Great class, Professor. Sharks definitely needed that win for morale. I look forward to the next one. Go Sharks!

I was at the game tonight. Lots of Pens fans in attendance. Nice relief to get the win. I wonder if the Pens realize they're staring down the barrel of a rebuild very soon?

I imagine they are aware. Knowing Pittsburgh, they’ll probably luck out and draft a generational talent day 1 of the rebuild haha

Bet you’re right, they’ll be like the Green Bay of the NHL. Farve, Rodgers, Love = Lemieux, Crosby, ???

@@justinpalumbo2447I wouldn’t say love is a home run just yet

Excellent class, Professor. Another player claimed off waivers? Wut? Haven't the Sharks learned their lesson with Goodrow?

I actually went to this game. I feel the need to point out that Pittsburgh also played absolutely terribly throughout the first but especially the second period. Yes they out shot the sharks in the first but they had just constant giveaway after giveaway after giveaway. I was actually sitting in a big group of penguins fans and they were just screaming at the ice every 30 seconds because the penguins would make another stupid giveaway and I was just chuckling along

Oh absolutely, the Penguins definitely looked pretty rough themselves at times this game

    Hey Professor,
Yeah, I think the difference is really the size and caliber of talent on Florida was night and day compared to Pittsburgh. We just couldn't handle them down low at all. I am cutting this short because my keyboard is acting up. Delay of like 3 seconds so catch you later man.

Great lecture, Professor Hockey! Based on my casual observation, Sharks might be half way in their rebuild. They probably need at least 2 top 6 forwards and 2 top 4 defensemen and fill the rest with free agents. Grier has a lot of work left.

I think they may only need maybe 1 top 6 forward depending on how guys like Musty or Chernyshov turn out. Defense though, a lot of work to be done there

I mean long term the D has Dickinson, mukhmadullin, Thrun, Thompson, cagnoni, walman, liljegren
Not saying these players will all work out or that they don’t need to add one or two more to that group, but I do think there’s the start of something good there

I actually liked the “grit” that liljergren showed in the game. He took 2 penalties (one being the penalty shot) that could’ve resulted in a goal had he not acted. In my opinion, those were necessary penalties, and I’m glad he took them

Thoughts on Thompson? I really, really want him to stay up long term.

Solid game. Depending how long Rutta is out and how soon Ceci is traded (assuming that happens), he could stay up.

Celebrini cooked Crosby in the face off circle tonight therefore our lord and savior Mack Celebrini will be better than overhyped bratty Connor Bedard (who couldn’t beat Crosby on face offs) 🦈

Well Celebrini was 37% on the draw tonight, but he did win the opening Faceoff against Crosby which was nice
