Another issue is that I want to addressed is that many people don’t maintain regular oral hygiene, like brushing their teeth properly. This leads to bad breath, which creates a terrible impression during conversations. I've personally experienced situations where I had to cut conversations short with classmates because their mouth odor was so unbearable that it made it impossible to continue.
some to-do's for hygiene and avoiding bad odor: 1- showers at least once/twice a day. 2-body deodorants/perfume for body/cloths. 3-fresh mints for breathing odorless. 4-cloths sorted out on Sunday for the next week. 5-one separate suit just for meetings/interviews. 6-have clean socks.
Body odour is an issue with men in any western nations as well. It’s even more in those nations diet to several reasons predominant being the mothers’ influence is not as much as it’s in our Asian countries, limited support by the system in vulnerable population, toilet paper system, children move out at young age as well etc etc I’m in a medical profession, represent Indian on international level so can vouch, witnessed more males of every age groups walking in the streets with dirt on their bottom than even animal in western countries. It’s not that saw everyone’s bottom but being in medicine for over 15+, witnessed, read notes of colleagues, updated from handovers etc etc . I have dedicated 15+ years of my life for Australia medicine. It’s sad many young boys moved out of family as soon as either they start job, which is okay but those who move out of family homes ones have the first girlfriend and Centrelink support, they are ready to experience any hiccup like separation etc, they suffer so much, which also is a paramount contributing factor of lack of hygiene. I can mention so much but must say most of our desi body odour is due to long working hours, odd jobs while on student visa, mainly time constraints.

Highly disagree with the overdressed view. The personality is important. Normal dressed with great personality is a treat, while a bad personality with overdressing is highly annoying.
Hygiene is my favorite topic I can talk for hours about this issue! Our people often think everything needs money, oh come on you don’t need to be wealthy to have a neat haircut and shave. To have a good decent Body spray that barely costs you 800rps Drink water properly to have fresh good skin. It's basic stuff Being presentable is imp and helps you grow. People talk and interact with good-looking people and by good looks I mean presentable neat clothes Fresh hair and shave and smell good. My 64-year-old retired father keeps himself upgraded and dresses so well whenever he goes out or on any occasion better than many youngsters who think being dirty is Something Cool. No it's not
Thanks for reading my comment Junaid Bhai 😁 Sorry to disappoint you but I'm no p**nstar, my name refers to a way of connecting of electrical devices ("daisy-chaining") because I'm an electronics nerd 😂
To Mr chef, You have outgrown your friend group. Move on and surround yourself with people that will appreciate and push your carrer forward. Your friends and cousins cant even dice an onion or even boil an egg, let alone make a basic french ommlette. You can hang out with them but dont expect them to understand you and your goals as you have surpassed them in your ambition and mindset. Good luck buddy, and hope you aim for some michelin stars
Big fan of your work Sir. I have been living in China for a total of five years. Once you figure out the basics (VPN, translation apps, maps, and online shopping), China becomes an amazing country to travel and explore. The first week can be a bit challenging for everyone, but it gets easier. I hope one day my wife and I can host you in Suzhou.
Ganjiswag is always surrounded by problems & issues, still tackling them very smartly & spreading awareness for other people. Keep up the good work! God bless you ever😍
It's sad to see you losing motivation because of the circumstances. I always felt like your work and your ambitions are/were greatly underappreciated but we can talk about what could/should/would have been and speculate all we want and it still won't change the fact that you're neglecting what your mind and body is telling you. You mentioned 'rat race', and it points to the fact that you think like this is what you should be doing regardless of how you're feeling.. It's something a lot of people go through so I would really recommend to not push down what your body is trying to tell you and don't force things on yourself constantly. Take a break and try to not feel guilty of what you "should be delivering to others" and give yourself space to feel what you want to in an environment that allows you to. Hope this advice finds the people it is right for.
Sharing my experience in response to the question about the frustrated Pakistani doctor. I’m in the final year of my PhD and teaching as a visiting faculty member at two universities in Islamabad. Unfortunately, I’ve faced similar challenges. Despite completing my thesis a year ago, departmental delays and lack of support have stalled my progress, adding financial strain as universities ask for a complete PhD degree to hire me as a permanent member. As a visiting faculty member, I teach three courses per semester, earning Rs. 72,000 per course, paid only after the semester (4.5 months). After deducting transportation expenses (Rs. 3,000 per week), my monthly earnings barely reach Rs. 36,000 for teaching three courses. Meanwhile, students face other issues like outdated teaching methods, with faculty relying on decades-old knowledge and resisting hiring fresh staff, fearing they may be replaced by younger, more qualified individuals. This systemic inefficiency and lack of support are deeply disheartening, keeping us stuck in a loop that seems unlikely to change for decades. Facing these issues, I have planned to move after my Phd, which I have been resistingearlier due to my extreme patriotic behavior.
Junaid, shubh shubh bolo, we don't want to lose a guiding light like you. We lost KK the singer when he said a similar line in his last concert- hai mai mar jao. Take a break, but don't call for death so casually just cos your frustrated. Best wishes from India.
Sir, In India there is also biggest problem ki hame pata hi nahi ki kisi insan ki private space hoti or shaant mahaul kyse rakhna hai train me travel karo to log full volume me videos dekh rahe hote hai. Pata ni hame itni chhoti si basic baatein kab samajh aayegi. Or yahan India me fitkari ko fitkari hi kahte hai or 10 inr me milti hai.

