- Dr. Kevin Ross claims to have cracked a code to bring back your taste and smell if you lost them after getting COVID-19. The Tempe chiropractor studied allergies for years and says his quick trick is just a concept of what he's learned.
My wife and I just tried this technique, I put my hand over my heart and my index finger on my tongue then she flicked me on the back of the head repeatedly. It didn't fix my sense of smell, but my wife said it's the most fun she's had in years. Thank you doctor for saving my marriage.

Tried this like literally 30 minutes ago and I haven't been able to smell and taste going on 8 months now. Guys, I have had a sinus and ear infection for about a week and unable to smell and taste for three days and I can attest with everyone in the comments that it is extremely depressing. I could feel my mental health declining. Losing two senses at the same time is rough. After watching the video, I had my husband do this on me and the first time it didn't seem to do anything or even the second, but I applied some extra pressure to the forehead and even flicked myself pretty sternly after trying again and IT WORKED. Within a couple seconds, I looked at my son and said "DID HE POOP?" My husband checked, and sure enough, he had. I have never been so happy to change a dirty diaper in my life!! Keep trying this trick if it hasn't worked yet! Have faith! He is able! GOD IS GOOD!

I lost my smell 4 times....The first two times it had got back after a week...third time in March/2021 I lost my smell partially and I discovered I got Parosmia...though it was not recovering completely.....but in the starting of new year on 9 January I lost my smell and I tested COVID positive......Earlier my food smell was OK but now it has changed and very weak...Has there any possibility to regain my sense of smell as normal way ????

I had done this chiropractor procedure twice and also immediately started smell therapy when I had lost my smell was told to use lemon, eucalyptus, rose, clover and smell them often at least twice a day for 20 seconds to retrain my brain and it actually worked! I thought this was ridiculous but, since I have no sense of taste or smell at all I was willing to try. Immediately after I could smell three of the items that I laid out to test before and after. As the night has gone on, a couple of hours after I am able to smell more things and can actually taste a couple of things now. Surprisingly this worked for me. It wasn’t all at once tho, it’s been progressing.
Worked for me! Tried seeing if I could smell a few spices in front of me-nothing. Now after trying this out [on myself] I can smell every single one at about 75% of how I feel I originally could. Very much appreciated!

Fortunately I saw this video last night and I tried this method after getting my lunch in the morning.

This sounds crazy AF, but it actually worked for me. Had Parosmia for two months and just tried this. Not 100% back to normal, but I would say 75% improvement in minutes after struggling for those two months. Amazing. Thank you

@@jojogarcia5491 yes... Mine was more like chemical smell and most things tasted like gasoline, or something awful. Peanut butter tasted rancid and eggs were horrific. I did the smell training with the oils as well, but nothing worked like this simple thing. I was so skeptical, but since I had nothing to lose, I figured just try it. Yes, it is a horrible condition and I was trying everything I could. I’m around 75-80% back. I still have a hint of the chemical smell and taste periodically. I also do the Flonase one spray a day. Had smell and taste back to normal within a month and a half, and then everything started to smell foul. Like a burned rubber, a chemical of some sort. Tried this today and the stench went away. Things smell normal again.
The experience was short lived, so I tried it again. Worked a second time too.
I guess it has to be repeated daily for a while until things resolve. I've also noticed that some person mentioned here about applying pressure when putting your finger above the nose. Gonna try that tomorrow, since I'm cautious not to overdo it today.

I've lost most of my smell for 6 months now. Although the last 3 days, I think it has improved a little. Idc this looks bizarre and crazy but as soon as I get home my boyfriend shall be doing this on me. It’s Been a month and two weeks I feel so depressed. On the second week with it I was able to smell my perfume a little hint. I can smell my perfume and my candles and everything so I say it’s 50/60. I can taste some of my food but not all of it.

I can smell horrid things… Like that metal fertilizer smell when they put it down and strong colones. But I can walk into a restaurant and only get hints of smells there.

