I'd like to be entered into the giveaway. I'm almost exclusively an old school turn-based guy. I gave Ys VIII a brief shot, but didn't stick with it like I should have and I think it's time I give the series another chance.
Congrats on the 10K Branden! So looking forward to this adventure for a while now! Enjoyed the demo and ready to move on the story. I have my collectors edition ready as well.
Congrats of hitting 10k subs, my man! Totally and completely well deserved accomplishment! Strong video, as always, and I can't wait to play this game next week when it releases.
I want to be entered in the giveaway. One of my favorite moments from the ys series is when the big twist happens in IX. I don't want to spoil it in case someone is currently playing and doesn't want to know what happens. I beat the demo and can't wait to play more of this game. Great review and unboxing video. I also Subscribed to your channel.
Count me in! I first played Ys Felghana on the ol’ PSP UMD and I was in love. The setting, the action, the music. That magic is alive and well still. I can’t wait to dig into this one.
Less of a story about the gameplay, and more of a story about the physical game itself. Y's Memories of Celceta was my first time playing the series. It was a birthday present from my wife back when it released for my Vita. The big deal was it was the first time she bought me a gaming related present with her own money as she had been a stay at home mom for our son who was finally going to school and so she went back to work. I no longer have that Vita, but I still have my copy of that game.
Count me in! Gratz on 10k! Ys IX's story surprised me, a lot of people underestimated the entire theme of the first true "sword anime boy" in ARPG history having to hide his iconic look and forcing a character that always leaves places with no consequence to actually stay inside a city.
Count me in for a giveaway. I’ve played all Ys games and origins, 4th, 8th and the 9th are my favorites. One of the fondest gaming memories I have, was during my first playthrough with Lacrimosa of Dana. Every moment when two intertwined stories connected was fantastic, each revelation that it has brought was well executed, but the goosebumps that I got when someone discovers someone in deep slumber, that was it. That childlike wonder that it evokes, that is what I cherished the most, when I feel like a kid and I am excited and invested in the story.
Aw, heck yeah, a giveaway! Count me in. I've been playing through Ys this year, starting with 1&2 for the PSP. Im up to Dana, and the first time the music kicks in, chills dude. So good. I can't wait to try Nordics.
I saw Ys 8 on sale and picked it up only because i heard good things about it. After listening to the opening ost i knew i was in for an amazing game. I got intantly hooked & went for the 100% clear/true ending and to me is one of the best arpgs i have ever played. The stories never got old and right when you thought you knew what was going on something more interesting came around. Looking forward to being able to play this new game since it got announced.
I want to enter the giveaway! My favorite moment with Ys was with Memories of Celceta. Funny because at first I was not enjoying the game at all but I decided to persist a little longer and it ended up becoming among my favorites. Exploring the tower near the end while listening to the awesome music was incredible!
Thanks for the review and the chance at the giveaway! My favorite Ys game is 8. I never would have played the game, but it was in a lot of Switch games I bought and actually played and loved it! I was my intro to RPGs and now I can say Xenoblade 3 is my favorite game of all time!
Thanks for the giveaway, I would like to enter too~! My favorite moment from the Ys series has to be when Adol Christin survives yet another shipwreck or just any maritime disaster to kick off his new adventure. It's a classic! Every time it happens, I know a long journey full of twist and turns is about to begin.
Hey Branden, loved the review! I’d love to enter the giveaway! My best memory of Ys is getting Oath in Felghana on release date for PSP and loving the hell out of it! it’s still my absolute favorite Ys game and the switch version is as good as i can remember. Keep the videos coming, brother!
Sure i can enter the raffle. I think my favorite moment from Ys is just Yunica route in Ys Origins. I really love her character arc and think she's a fantastic character.
I also want to be in the contest. Ys II on the PSP gave me a euphoric feel or mood. It made me feel so happy and I can't explain why. Mostly the cutscenes and the music. I loves the water effects in Ys VI and I loved the community, music and setting in Ys VIII. I wish Dogi was playable in more titles. I am loving the Ys X demo. It's beautiful. Love the JRPG content!!
