What a wonderful musical relationship between Christoph and Langlang! It is so lucky for Langlang to have so many outstanding mentors'help and training! Hopefully, Haochen Zhang, a new piano star, will get the same luck like Langlang some day!
This is absolutely amazing. This kind of performance happens only rarely in a lifetime. Two musicians suddenly find a groove and both are able to “click”.
A beautiful skilled keyboard collaboration to two Debussy lyrical pieces. When you see the joy in their faces as they play you know you are watching something rare and special. I can watch this over and over and it never loses its magic.
Those that call Lang Lang a bad pianist KNOW FOR A FACT that they ONLY do so out of TOTAL SPITE AND JEALOUSY of his SHEER GENIUS!!!!!!!!!!!!! Lang Lang HAS what we ALL DESPERATELY WISH we could have AND THE TEUTH OF THAT FACT, NOT opinion, FACT LITERALLY EATS THEM UP!!!!!!!!!!!!! Julie Gill, Glasgow, Scotland.
Debussy, Petite Suite.
If Lang Lang is such a bad pianist as suggest by some on UA-cam why would Eschenbach, Martha Argerich and many other top pianists and conductors invite him over and over again to play the piano with them or with their orchestras?
Mingyu Nan Did you not see the joy on the faces of the members in the Orchestra as well as the audience? Did you not notice the lengthy applause? When the views on you tube goes ski high and when great composers, pianists have nothing but good things say about his music I'm suppose to believe that all this is "contracts and promotions"?
i've always music suppose to elevate the soul to a higher standard, but i guess all these perpetual naysayers are still their inferior stratus to become something better. When people have the special talent to do what they do such as LL, they no longer seek the approval of the masses but rather search for what remain to be learned and attempt to fill the void of their imperfections.
Well, I guess he has something good to offer in the line of his art if he's able to sell tickets and make money. Something you are BLIND to see and cannot see but other great professional musicians CAN.
You don't necessarily have to be good to sell tickets, skimask. You only have to have to have something to offer and he offers a show... nothing more, nothing less.
Keep coming back to watch this, they are both great, Lang Lang has such great respect for Christoph, and yes, it would have been unrehearsed, don’t forget they are two prominent musicians who nan sight read music, like you and I read a book! Australia
I met lang lang once when he came to fresno and played Tchaikowsky concerto no1. back stage he shook my hand and i asked him when he was going to play the rock 3. he sead next album. He is a realy cool guy and a super great pianist. that was like 12 years ago though.
I love Langlang's interpretation ! He really seams to show what he is felling. Once I read a interview that he said he can't play whit out making this faces. hahahaha i just love him. Beside this ... he is GORGEOUS! MARRY ME LANG LANG ! ^_______^ I'm a pianist eather ... hahaha Wonderfull!
Its true, Lang Lang even said he sometimes see visions of colors by playing each sets of notes, thats how much he is into the music. I am sorry to say Lang Lang is currently married to a beautiful wife Gina Alice Redlinger :-)
Beautiful. As pleasant as these two men get along and beyond the passion to play. +tsihpem Lang Lang explained why he likes the man he plays with, for other reasons: his human qualities and his pleasure to meet him again each time, despite their schedule, as if they had left the day before.
I have to admit, I liked his (LL's) Schubert B Flat that he played in Prague much more, this isn't much Debusy-like, IMHO. But unless I'm mistaken, it's actually Eschenbach who plays it "less good" most of the time... However, I can clearly see that both of them have fun playing it as well as both the orchestra and audience watching them-and that's what matters in the end.
It's a very fantastic and beautiful performance. How can their chemistry be so perfect? I'm lucky to hear Eschenbach play when I was young and LangLang play in my old age.😍😍😍
Wish they had played the whole suite. I’d love to hear the Cortege. So many play it very fast perhaps because they can, I like it a bit slower so you can hear all the notes and wonderful harmonies and key progressions. No one does those like Debussy.
Yes, their relationship is very special. I used to use part of the Emperor in a multi-cultural group session in a business school, They threw me out because I didn't tell them what the objectives of the lesson were! When Lang Lang came to Leeds Town Hall, he pointed to the gallery where Dame Fanny Waterman sat and said "I am here because this lady asked me to be an ambassador for the Leeds competition. It is the highest honour I have ever received." The place went bananas with stamping, clapping, cheering and every noise you can imagine. I got worried in case the pubs might be shut when they finished.

Finally, a duo that doesn't rush through En Bateau!

