  • This week I'm FINALLY talking about the true backbone of this channel, the single piece of gear I get asked about more than anything else: my Quik-Lok laptop stands. I use these bad boys in basically every video on the channel since I bought them around 2020. If you want to pick some up yourself (after watching the video to see the pros AND cons) consider using this affiliate link which gives me a small percentage of the purchase price at no additional cost to you: amzn.to/3ah26tv

A pass trough hole and a pin and it will be better than new…. That’s hoy they do with speaker stands…

Thanks for the video and honest review! I’ve looked at similar stand offerings from the likes of Gator and On Stage, but I’ve never pulled the trigger and bought one. Sometimes I wonder if a Manhasset music stand is the sturdiest option for some smaller gear (I think I once saw two of those music stands supporting a Nord, and also maybe the orchestra conductor version being used for a pedal board-style layout of effects).

Yea cool for some applications, I personally would not put my 2000 dollar Ableton Push on a somewhat flimsy stand

Fair enough! I will say even if it lowers I don’t worry for what’s on it, only anything below 🤣

Great video and believe it or not.... i was actually looking for something like this. I searched aliexpress and amazon and found some metal plates you can mount on a tripod but reviews says the metal isnt that sturdy so i hold off. The metal plate on this one looks way nicer tho but shame that the stand cant hold the wait after a while because i need 1 for my sp 404 mk2 and i will be jamming on it so that will cause more downward pressure.... but how tall is it when its at its lowest level?