I want to enter! Not sure if international subscribers can win but hey worth the try! The opening moment from Ys 8 when you wake up after getting stranded and the classic falcom music kicks in is so satisfying. Its such an electrifying moment in what could have been another boring opening segment from any other game. That is to say that Ys music rocks!

I want to enter too! I never played any Ys game, but this one is really calling to me because of Karja and the dual protag mechanic. I am an absolute Trails fan, so this is kind of a Falcom blind spot for me, and I'd love to change that ❤
I'd love to be entered into the giveaway! I've only played some of the old school Ys titles, many many years ago, but haven't yet dived into the newer ones. The new direction since 8 looks very intriguing and absolutely my style.
Other than the fact that we do not get nearly enough red-headed protagonists like Adol, the series has been awesome but I think one of my favorite moments was Dogi smashing through a wall (I think this was in 7, or possible Celceta, maybe both).
Count me in! My favorite moments were those when Dana planted a sprout in the distant past and that created new paths for Adol in the present (of course I'm talking about Ys 8, absolute masterpiece)
I want to enter the giveaway! My favorite memory of Ys was when I played Ys: Memories of Celceta on my Vita, it was one of the best action RPG on the system and being a portable game that you can play anywhere adds the cherry on top!
Ys viii is such a wonderful game! It made me fall in love with the series and have since played all of them except oath in felghana and ys seven. If anyone hasnt checked out the ys viii book i would highly recommend it. The author did a great job at capturing the story of Dana in my opinion and it almost felt like i was playing the game again. It was such a great time ys has become my favorite jrpg series that i have played so far.
Congrats on 10k subs! I was here before you had 1k and it's been amazing to watch your channel explode. I'd like to enter the giveaway. I haven't spent much time with the Ys series, so I dont really have a favorite moment, though I do think fondly on what I did play of Ys VIII. My favorite moment in an action RPG would have to be when I finally hit 1 million damage in Star Ocean Second Story R. I was already loving the game, but that moment way against a raid boss so it made it that much more special.
I want to be entered! Thatd be cool! To sum up the entire ys series i love every music piece ive heard. Even a friend of mine who isnt into jrpgs loves the music
Alright im totally in! I remember my entry into the Ys franchise was with Ys VIII and i randomly bought it because i was looking for any JRPG to play on the switch and i was lucky to find myself in an amazing game that i never knew about. Looking forward to checking out Ys X!
I'd like to be entered sir! Ys 8 is fantastic. But I think Ys orgins is probably the most fun Ive had with an Ys game. I've played some of the demo of 10 and it seems solid. Glad you enjoyed it. Looking forward to playing it.
I'm down for a giveaway! As for a favorite Ys memory, I'll be honest and admit that I've only played VIII (which I need to fix for sure) and a bit of IX, but I really appreciated the sense of progression and the satisfaction you get as a player building up your community on the island as you make your way through the game. The setting is great and is a very cool contrast to the Dana storyline running parallel to Adol and the gang's. Not a specific memory I know, but I think the experience as a whole counts haha.
I'm down to be entered in the giveaway, even though I've never played an Ys game before. I do have Ys VIII on Steam, and I'm considering giving it a try after I go through all the Trails games. My favorite moment I've had in an action RPG that I *have* played is when you make it to Swordmarch at the beginning of chapter 5 of Xenoblade 3. Just seeing what life could be like for the main cast if they weren't in the situation that they're in is absolutely fantastic, and the amount of character development that happens as a result is amazing.
Count me in!!! I like how in Ys 9 when Ingrid tells adol how many times he shipwrecks lol and I bet everyone can relate that saradhi has a nice crack 😂
I would love to be entered in the giveaway. My first Ys game was 8 and once the song Sunshine Coastline hit while I was exploring and running through enemies I was instantly hooked. Great video!
