    I’ve got the same boat. It’s a crappie fishing beast. I love it after running it hard for 3 years. Only thing I’d change is back layout is not really good for long lining or trolling. Perfect up front though. Tough boat and built well.

    • @MColtOutdoors
      @MColtOutdoors  Рік тому

      I haven't done much trolling in this rig. When I troll its usuall for stripers. I just put 2 rods and run deep diving crank baits. I haven't done much crappie fishing, but I have some friends that do well on Santee, but they're using live scope, too.

      I honestly don't remember. I store the boat in a different location, or I would go snap a picture of it for you. I may have put the prop info in another comment in this video. The dealer chose the prop from previous boats he had sold. He knew the correct prop for the rig.

      Thanks for your reply. The boat is 6500 rpm wide open and running 47mph. About the same speed as yours. But it looked like you were at 6000rpm.

    How is taking the boat on and off the trailer with the duck bill?..and how do you like the led lights in the front also?

    • @MColtOutdoors
      @MColtOutdoors  Рік тому

      This boat is extremely easy to launch/ load by myself. I really don't use the leds much. I don't really see much help when I'm running. I mostly use them for putting out duck decoys and bass fishing at night.

    What is with the depth spiking? I think it read 741 ft deep at one point.

    • @MColtOutdoors
      @MColtOutdoors  3 роки тому

      I haven't messed with the CHIRP feature on the helix 7 yet but every depth finder I've ever had would jump up like that at full speed. I think the chirp allows you to run about 20mph and still read fish marks and accurate depth but I haven't really researched it. . I may have to get a different transducer though. Again, I'm really not sure because it is a feature I wouldn't use much. I just like to know the depth I'm in while fishing.

    How much room do you have with the 60” beam? I can’t decide if I want a 2072 SeaArk FX or the War Eagle 961 Blackhawk

    • @MColtOutdoors
      @MColtOutdoors  3 роки тому

      I haven't measured it, but I have plenty with the 961. I'm not famliair with the SeaArk though. I usually don't put a seat on the front deck when bass fishing and i have a lot of space up front for casting and flipping.

  • @nated2197
    @nated2197 3 роки тому

    Hey man I’m considering this same boat. I primarily bass/pan/catfish and I’m wondering how you have liked or disliked the lack of under deck rod storage? It’s the primary thing keeping me from pulling the trigger 🤔

    • @MColtOutdoors
      @MColtOutdoors  3 роки тому +1

      I hate it. Lol. Really, the only problem I've had with this boat is rod storage. They have rod holders in the console and on the leaning post, but I fish mostly in cypress trees and I can't use them. The rods will stay in the trees. I bought this boat as a "do it all" boat as far as hunting and fishing, so I have some give and take mentality. Rod storage is definitely an issue for me. If I were primarily fishing, I would have to get a boat with better rod storage. That's just my opinion, I don't like my rods getting beat up in the bottom of the boat.

    Ok I worked here, DO NOT BUY ANY BOAT FROM WAR EAGLE if you want a quality boat, if you want proof of shitty craftsmanship simply tear your decking out and check out your weld seems because holy shit I saw some nasty stuff get hidden, half the shop does dope on break and I can't say I blame them considering as a SKILLED TRADESMAN they will only offer to pay you as much as mcdonald's would so no one really gives a f@$k that is putting your boat together, if you want REAL QAULTITY go check out a HAVOC OR SEARK boat made in the same area of arkansas but they actually pay their workers and don't skate shit past qaultity control just to meet qouta, YOUR WELCOME IN ADVANCE
