gujarat
Hi Gaurab, I'm not sure where you can find this in India. Go on Fox's website and see what their international distribution is!
@@FanatikBikeCo thanks
Do you see anything inappropriate about using this helmet for BMX?
Not at all! I think that'd be a great use for it!
Cheers, Dan at Fanatik
I use it for BMX
Integrated Integrated Integrated

also usable for dh?