I want to be entered into the giveaway! My first experience with Ys was Ys VIII. I downloaded it on the switch after seeing a video about best RPG’s on the switch. I played it for a few hours and put it down for a while to play another game, but in the back of my head I had heard such high praise of that game that I knew I was going to get back into it. When I did, I couldn’t put it down! Perfect and perfect gameplay was so much fun to learn and Master. I love EA so much that I purchased it a second time on my PS4. I cannot wait for Ys X to drop!
I wish to enter the giveaway as well. My favorite moment from the Ys series is in Ys 2 when you were racing to stop Dalles from ringing that last bell.
I'm in for a give away! My favorite memory was when you chose me for the free copy of Ys X! Kidding, all of Ys 8 is my favorite memory of Ys, I have beaten that game so many times I have lost count. One of my favorite games of all time. Platinumed twice, once on my account and a friends. Good review.
I want to be entered in the giveaway. Yes VIII was such a high mark that has yet to be surpassed. Still really excited for this game and that special edition (especially the bag) looks super nice. Kinda wish I had gone with that instead of the regular edition even though I'm not a fan of the large boxes.
I wish to enter the giveaway. My favorite souvenir is Ys VIII and the island environment. I really loved the design mixed with the awesome music. I would love to go back to the Ys world. Ty for the giveaway, and great video!
I'd like to enter the giveaway. My favourite moment from Ys was when I first figured out I just run into enemy with a slight offset to damage them in Ys I. It was satisfying and mindblowing.
I grew up always wanting to play the ys games but never got around to them. Then I experienced ys viii and fell in love. Now I own all of them (that I can in English) and plan to play them all........the backlog is real though.
I’d love to be entered into this giveaway! A favorite memory of playing Ys 8 is just being able to explore and listen to the music. NIS is known for their music in games and it truly shows with this entry.
Thanks for the giveaway. My favorite memory was on Ys VIII the first time I heard that beach theme. Since then I have revered YS music as some of the best in the RPG genre.
Comment for the giveaway algorithm! I started with 8 and enjoyed it, but I think the characters in 9 make me love the series, likely because of all the Trails voice actors
Count me in on the GA, I haven’t play any Ys games yet but I am looking to play my first one. Tales of arise was probably my fav in terms of jrpg, it is so much fun playing it, good looking game, and satisfying combat.
I’ve been looking forward to Ys X Nordics, so much, second this year only to Daybreak! I’d like to be entered into the giveaway, please. My favorite Ys moment is in Ys 8 is when -[SPOILER ALERT!]- Ricotta meets up with her father, Thanatos, and Hummel delivers the package to Thanatos, and right after they find Dana… that whole sequence just gives me warm feelings of happiness just thinking about it! I would be absolutely overjoyed to win this giveaway, especially from a channel that means something to me. (I say that earnestly, not to try to suck up - I think you know that based on all my interactions with your channel, but I wanted to make sure it didn’t come off that way LOL). Thank you for doing the giveaway regardless!
Oh, also, I hope I did this right. I looked up how to make sure my subscriptions weren't private, and went on my browser to UA-cam Settings -> Privacy, then turned OFF the slider for "Keep all my subscriptions private." I read somewhere that it could take a few days for this change to take? So, I wanted to make sure I said something!
Enter me into that giveaway! I remember picking up Ys 1 and 2 for my PSP back in high school. I got to 2 and never finished it. Fast-forward to married me picking up Ys 8 on PS4 for no other reason then I heard people liked it. The starting beach/combat hooked me. AND IT ACTUALLY FILLED OUT THE MAP. I hate it when games don't do that. It opened my eyes to this incredible series. Now I've played through them all (including 1 and 2) and enjoyed every second.
I'd like to be entered into the giveaway. Ik a lot of people consider it a step down from 8, but 9 was my first Ys game and I loved it. All of the main cast is enjoyable and using the powers to traverse the city is really fun. It made me want to try all of the other Ys games, so it did its job of getting me into the series
I want to be entered on the giveaway! I just stumbled on your channel while looking for Ys X reviews. I consider myself fairly new to this series, as I just started from Ys VIII where I have my favorite moments from this series as well. I don't have a specific moment as my favorite, but uncovering and learning Dana's history throughout the playthrough kept me going. Thank you and hoping to win so I can play this game!
