Let's observe the effects of Sodium polyacrylate and water. Sodium polyacrylate can absorb it's own weight 300x over making it an amazing chemical to aid in water cleanups. What would you use it for?

That's the bubble baff shit.I knew it was as soon as I saw the opposite reaction. That's so cool how people make that.Meaning Bubble baff takes like 1 min or less to make for an entire bath.Seems fairly simple for something so complex.

This is fantastic. We literally just did an experiment to make fake snow using sodium polyacrylate. I’m going to try adding salt and seeing if I can reverse the process. Thanks for posting this.

i remember a similar thing from when i was younger. it was done in a product called Jelly Baff, i believe. it made bath water solidify and turn a different color. When bath-time was over, some granules poured into the mixture reverted the process.

That's not a chemical reaction, is it? Polyacrylate stays as polyacrylate but just absorbs more water. No chemical change has happened here, right?

not sure exactly how it works but i no for a fact it does not change the freezing point, its much more likely that its a polar molecule that attracts the water but it has some sort of structure or something to allow it to solution. again dont quote me on this i probably got this somewhat wrong but im 100 percent sure its not deeling witht the freezing point

Syrup that is mixed with the little superabsorbents in diapers to this make's it better than napalm it stick to everything and you can't get it to stop burning easy with water unless you have a firehose. I don't recommend making it but if you do, throw it on asfalt or concrete far away from buildings like a parking spot because you'll be surprised how intensive it burns and hard to put out