In the streets of Toronto these days, when you don’t see a desi nearby, but your nose will alert you that there is one of us at a stone throw away distance. It is not that all desi smell bad, it is just that some of us have know clue about personal hygiene, which is fueling the stereotype and making our life worse in Canada.
01:53:10 🥺🥺 Junaid Bhai, you look so cute when you’re angry. ❤️❤️💕 Mere bhi same jazbaat hotay hain in haramiyon kay baray main. Thankfully, I left Pakistan at the right time, and Alhamdulillah, I’m doing great in life now.❤😇
To the lady doctor, you can apply directly for fellowship in USA if you have experience in Pakistan’ and have done fellowship in Pakistan. As far I know you can do it without USMLe steps
54:20 I usually don't look at women while going somewhere or sometimes even when talking while work if not necessary. Reason is to respect her, and not to cause any discomfort due to the points you're discussing as women feel discomfort due to men's hawas bhai nazren. Whoever she is, whatever she is wearing, it should not be my or any stranger's problem. I think this is our national sport in Pakistan, to NOT mind our own business, apart from mob lynching. Extremely disappointing, but true
1:50:07 I really feel ashamed! why is absolutely no one talking about how depressed he truly is. I'm so sorry man! I know it's a lot on one's mental health. I suggest start watching or learning some irrelevant stuff to this tough world. it serves as a good escape from boredom while also NOT feeling like a waste of time. might sound weird but you might start learning about prehistoric life, like about our planet before us, periods before us, the Triassic, the Mesozoic, the Cenozoic etc. The creatures before us, Wildlife, Dinosaurs, Aquatics it really gives new meaning to how we see the universe around us. and because we all know our own ancient history is 70% depressing. and PLEASE DO NOT CHANGE THE SHEETS! your mom's heart is more important than the Aesthetics stay blessed ❤
I can empathize with the frustration of living in a roadside apartment and dealing with constant noise. My apartment is also on the roadside, near a marriage hall, where inconsiderate people often play loud DJ music late into the night, even at 11 PM. Sometimes, I feel like I might lose my temper one day and end up dealing with them like Nana Patekar in Agnisakshi. We have laws prohibiting loud music after 10 PM, especially near schools and residential areas, but it feels like no one cares, and the police seem unresponsive.
This podcast really took a dark turn. Bro are you ok? You don't have to burn out. Firstly, why can't you move abroad? Is it because you are the sole caretaker of your parents and they refuse to move abroad? If that's the case, I can feel your pain. Secondly, you don't have to do this podcast alone, your wife can make one and you guys can switch alternatively answering these questions based on who can better answer them. It could be a fun test and a change for you as well.
I understand that when people interact with other cultures, they may not be used to the different smells. Many people are not used to Indian/Pakistani food smells like mustard oil, garam masala, haldi etc. I couldn't deal with some Asian students cooking with a type of fish oil/sauce. Many goras also have bad breath because of drinking, which in some cases didn’t go away the next morning, and they would come to class/department with that badboodar moo. Or some people get their dog's smell on them. People from all cultures have smells that can come off as weird to others. Yes, people can shower more, use perfumes, etc. But I feel Indians ko kuch zyada hee badnaam kerdiya hai when it comes to smell.
very well said. Any smell that one is not used to can be offensive. Indian spice smell is never offensive to Indians. I feel people have started making a great deal of small things. This is a world with different cultures. People need to get used to accommodating other cultures. And mostly I feel, some people/cultures have been made scapegoats.
You’re absolutely right, your energy and motivation seem a bit low in this episode. Maybe taking a long break would help you recharge and come back even stronger. Phitkari is called Alum Stone. It’s available in 2 forms. Stone or deodorant. Deodorants can be found easily on amazon AE and they cost 12-30 AED depending on brands. If you don’t want to feel fancy by spending this much money, another option is to get stone. Stone is easily available in Pansaar store (spice/herb stores). These stores can be easily found in UAE (downtown & suburbs). 1 kg of alum stone from this store costs 40 AED. They amount you need will cost only 50 fils and it will last almost a year. In Pakistan, 50 rupees worth stone will last 2 years. How to use: after shower, pat dry your armpits (or where ever you smell), damp the stone and just rub it on your skin. After wearing clothes use some good perfume & you are good to go for your day 😊 Stop destroying other peoples’ nostrils 🙈
Junaid bhai it’s a matter of carrying of your hygiene as well . I know some folks take shower but when they cook Adrak lehsin wala khana their winter jackets carry that odour in trains . Believe me that’s makes scary for others definitely brown skin under that jacket
I'm currently studying in China and imo it's so convenient and developed, but you have to take some precautions. I China is cashless at this point, if you as someone they'll tell you to create alipay account with your passport for all the payments. You can also get taxi at your exact location, not even 10m away from alipay as well. I We download vpn and use all of our Apps. Chinese do not speak English at all, not even basic counting. They have apps to do everything, booking appointments etc. Just doing a little research can help before coming but yes it is very different from places where you can just go and figure out the rest like Europe and west. But I think it's worth it.