Enter me! My best memories actually come from Ys III. It was one of the first games we got for SNES and I remember my older brothers loving it so much even if it was above my head at the time.
Glad to see this review. I've played a couple of the older Ys games...gave up on Ys VIII as I couldn't find my way off the island but going to go back and give it another try. I think my favorite memorable part from any action RPG would be in Tales of Berseria when found out the reason Laphicet was chosen for sacrifice. I would love to be included for a chance in your giveaway.
I want to be entered into the giveaway! I played Wanderers from Ys 3 on the SNES as a rental from Blockbuster back in the day. Having experienced the game for only a weekend, the incredible soundtrack stuck with me. Fast forward to Oath to Felghana coming out on the PSP I learned that it was a remake of that SNES game I played almost 20 years ago that I could still sort of hum the music for despite only playing once.. I bought Felghana on PSP and became an Ys/Falcom fan for life. I can't wait to play Felghana's console port coming next year!
Great video! I’d love to be entered. I’ve yet to play any Y’s game (except for an hour of Origin), but I’m playing through Trails based on your reviews so I’m sure Y’s Nordic will be fantastic, too! Thanks!
I'd like to be entered into the giveaway. Ys 8 was my first game in the series I played and it's still my favorite. I really liked the way that finding the other passengers from your ship and bringing them to the village allowed you to unlock new areas by having enough people around to physically move the larger obstacles. It made it feel like there was a reason to find these people other than the game telling you to do so.
I'd love to be entered into the giveaway. As for .y favorite moment in a Ys game, I'd say it's when in Ys memories of Celceta when you learn how Adol earned the title of adventurer and who gave him the title.
Nice review! Gotta admit: that bag looks great! Glad it's part of the collector's edition. One of these days, it'd be nice if NIS America brought over the Ys and Trails merch from JP side as little things you could get on their store page. Still not sure if I prefer the metal pin to the cards and sword letter opener Ys VIII's collector's edition had for the Switch, but the set looks great all around.
I'd love to be entered. My first Ys was VIII just last year but that has catapulted me into a love for both Falcom and Ys. I don't know how I didn't know about this company for so long. Just tried to buy Ys X today in Best Buy because there was a copy on the shelf but they declined it because their system wouldn't sell it be fore street date. So hyped for this game!
Okay, I’ll enter the giveaway. I’ve only played 8 and 9. I was unsure if I’d like it but gave it a try for Falcom’s sake. The moment I realized there was something special was the end of chapter 3 in Dana. Discovering the ancient side of the island just revealed how large the world was. Up to that point I was thinking “is this it?” And, well, no, it was not.
I’d like to be entered in the giveaway for Ys 10: Nordics! As a fan of the Ys series, I’ve enjoyed the fast-paced combat, incredible music, and the legendary adventures of Adol Christin. One of my favorite experiences was playing Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana. The exploration, smooth gameplay, and connection between Adol and Dana kept me hooked throughout. That game left a lasting impression on me, and I’m excited to see what Ys 10 brings with its new mechanics and Nordic-inspired setting!
Id like to be in the giveaway! My first exposure to Ys was the Vita Launch of Celceta. I loved the exploration and the characters. Then when Ys VIII released, I picked it up, and have replayed it at least 5 times, and definitely in my top 5 of all time greats.
I would like to be entered into the giveaway. My most memorable moment is in Ys Origin, when you beat the final boss with the secret unlockable character and another boss appears who turns out to be the real final boss! My hands were already sweating from the regular final boss. P.S. I have to share another amazing memory from Ys Origin because I love the game so much! My girlfriend watched me play this game and when I encounter a Roo, they speak in a runic language. She found a translation online and these little creatures have hilarious dialogue! They are adorable comedians! They seriously need merch!
