- Our subscribers asked for a Walmart shopping vlog, so here it is. On this Sunday we did our "Big Shop at the Walmart Supercenter on Turkey Lake Road in Orlando FL.
We start with the fresh produce and head on over to the Bakery section for some naughty cakes. Onwards to the meat section for some BBQ ribs and sausages all the way to back for Milk and Yogurts.
We then check out the freezer section before picking up drinks, cereal, crisps and cookies. Running over to the other end of the store we check out the Children’s party toys, the pharmacy and wrap with the Disney Clothes and tickets you can buy in store.
Once home we tot up how much this all cost and how the prices have increased the past 12 months.

Supermarkets over there are so much bigger and better than over here, Darren is weird with tomatoes too, and actually most fruit and veg too 😂

Loved this vlog, felt like we were there with you. We love walmart, we have walked to this walmart with backpacks from i drive and struggled back to the hotel weighed down with food and clothes in the days before uber. We uber now. Thanks for this. 😊

There’s a six percent Florida sales tax added on to the total of you bill. But not on food.

Lovedddddd the vlog, so interesting to see the prices were almost identical to Australia, cheapest thing I saw were the bananas at 63c, very cheap, all our prices have gone up since covid also, we do most of our shopping at Aldi, half the price compared to our other grocery stores, thanks Bazzas, xxxxx

Hello you, really enjoyed this vlog. We call it a big shop too 😄 u do make me chuckle Baz, buying kids and blue tables 🤣 we love a big shop on arrival in Florida, so in 2 minds either to order shopping for us on arrival or bite the bullet and get an Uber there and back. This vlog has really made me want to do it myself 😁 although the prices are a little worrying, gonna have to scale back this year by the sounds of it.

We’re late 30s and we call it the big shop. Do the big shop or just get bits.
Loved this video for a wander round Walmart. We’ve never been, but this time we are staying dvc for our first time and we are thinking to get some bits, not a big shop hahah, just bits for breakfasts and snacks.

There’s another Walmart superstore along John young parkway. The one on Turkey lake the tourist use to shop there , as it’s close to I-drive
The donuts in Walmart are great tons of variety.
The Birthday cakes sold in Pubix supermarkets are amazing.

You are making us jealous. No not the cakes the tomatoes! There’s been a shortage in U.K. apparently due to Saharan dust ruining crops in Southern Europe!
Brill vlog, love getting to a Walmart when we are over there. Load the cart with 99c Cherry Pies, Bud Light with Limes, Pop Tarts galore & some Gatorade then pop along to see the car tyres and air rifles!! Two questins 1) Have you noticed significant differences in pricing over the past 2 years due to the pandemic and more recent events? 2) What do you prefer now, a US shop like Walmart or a UK supermarket in Tescos or Morrisons, in terms of selection of foods and quality etc?
Yes US prices have risen 20% in the past year. Not a fair question we love UK supermarkets when we come over. All the food we can’t get here, we go crazy
Loved this video, would be great to see a tour around publix as well :) also would love a video of the 192 and a trip to the Golden Corral, we went there 10 years ago and would be interested to see if it’s still the same!

Lovely look around, thanks. Have you thought about taking your own reusable bags as there was a lot of plastic bags used in your packing
Yes we could, most times the cashier packs the bags for you on their carousel with the plastic bags. I would say 80% of the USA does not use recyclable bags and about 60% do no form of recycling at home . Until the government start to charge for bags or provided recycling services to pick up rubbish from the homes it won’t change
I am still amazed at how much more expensive general groceries are in Florida now. I remember (not too long ago) when it was half the price to the uk. It’s now double or more. I’m actually going to bring toilet rolls with me in July and will save myself about $20 for the month. Fresh fruit and veg is diabolical. Mandarins in the uk are about £1/lb but you were paying closer to £2/lb in the state famous for oranges.

If you stay in a Villa, Walmart is a must to get all those "essentials" that you have at home, but don't come "free" with your rental. Here's a tip..........if you buy one of their big Carrot Cakes or Cheesecakes you maybe calling in for another one on a regular basis!! Walmart is a great shopping experience, and they do sell "everything", so allow enough time to check it all out........all Walmart shops are HUGE!!

I've just moved to the US from the UK, and you are so right all of the bread is full of sugar and the salt content in things is mad!! Could you tell me the English bread in Walmart? I'd love to pick it up 😁 And any English food tips, luckily we have a Publix and they have a small section x
It’s called English Toasting bread, the nearest thing you will find to UK bread

Walmart in the US does have a great selection - not so much here in Canada. Love their wine aisle in the US....great prices.. Just for interest and in comparison to Canada, would that be a normal weekly expenditure for food?

It certainly was very enjoyable, I loved looking around Walmart with you guys and the 80's music was cool,I heard a little bit of INXS playing at the start of your vlog and it took me right back to my younger days! My favourite part of Walmart was always the homeware and wax melt section and also the washing powder/liquid/fabric softner area,I loved the choice they had compared with the UK. Love this one guys 😊 xx

We stayed at the Rosen Plaza on International Drive in 2018 and often went to that Walmart on Turkey Lake Road. Since then I now have to watch my sugar intake, doctors orders 😏so was wondering how Walmart was for reduced/low sugar food stuff ? Here in UK Asda and Tesco where we shop there isn't much choice.....and don't get me started on M&S !!!

Walmart here has the worst bakery/bread. I bought French/sour dough it all tasted exactly the same. I steer clear of all their bakery unless it’s a brand name (not theirs). Never shop there at night. All the weirdos shop then. Otherwise good prices, better than regular grocery stores.
Publix or Walmart for holiday shop for snacks and maybe breakfast stuff ? Both near where we will be staying.

Sadly all the WallyWorlds in my part of Northern California are badly run and we avoid them. Have visited them in the midWest and you would think they were a different chain. Had to chuckle with every euch you and Max said I was saying the same - sourdough…Hershey…cherry….. gummy - I think it is cultural.

Thank-you for the vlog , for what you got I thought 160 dollars was a very good price = to about 124 Pounds, I would never get that much in a month of Sundays for that price, unfortunately I would never get half of that for that price where I live in the UK , question do you have to pay for the bags in the supermarket for your groceries?