Just to add to avoiding body odor on long flights, Airport regulations allow liquids in containers of 100ml or less, all fitting in a single clear quart-sized bag. So essentially you can carry perfumes and deodrant sprays. However please do not excessively spray the perfume to the point that it becomes a problem for people sitting next to you
So about the jet lag phenomenon. This often has a lot to do with the cabin pressure and not just timezone differences. If a certain airline or plane has a higher cabin pressure lets say the equivalent of 8000 feet vs having a pressure of 6000 feet one will feel more tired at the higher pressure. This is also noticeable in terms of ear pain or headaches after a journey
58:20 i relate with this person so muchh. I am 17 and in grade 12. I love baking its literally my hobby and passion and i love cooking as well. Once i tried to tell my father that i wanna be a chef and he gave me such a disappointed look guyss. Whenever my studies topic comes up he says “khana banane wali banna hai isne” and this is soo sad. Why does our society degrade such careers?!? Chef ko bawarchi, vet ko dangar doctor, physiotherapist ko maalshi? This is so wrong and it boils my blood. Why cant we study and pursue what we want and love? Im so done man. I love baking and decorating cakes and i dream of opening a bakery when im older.😔😔
@Junaid, I hope that you are doing ok, I thought you lost it in the middle of the video. Most of us are dealing with some sort of hardship, as we have to go through the daily grind to pay the bills. My mitigation for stress is going to the gym at least 3 times a week, and I have hobbies like hiking and fishing, this helps me in keeping my mind in order. One can explore and find activities that could help to rejuvenate physically and mentally.
About jet lag situation. A doctor here in Sydney told that when we travel from northern hemisphere to south, our body’s circadian rhythm messes up but if u go north, you’ll be okay or adapt quickly