Two maestros. Great musicians.

Why? Because he's a draw. He sells tickets and money is the bottom line.

An absolute joy and a real privilege to listen too..
Don't know music, I mean, not at all ! But this is simply delightful !
Keep coming back to watch this, they are both great, Lang Lang has such great respect for Christoph, and yes, it would have been unrehearsed, don’t forget they are two prominent musicians who nan sight read music, like you and I read a book! Australia
hi again auckland piano player 68yr
Don’t know why but tears in my eyes.. Wish I can play a duo with my piano teacher too...
I met lang lang once when he came to fresno and played Tchaikowsky concerto no1. back stage he shook my hand and i asked him when he was going to play the rock 3. he sead next album. He is a realy cool guy and a super great pianist. that was like 12 years ago though.
Excelente
you lie. don't be stupid.
What? No way!
This performance is so beautiful it makes me cry.
Me too
This is one of those performances that puts a smile on your face
YES !
I had to play it, and I do not feel that way.
Wonderful and playful. Full of life and French esprit. Debussy would be very happy.
Wow - was that spontaneous? How can you play together so perfectly if you have never practised together? Or have you?
Absolutely beautiful! Love them! :)
Music is the language of love and universal happiness! When you have the standing ovation, you know it's the best!
Barbara Sposito Fat chance
Barbara Sposito uuuuuy
Cx
Barbara Sposito he is married in 2019
Its true, Lang Lang even said he sometimes see visions of colors by playing each sets of notes, thats how much he is into the music. I am sorry to say Lang Lang is currently married to a beautiful wife Gina Alice Redlinger :-)
Lang Lang! I enjoyed your duet with Eschenbach. Good piece.
Beautiful. As pleasant as these two men get along and beyond the passion to play. +tsihpem
Lang Lang explained why he likes the man he plays with, for other reasons: his human qualities and his pleasure to meet him again each time, despite their schedule, as if they had left the day before.
I can see that they are playing so joyfuly
I love Lang lang, and his beautiful soul❤
Bravo! Quel régal de vous entendre. Merci!
Que de beauté,de grâce 🙂🎹
Lang Lang and Eschenbach; the two big ones on the keyboard of a piano with their four hands, prodigy in dexterity.
Absolutely! So true. What a joy to watch!

Proud of you, Lang Lang.
It's a very fantastic and beautiful performance.
How can their chemistry be so perfect?
I'm lucky to hear Eschenbach play when I was young and LangLang play in my old age.😍😍😍
Lucky lucky you.
This is very good thing when two pianists just come together and play like that
Bravo !
Japanese)
This performance is my best duo of Piano !
Many thanks !!!
Actually it's a little bit hard to focus while Lang Lang siting next to you....
Debussy is easily recognizable with some harmonies
Wish they had played the whole suite. I’d love to hear the Cortege. So many play it very fast perhaps because they can, I like it a bit slower so you can hear all the notes and wonderful harmonies and key progressions. No one does those like Debussy.

Greatest pianists
Look at the smiles on their faces, just like me and my friend are playing dual played video games together. Yes, piano is a game console.
masters+Steinway+LOVE to music=the magic of music
Awesome! Just awesome!
Might be my favorite En Bateau
Lovely interpretation of the piece!! ❤❤❤🎉🎉😊😊😊😊😊😊
Majestic performance for four hands.
i can tell lang lang is genuinely enjoying the performance
Sensational!
what a great, sweet, stylish, and inspiring duet! bravo!
Xavier is into classical music. I definitely knew that!
This is so cute.
How lovely was that?
It's the best I've heard En batau played. These two play together as one.
I didn't know it was written for four hands but I guess any piece can be converted.
Too amazing 😳😱👍👍
True
AMAZING!
Absolutamente delicioso..¡¡¡¡
Love this!
I rarely see lang lang play with other musicians in this manner, wonderful performance!
He did that with Martha Argerich.
Where's the Cortege? I loved their interpretation and performance, but missed the middle movement?
+dancin miriam its actually a different piece I think but both pieces are from the same set
And the menuet!
Beautiful sound
0:37 start
When langlang smiles at christoph so sweet
Lang Lang's hands are the third largest among the world's top pianists

Best of Debussy's Petite Suite ! !

Beautiful...so in sync 🌹
Best duo in sync ,today I realize again .
Reagálnom kell rá.Az első momentumtól végig mosolyogtam.

wonderful
This performance made me so emotional that I can't help start to sob.
