Thank you so much! Yes it definitely requires some patience but at the same time I find it incredibly calming. I’m fact stitching full coverage pieces requires me to think less so I enjoy it so much more than other types of stitches.

Absolutely wonderful to see you back. Like many have commented, you were the first flosstube I watched and got me hooked! I can't wait to see more. I've often wondered about you and so glad you're happy and living life to the fullest. I'm ashamed to say whilst watching your flosstube I remembered I too, had started up on the rooftop but haven't worked on it for years. I think Artecy now has similar ones. I also thought of Thea Gouverneur and scoured her website - she has similar ones but not quite like this one. I will be swapping that design out for something else instead because I don't want to be breaking any copyright rules. Happy stitching.

The one with hydrangeas makes me think about Théa Gouverneur. She has some designs of hydrangea on black background. But i'm not sure it's her design.

I found out that the hydrangeas design is actually a retired design from Anchor so therefore I'm unable to purchase it. I'll actually be swapping it out now for something else as I don't want to be breaking any copyright laws. Thea Gouverneur has some lovely designs too, but nothing jumped out at me quite like this one did. Hopefully Anchor will decide to reintroduce the design one day. Happy stitching.

@@pattysmith9266 Thank you Patty. My son works in retail, so it was only a matter of time before he caught it and passed it to me. Now the government have removed all isolation requirements it just allows people to easily pass it in to others. Hopefully you can continue to keep it at bay, my experience wasn’t very nice but at least it was short lived.

The Christmas one you are doing with the house. How weird is this, I have just been to my aunties and she has a 1000 piece puzzle called midnight delivery and it's identical to this but with santa on the ground.
Thank you so much Nicola, it's so great to be back! Yes I think the Unicorn surprised a few people - photo's alone just don't do her justice. Actually I'm not surprised about the jigsaw puzzle. Here in Australia we have a craft magazine that gets delivered, called Fox Collection, and in there they have a huge range of jigsaw puzzles to choose from, among other types of craft supplies. Quite often I see puzzles of cross stitches that people are currently doing or ones I've seen for sale. Artecy, who is now the company that are selling the christmas house design actually have 3 christmas house designs in total and I'm pretty sure I saw one of them with Santa on the ground - so maybe it's that one. Great video. I like your idea about doing an unboxing. I have a Gold Dimensions kit that I am picking away at but I worry that I won't have enough thread. Makes me feel anxious.
Thank you Sandra. I think that’s a perfectly normal feeling… After all it’s not like we can pop down the shop and just buy more if we run out. I know when I did my very first Gold Dimensions that was my worry too, but I ended up with quite a bit left over. But I can see how it would be very easy to accidentally use too many strands of a colour which wouldn’t have been allowed for in the kit. I’ve started making notes of things to discuss, so hopefully you won’t have to wait too long for that video. Thanks for watching 😍

Glad to see you back. As far as reviews, I take them with a grain of salt. Accidents happen when kits are produced so yeah some items can be missed. You just have to bite the bullet and jump in. Now as far as the directions, that also is subjective. What’s easy for one can be more difficult to another. So you just have to go with it

The Up on the roof top by tilton crafts. Although Tipton craft’s discontinued and the chart, Artecy did sell calling it Christmas House, exactly the same. I bought mine there. Whether it’s still available I’m not sure. Think they sell the other houses different themes too. I was so pleased to find the chart.

I just checked out the Artecy website (thanks for that!) and considered repurchasing it again from there as my Tilton Crafts pattern is a paper pattern. I've had no end of trouble trying to get Pattern Keeper to read it and I've simply given up now and just photographing a page at a time and uploading to Pattern Keeper that way - it's not ideal and means I can't park the threads the way I want to, but it will do. Problem with the Artecy digital download is it's a different completed size to my Tilton Crafts one so that means they've charted it differently and I'm not willing to take the risk seeing as I've already started it and now onto Page 3. I am, however, very excited to see that Artecy have 2 other houses in the series - so who knows, I might just have to stitch one of them next!

You did I’m Jane!! Lol I’ve dug out the stocking I want to do. Can’t think 🤔 now what it’s called. Santas got finger to mouth 🤫looking through window. I’m also kitting up new haeds as got lots of tips from my clients. So when I finish one of mine I will have 2 kitted ready to go. I loved ginger Gerald’s Henry the Vlll, so he’s ready to go, and a Lisa Parker purr holmes design. But think I’m gonna start stocking soon. Just need lots of Xmas smalls for decorating with!
I didn’t know that re sizes? Mine from Artecy is 550w x 397h. But love the other houses they do! Slightly different Christmas colours designs. But no I wouldn’t want to chance it. Yours is coming on a treat. Mines calling to be worked on!

My Up On The Rooftop is 425W x 303H so as you can see there's a huge difference there - we're not talking about a few stitches but over 100 in width difference alone and nearly 100 in height. Not worth the chance as you say.

I really hope that Anchor decide to re-release it one day, but until then I'll be swapping that design out for something else instead. I definitely got caught out purchasing that and I regret it now. Your wip is almost convincing me to do the original version rather than trying to colour convert. Instagram just does not do Fairy Whispers justice! I had no idea how large it was 😮 It was so good to visit with you again 💜

Welcome Back! I’m just curious to know, where does your beautiful full coverage Dragon that you stitched a few years back that I watched your progress and finish on, hang now? It turned out wonderful and I’ve gone back to your videos a few times to show a few people that were interested and they were always amazed to see it.
Thank you so much Dorothy, it's so great to be back. I'm sad to admit that Blue Dragon hasn't yet found a permanent place in my new home. He's in my craft room waiting for me to be happy with the planning of the room (I've completely changed it around several times over the last few years!) before he gets hung. I've begun a major cleanup of unwanted items this weekend, so hopefully it won't be too long now before he gets hung and can be enjoyed properly. Happy stitching.
Carolyn!! Love the new name and love seeing you again! I want to know, out of the last 6.5 years, how many times did you consider recording again, and did you ever get to a point where you had everything planned out to talk about but just ended up not going through? I took a hiatus from flosstube during all of 2020 and early 2021 and I probably tossed back and forth recording again over a dozen times in that time frame. What finally made you decide that now is the time to come back? :)

I considered coming back many times but just really struggled to find the time, and when I thought about how much I had to show and how I was actually going to put it into plan, it all got so overwhelming and I put the thought aside for another day.
Awhile back I received a comment stating that I owed my subscribers an explanation for my absence and that upset me quite a lot. I had been through a lot and the last thing I wanted was to have to tell everyone about it. I thought that comment was rude and unnecessary. Now I’ve had time to reflect, I can understand that people were probably wondering what happened- one day I was doing videos and the next day I vanished. So I decided a brief explanation would be ok and would hopefully satisfy everyone. I also got some advice from some close stitching friends to not focus on the overwhelming stuff and just start fresh again from the re-introduction video. I took that onboard and decided to do that, but I will also revisit what I’ve done in the meantime over the course of a few videos because many people have asked. If I do it stages it won’t be so overwhelming.
Having a small work break over Christmas and New Years felt like the perfect time to start fresh and here we are…..

I never realized from the instagram pictures just how big the unicorn one was! I love your rotation plan. Never stitched a biscornu before but have a few patterns in stash. So glad to have you back!

That's why I love Flosstube so much because there's nothing like seeing projects live on screen. Biscornu's are fun to create, just need concentration... hope you decide to tackle one some day.
