    In my opinion, Henna is drying! However, I think henna is excellent protein/protection treatment along with aloe powder or some form of products that’ll condition the hair! You must always keep “Henna” hair conditioned and moisturized! Henna along with most of these Ayurveda herbs will grow the hair exceptionally well IF you have a proper hair care regiment! If you’re just adding henna and nothing else without proper hair care, the hair will most definitely break off!

    • @IamCynDoll
      @IamCynDoll  10 місяців тому +3

      Thanks for your opinion but we’re talking about facts in this video.❤️Even with proper hair care henna will break your hair off long term. I’ve been doing this over a decade. Most of my clients are women who think like you and then in their 40-60 when hair weathering sets in they call me. I treat protein overload from henna daily on women in that age group. Henna links to protein and never leaves the hair causing the hair shaft to break down overtime. There are other things people can do that don’t put permanent molecular bricks within the hairshaft. Having different hairstyles or products in combination with it does nothing but put a additional layer on the hair to give you the illusion of healthy hair. Sis, Aloe is pure protein so adding aloe (protein) to a protein linking herb is only going to increase protein overload. Please go learn more about herbs and the human body sis. Henna does not belong in the hair but do your thing. You were warned.❤️ Thanks for watching!

      I agree. I've been using Henna for seven years and have not experienced hair breakage nor curl release because I pair it with other conditioning powders. My hair has never been healthier after incorporating Henna and other Ayurvedic powders in my regimen. Parts of this video are very misleading and may discourage some from exploring Ayurvedic hair care practices.

So glad I came across this vid cos I wouldn't have made the connection. I like my hair colour after henna and I am allergic to ppd and aimilar chemicals,, so anything else doesn't quite work for me. Semi-permanent colours arent an option for me. So well, I will just have to get used to my mousy brown hair. Thanks for this informative vid

    Thank you for your video. I have been using henna and indigo for the past 3 years as i have had serious reactions to chemical dyes. Before using it i did a lot of research. I have found that henna has strengthened my hair however i do use it with aloe vera, i deep condition after each henna and indigo treatment and moisture regularly. My hair is soft after each use. People like myself who cannot use commercial chemical dyes due to allergies this is a viable natural option.

      I have mainly high porosity hair. Commercial dyes have always damaged my hair. I use henna and indigo to color my grays, roughly once every 2-3 months.I don't use protein treatments but I use moisturizing deep conditioners in between. I'm in my 50s and have more hair than most women my age and quite a few who are younger than me. Not telling anyone else what they should do with their hair but just sharing my real world experience in case it's helpful to someone 🤷🏾‍♀️

    Well, your knowledge is incredible and your hair is honestly…it’s just unbelievably, believable…you have the healthiest and most thick hair that I’ve ever seen (in MY opinion:))
    Anyways …this middle aged woman right here just took my clippers out and did a big cop a couple months ago. I feel free 🙋🏽‍♀️!
    You mentioned Henna and protein, I’ve never used henna before, however I have used coconut oil and/or products with coconut somewhere in them, on my natural hair. Oddly enough every time I put the smallest quantity or even the least concentrated amount of coconut oil in my hair, ****which also has protein in it, my small tight coily 4C natural strands literally start to fall out and wash down the drain. Even if I only keep it on my hair for 1-3 minutes.
    Would henna have the same effect due to it also being highly protein rich? I thought anyone could use protein and it be beneficial, but even in small amounts my hair strands say “girl, hell nahhhh 😳😆….we letting you all the way loose from this scalp, goodbye, we letting go’ 😂😂 ( Signed - funny, until it’s not 😆) HELP?!?!

    Hi Cyn, I used henna and indigo to dye my edges black for close to 2 years. I stopped about 2 years ago as the process was extremely long and tedious (4h of henna on the hair + 30 min of indigo afterwards) and I switched to professional hair colouring. The hairstylist never asked me if I had used henna before and just went ahead with the colouring (Back then I didn't know what I know about henna now thanks to your video's). I didn't experience any negative reaction with the henna that was left in my hair and I never had up to now. Is that normal?
    I recently found out I have low porosity hair so I guess the damage should be worse but I haven't experienced it yet. Is it still going to come later?