I get the weird phantosmia thing (phantom smell) and this worked the first time! A couple days later and I had forgotten all about the smell. But a month or so later and it’s back so I am doing another reboot tomorrow when the hubby wakes up. Although I don’t have issues with taste, I went ahead and did both. I thought it sounded crazy, but it’s free, harmeless, no scary drugs. Try it, the worst thing that can happen is...nothing...as in, it doesn’t work for you.

This works!! I am currently sick. On day 5, I lost my sense of taste. Everything tasted like nothing. The next day, I noticed my sense of smell was impaired. Then, I found this video and did what it said for two days. My smell came back right away, and food went from tasting like nothing to tasting extremely salty. The 2nd day I did it, my taste improved significantly. I have been able to taste for two days now. It doesn't hurt to try it! I hope it works for you too!

I had Parosmia last week and almost couldn’t eat anything because of this. I was depressed af! I found this video and tried this. I had a headache the next morning (not sure why) and 2 days ago I woke up and it’s back to normal (not 100% normal but probably 90%). Sounds like a miracle! I thought it'll last for a couple of months 😭 raw onion and oil still smell disgusting to me but I can eat fried food again even tho they cook with onion/garlic. I don't know if it’s because of this treatment or any other things that I just don't realize during the healing process. I only took medicine when I had anosmia but I stopped when I developed parosmia. I can't take any medicine because I didn't eat!!! My anosmia was only last for 2 days. Hi. Am on day 8 of isolation and desperate to eat since am recovering with ED and not having taste or smell has made it extremely hard for me to eat. This worked for me, I would not say 100%, but about 35% of my taste is back (within 5 minutes of doing it) and thanks to it I was able to finish a meal today. I was so skeptical but thought no one can see me do it so why not. I seen from other comments that it can unlock more with time, but I am soooo thankful for at least the little bit I've gained thanks to this.

I really hope this works bc I’ve had Parosmia for over 7 months now and my depression is at an all time high. Overwhelmingly rancid odors now fill ALL of my most comforting smells (kids, husband, showers, fruit…EVERYTHING) …I’ve never cried more on a daily basis.

Edit: It did work the day I tried and for 2 weeks after that. But my paransomia is back! However, it's not as intense as it was before. But I was glad to finally smell things how they used to for those two weeks. It reinforced that : 1) One day I will be able to smell things normally, 2) There isn't a permanent damage to the olfactory area in my brain.
Just knowing this has brought so much relief.

@@raqibulhasan4351 dust ,pollen, mold, pet dander, cockroaches, certain weeds and leaves. These are just my environmental allergies. Then I’m also sensitive (causes less severe reactions but still a reaction) to bleach, paint, and intesticides.
Other than that I’m allergic to seafood and certain meds. But what caused my sense of smell to dissipate were my environmental allergies and my sensitivities. Just continually breathing it in and not being able to afford my allergy shots made it worse. I had allergy shots from age 5 up to age 14 then my parents couldn’t afford it anymore so basically as I got older the treatment reversed and I noticed the loss of smell by the age of 16.

I saved this video over a month ago when I had lost my smell due to covid. I had it in the back of my brain but never in a million years thought it would work (despite all the comments saying it had). I watched it again yesterday and did what he said and had my husband "flick" me on the back of the head LOL. Right before I said "there's no way this is going to work!!" I lost my taste and smell 14 months ago. I have tried everything. Just happened on this video tonight. I did it and right now I can smell some essential oils and the false smell that always persisted seems to be gone. If this actually worked it's a miracle! Hopefully it will still be working tomorrow.

I just tried this, and could smell and taste like normal, after 5 months of nothing. I hope this lasts. (Note : I had tinnitus for almost 15 years, and even that is almost gone(better by at least 95%) Weird, and wonderful!!! I am normally very skeptic of any of these wonder methods.

@@alvalosfranklin1785 I should have updated, I got them back day 6 fully and no problems since. I normally lose my senses with a sinus infection so losing it due to COVID wasn't a problem. I just know when I'll get them back with a sinus infection. I wasn't too sure this go round but thankfully, that was only the worst part of it.