I want to be entered into the giveaway. My only Ys game experience is on the SNES and I remember loving everything about the game, except the final boss that took me 2 days to figure out. Beating that boss was one of the highlights of my younger videogame life.
I want to be entered into the giveaway! My favorite Ys memory is around the start of Ys VI: The Ark of Napishtim. When Quatera Woods kicks in and you know a classic is about to unfold before you! P.S. Branden with the pseudo James Sunderland fit. That's a good look.
I would like to enter the giveaway. My favorite moment from Ys series was experiencing the ending in Oath in Felghana. It was my first Ys game and I played it on HARD. I can’t remember any other game feeling this rewarding after beating it.
I’d love to enter the giveaway! I want to get into the Ys series, and this game seems like a great place to start. I’m a fan of Final Fantasy and loved FF16, so I’ve been wanting to try other action RPG games. My favorite moment from FF16 has to be the Titan Eikon fight. All the boss fights are amazing, but this one really stands due to its epic scale and emotional significance in the story.
i do indeed want to enter the giveaway, and altough i love waaaay too many moment of ys games, i have to give it to the beggining of lacrimosa of dana. getting stranded on that island and hearing sunshine coastline for the first time... was a magical moment that i cherish because it instantly made me a fan of the series
Enjoyable review I really should get into the Ys series just too many games... Good video and all of that. Almost to 10k subscribers so keep up the work.
Would love to be entered 💪 My favorite memory from Y's was playing the very 1st game and immediately getting confused by "bump combat" 9 year old me jamming on the buttons thinking it was like zelda
I would like to enter the giveaway. as for favorite moment it would obviously be a tie between the interrogation at the beginning of Ys IX Monstrum Nox or the Specific cameo out of a specific NPC after collecting all of a specific item in the same game. thanks for the giveaway
I would like to enter the giveaway. I actually just dusted off my PSP to start YS 7 again. Doesn’t look the best to today’s standards but when it first released, I was amazed how good it looked. I was hoping that some of the earlier YS games would have ported over to the 3DS physically but unfortunately, it never happened. Great video as always
I’d like to be entered for the giveaway. I don’t have a particular favorite moment in the series but I just like that each game is its own self-contained journey while not being linear in the sense that Ys X is one of Adol’s earliest adventures
I wish I had a ps5, I'd definitely enter the contest. I've never actually played an Ys game before though. I've come close to trying VIII before but haven't had the chance to yet. An action rpg I did enjoy though was Sword Art Online Re: Hollow Fragment and going through the 100 level dungeon that's in the anime. And congrats on hitting 10k! Woot woot!
Please enter me in the giveaway! My experience with Ys is similar. I picked up 8 on a whim and loved it, then recently binged the whole series. Didn’t love 9 quite as much but nordics is the game I’m most excited for right now. Just tried the demo and fell in love all over again! I love slicing through enemies in the more vibrant settings, with the sick guitar riffs in the background.
I want to be entered in the giveaway! Ys has been on my backlog for a long time, played Origin and Book 1, I like the kinetic and fast pace of Origin. Chronologically this is soon so looking forward!
I want to be entered into the giveaway, and my favorite moment from the Ys games is meeting Dana in Ys VIII, as I find the story in that game well done, and find her to be such an interesting character! :D
Giveaway! I've played several Ys titles, but the only one I've actually beaten is the very first one. I want to finish more of the series, but Trails takes up almost all of my JRPG time!
I'd like to be part of the giveaway! Ys 7 was my introduction to action RPGs, played as a kid on the psp, that game shaped my taste in videogames, fast paced rpg is all I care about now lol
I'm still very excited for Ys X even though I now know that playing it will come with the risk of rocking my butt off. I'll just have to get one of those artificial butts like Hank Hill did so he could still use his riding lawn mower. 😆
I want to be entered in the giveaway. My favorite Y's memory is my first memory... playing the Y's game for PSP not even knowing what Y's was. Then falling in love with the series
My only experience is Ys III on Sega genesis. Loved the soundtrack so much I cleared it in one go. This one is a sidescroller though. I'd love to try the real Ys experience with this one.