You're 100% right about Pakistani restaurants. I've always loved eating in a Pakistani restaurant but I've never seen foreigners eating inside a Pakistani restaurant. It's always the Desi folks only eating in them. The reason is no variety in the menu that caters to less spice eating Gore pakode.
Everyone eats in Pakistani restaurants, what are you talking about? Indian restaurants aren't actually Indian, it's just a wider branding, it has nothing to do with India the country, it's a broad grouping, although that's changing over time.

44:55 While men staring is a universal problem, I have noticed that men in Lahore or any other city in Punjab stare more than men in Karachi. I think one of the reasons could be that Karachi is more ethnically diverse, people are accustomed to different lifestyles and appearances, which fosters a more open-minded environment and reduces intrusive behaviors like staring (something you mentioned in your podcast too). Also Karachi has a larger number of Co-ed schools and educational institutions, while co ed schooling in Lahore remains very scarce

Hello Junaid, it's good to listen to your ask ganjiswag. I want to tell you that this smell problem from the body is a universal issue. I have my American, Hispanic coworkers, and it smelled so bad that no one could sit in the room with them, we had to put a pedestal fan with air freshener in it to counter that smell. One of my coworkers smelled bad from his mouth, I don't think he brushed his teeth, or maybe he needed floss. I think we don't have the habit of flossing our teeth, but it should be a daily hygienic routine, if not twice, but at least once in a day.
Can someone please explain the system of Islamic banking in Pakistan? It seems quite similar to conventional banking in terms of profit and annual sharing. What makes a banking system truly Sharia-compliant? Also, if a 22-year-old wants to open an account, what type of account would be a good option? Suggestions, please!
As a Pakistani myself I have faced the issue of smell in my own brown people. Although many lack hygiene but our food is quite aromatic and the smell sticks to the clothes which is annoying. If anyone has any suggestions to solve this issue please let me know!!
You forgot to mention about how bad people smell in a mosque where being Paak saaf and pleasant is the first requirement. One solution = bullying. We live in a extremely humid, tropical country where temperatures go upto 45c in summers.I had a friend who use to run from showering and he has short curly hair, the dandruff flakes always clearly visible on his head and visible symptoms of not showering daily. Initially he started showering because of the fear of being bullied but soon after he himself realized that we were bullying him for his own benefit and he is thankful to us for being mean.
This is probably my first comment ever since I started watching your videos. I think you’re a bit one-sided about the topic discussed at 1:34:36. People getting employees checked for their body odors or facial styles is discrimination unless these things are noted in the job description before hiring. I’m not an expert in this field, but I know they can’t fire or judge you based on your smell. Some people naturally have strong body odors, and while you’re mainly talking about Asians here, I think this issue is more common among white folks due to poor hygiene-like not using water after number 2, etc. The same could go for black people. In fact, you’d probably prefer sitting next to an average smelly Indian or Pakistani guy over being in the same room with someone who smokes weed or whatever it is they’re smoking here in the U.S.A. For what it’s worth, thanks for the walking tales and ask series-they’re very informative. They keep me entertained during my shifts In my line of work, I can keep your videos playing under my monitor while on the job, and I’m sure half my colleagues are familiar with your distinctive bald look by now. Hope to see you in person one day. Just afraid of being judged, as you’ve seen people go from rags to being millionaires, and you usually on document them. On the other hand, average people like me, who also came from Pakistan and are surviving day to day-but thankfully in a good and respectable line of work-sometimes feel a little intimidated seeing all those rags-to-riches stories.