I also strongly dislike silent protags... My fave Ys game is probably Celceta (I know... weird), but 8 has a special place in my memories as well. I had never played a Ys game prior to 8 and at the time I was working on the road and living in hotels. I would get bored and wander malls in search of something to do/kill time, and I went to a local game store and I was talking to the guy working there and he mentioned Ys 8 to me since it had come out that day (and I mentioned I primarily played jRPGs). I decided to pick it up, and played it in my hotel for weeks. After that I became a huge fan and played 9, Celceta, Origins, 7. Love the series. I would love to be entered for the CE!
Hi I'd like to be entered in the giveaway and my favorite moment with ys would probably have to be jules finding out how much his father cares for him in ys 9. It just felt like jules dad was gonna be a deadbeat father but it was so heartwarming finding out the truth how much his dad cared for him and just couldn't see his son cause of the position he was stuck in.
I want to be entered in the Ys X giveaway!.. My favorite Ys memory was when I got a tg16 & cd rom add on and fired up ys book 1 & 2 for tge first time when I was 16! Blew my mind!
I want to be entered into the give away. My fave memory isn’t one in particular it’s in YS 8 anytime the one Dream one Reality ost came on made me feel nostalgic for some reason altho I hadn’t heard it before. Got my YS X coming today along with romancing saga would love the special Edition tho it was hard to get in uk . great video as usual 😊😊
I wanna be in the drawing! I've been playing ys since I played the first one on the Master System (I'm old) but my favorite ys moment is the falling in the fire cave in Oath of Felghana (my favorite game in the series)
I'd like to be entered into the giveaway. I'm almost exclusively an old school turn-based guy. I gave Ys VIII a brief shot, but didn't stick with it like I should have and I think it's time I give the series another chance.
Hey, you win the giveaway! Let me know how I can reach you to confirm details!
He's just a Dodging Boy, Doddddggging Bboooyyy, he's not a blocking boy... blocking Bboooyyy, he's just a Dodging boy.
I loved my time with YS8. I haven't played YS9 yet but that giveaway looks gorgeous, I would like to enter! Also good job on reaching 10k subscribers!

Love the JRPG content!!

Good video, very hype for it next week. This is a big JRPG month for me. 😊
“Please use for attended purpose.”
Me: This sling is meant to hold the Sacred Stones of Shiva when I leave the Temple of Doom 😂
The demo was a long one! Already ready for the full version!
My favourite moment is when Adol meets Dana in the past!
This will be my first Ys game and I'm pumped to give it a try. Just got the shipping notification for the limited edition.
10k subs…..Let’s go!!!!!!! Welll done. 🎉 can’t wait for the Q&A
Wow great giveaway! I played almost all Ys games up to 8 and would really like to play and win this collector's edition too.
I already have a collector’s edition coming, but my favorite memory is defeating the vampire bat boss from the original game. He was so hard!!!
I’ve only played Ys VIII & IX, but my favorite part was in VIII when you figured out who Dana was and her role in the story.
Ys X comabt looks really cool.
My fav Ys memory is beating Ys IV: Dawn of Ys for PC engine CD. So many bangers!
Would love to be entered 💪
My favorite memory from Y's was playing the very 1st game and immediately getting confused by "bump combat"
9 year old me jamming on the buttons thinking it was like zelda
My favorite part was learning about Dana in ys8!
Woot woot!
Nice one! I would like to be entered in the giveaway. A memorable moment is when Adol finds Dana sleeping in the great tree.
Giveaway entry. My favorite Ys moment was definitely starting a new save file on Ys 1 because I couldn't beat the bat boss on Nightmare difficulty 😂
Wasn’t ready for that hair when starting the video
Want to be entered, you’re giving me sahad from ys8 vibes
Love your ysx review im going to get this game next month.