Why are you complaining so much? Back in 2018, when I went to China for the first time, I wasn’t bothered by these issues as much. Before my trip, I did my research on how to travel, navigate, and communicate there. I looked into the available means of transportation, and I was aware that Google apps were not supported there. From Google Maps to UA-cam, they have their own alternatives. Even their version of PUBG is different! It’s our responsibility to study and understand how things work in a country before traveling there. For communication, it’s as simple as downloading the Chinese language pack on a translator app. You can also use their local translator apps or Microsoft Translator. For maps, Baidu Maps or offline maps work well. When I was there, we explored city areas without the help of senior colleagues. We simply checked transport stations and traveled, using translators whenever we needed assistance. Before my trip, I had even learned Chinese counting and a few common phrases, which proved helpful. Translators were always our go-to source for communication whenever we needed help.
I can not comprehend why people were asking for cash in china because I’ve travelled to 8 chinese cities in 3 trips and hardly spent any cash. Most of my transactions were through wechat pay and alipay CN which I had connected with my international credit cards
For the Editor: Ask Ganjiswag (Junaid Akram) is referring to Muzamil Hasan, not Syed Muzammil Shah, who runs the UA-cam channel 'TBT (Thought Behind Things)' under the name 'Muzamil Hasan | TBT Podcast.' Muzamil Hasan is one of my favourite UA-camrs in Pakistan, along with Syed Muzammil Shah (whom I prefer to call Syed Muzammil Official), who is known for his critical appraisal of many sensitive topics in Pakistan. Additionally, Muzamil Hasan mentioned this in the introduction of his video for 'Ask Muzamil Hasan.'
Junaid bhai i don’t agree with you on somethings. 1. Junaid bhai just to clarify murtiram sir said 80 hrs work week if we want to become like USA. He said we can not expect work life conditions like US if we don not have infrastructures like USA. USA also once in 19s worked their asses off. 2) If people want a normal life they can have 9to 5 work culture but then they should not expect a fast growth. It is not fair for people like me who love their work and work our asses off just to achieve what we dream off. 3) people who don’t like their job and are just working for a salary or are too scared to leave their comfortable job and work hard and take risk to achieve their dream use the concept “WORK LIFE BALANCE” just as an excuse. In my case i love my work and my work is now a part of my life. I strongly believe in hustle culture. we can not expect USA living conditions if we are not USA we need to get at that level.
I went to Guangzhou last this year new years eve, lost for a whole night as i forgot google Facebook Twitter Google map was banned. I forgot both my hotel & my friends contact 😮😮😮 I was almost crying, no one know English so hard to get help. Worst nightmare 😢😢😢
Planned obsolescence on bulbs is much worse, there is a Veritasiam video on it that the original bulbs could last 100 years, there is one bulb in a fire station in US from those early days that hasn’t been turn off for about 100 years.
Important thing we should know that after bathing you should you body wash wash your clothes as well and then apply deodorant and perfume as well to smell good

No it's not

To Mr chef,
You have outgrown your friend group.

Very valid topic. Kudos to you on bringing the personal hygiene issue to light!

After wearing clothes use some good perfume & you are good to go for your day 😊
Stop destroying other peoples’ nostrils 🙈

Saddening to see you eating in a Pakistani restaurant.Eating in Pakistani restaurants is financing terrorist attacks in India

My favourite series on youtube.

For the Editor:
Ask Ganjiswag (Junaid Akram) is referring to Muzamil Hasan, not Syed Muzammil Shah, who runs the UA-cam channel 'TBT (Thought Behind Things)' under the name 'Muzamil Hasan | TBT Podcast.' Muzamil Hasan is one of my favourite UA-camrs in Pakistan, along with Syed Muzammil Shah (whom I prefer to call Syed Muzammil Official), who is known for his critical appraisal of many sensitive topics in Pakistan.
